Are you kidding!!!!!?? Youre worse than ME!!!!!!!!! hahaI do that too. Sometimes I even kiss her goodnight.
Nope. Lol. Only when I've waxed her. She tastes great!

Every time i park my Zed i have an uncontrollable urge to keep looking back at it as i walk away!!...anyone watching must think 'jeez what a Kn*b' (or worse!!)...i can only describe it as if a rather nice curvy bottomed lady were to pass me in the street and id have to sneakily turn round and gaze at the splendid view as she passed!!...ok well you know what i mean dont you!!...no?? ummm...
I've got to admit, I still do this too...
To my car, not curvy bottomed ladies.
-
Awwwww!! Still a great car tho!! The worst i think is the Z3!!Just don't look at the profile if you own the ragtop version and have the roof up... 'Challenging' is being kind
370Z got it so much better in that regard.
Funnily enough I was at the O2 with my sister today and she said whats that car over there (350z ragtop) the front looks like your old one but the rest is so ugly it looks all wrong

Hahahaha pml!!!!!!.........Phew, not just me then!!I did myself a pizza on one of the hot sunny days recently, did i eat it indoors? no! did I go sit in the sun in the garden? No! insted I opened up the garaged door, sat in my fold out chair facing the zed....
your not alone haha

Haha to be fair, there arnt many ragtops that look good with the roof up!! The Z4 for example!! Although i do like the 350 with the roof down!!Just don't look at the profile if you own the ragtop version and have the roof up... 'Challenging' is being kind
370Z got it so much better in that regard.

Very interesting to hear the various posts!! Im actually wondering if something's been done to mine as it feels pretty rapid all through the gears and definately quicker than around six seconds...but im in agreement that mid range is where it comes into its own...to be honest, whatever the '0-60' times were, id still love the car...id like to know who designed it as to look at it, where ever you stand, its a gorgeous sports car...some cars you look at are let down from certain angles or you find the front looks good but the back looks dreadful or vice versa...but the Z in my humble opinion looks great no matter where you stand, full of sexy curves, brutish arches and wow what an ass!!!!!!!!!

350 Z is more an 80 to 140 machine TBH (for safe overtaking)
Fixed that for ya
-
Me too!! Im not joking either!! Love my Z.I'd rather the Z than a porsche anyday. Not even joking.
-
Its pretty quick in all gears im thinking...What i have noticed is how many Porsche drivers look at you as you drive torwards them, almost as if they think its another Porsche!!...better looking id say...and not as common!!
-
Hahaha i meant theoretically lol!!Racing? I hope you mean on a track!
-
Since i got my Zed i began comparing 0-60 times with other makes and models of cars so id know who i could beat and who i couldn't!!...ok, i already knew a lot of them as i've had sporty cars before but thought id do a little revision!! And i found that unless its a super car, there isn't really much out there!! Ok there are a few in the same bracket but most others don't break the 6 second marker...the funny thing is that, most of the 'sports' cars in the 6-8 second bracket are always the ones that wanna race!! hmmmm. Anyways, its a bit of a random post but i thought id mention it...over and out.

I agree, they sound reasonably professional and feedback is good...im gonna wait until i see a few more threads i think. Interesting to know though.I just did a little google on the black code stuff, from what I can make it it does sound very similar to Uprev but with rather generic maps rather than a dyno tested maps specifically tailored for your individual car. Loads of good feeback on their FB page. However, I'd have to be on a tight budget and it would have to be about £50 for me to consider it over an uprev and even then I'd only consider it if I was leaving the car pretty much stock.
-
Hi, thanks for the info. What benefits are there to Uprev? There is only 4 Uprev dealers in the UK
Abbey Motorsport
TDI North (Abbey Sub dealer) Warrington
RS Tuning in Leeds
Horsham Developments (Berkshire)
And there is also a dealer in Ireland TDP in Wicklow just south of Dublin.
We have seen a few cars tuned with the generic tunes which we know does work with these cars , we always tune every car on our in house Dynapack.
Get you car remapped with Uprev far better system, you can even re-flash the car back to stock if needed.
Any questions ask away.

Haha good for you!! I'll look for a sparkling Z then!!
-
Great stuff...will have a look. Thanks.

Ok, im looking for a cargo net for my Zed but, call me tight, is there anywhere where you can get one for under £50 odd quid, its a lot of dosh for a net!!!! Or can you recommend a similar one that also fits!!??
-
Damn you lol...I was trying to get that plate!! Others werent good enough so im waiting on a 'nissan' looking plate. 'N55 SSN' when it arrives.
Hmmm i think i may have seen you a couple of times!! Actually I was in Bolnore earlier this eve!!Yup, Bolnore here. Hold the record for the mad mile drag strip run too
My plate is N777SMO - and I hardly ever drive it at the moment. Sad to admit this, but enjoying our little Fiat 500 quite a lot right now :S
Well i'll look out for you anyways!! Why arnt you driving it?
-
Like I said, I'm just passing on what I've been told as I thought it would be useful to know. I'm not saying I'm getting it done, in fact I'm not, personally I'd rather keep it standard. Anyway, here's the website, see what you think...I'm sure there'll be much debate!! www.black-code.co.uk

Ok, thanks for the advice, im presuming i can post their website?? as i think its worth investigating and informing people???? either way id like some opinions!

Yeah i will. Basically (very basically!!) they either come to your property or to where the car is and download the data from the ecu, send it back to head office where they then download it and remap it. Its then sent back and reinstalled into the ecu. A friend had it done last week on his top end merc. The ecu on the merc has some sort of anti tamper program (as does the Z apparently), they bypassed this and updated his ecu. Took about 2 hours. I asked what difference it made and he said a few things, quicker throttle response, more low down torque, very slight improvement 0-60 and better fuel consumption. Although he said he hadnt noticed any difference on the fuel side of things as yet. Funny enough, the guy i spoke to was an ex nissan guy and knew all about the Zs. I asked about the obvious stuff ie 0-60 times and he said there would be a slight improvement but it was more aiding response through the gears, torque and low down grunt that benefitted most. Interesting. Now im no high end mechanic so im only relaying what i was told by my friend and by the technician...but it sounds interesting to me!!...so far!!
Hmmm ive just been on the phone to Black code and they say they can do it...not via oem software though. The oem software cannot be remapped. The uprev tuning software is added to the ecu and allows for oem tuning on a dyno.
3 places can do it. Depends how far you want to travel and where you are located.
Leeds, London, Horsham
find out what software please as this is new to all members on here. Throughout the world uprev tuning is used or a new aftermarket ecu is fitted.
You wont get much gains to be honest without supporting mods. Even then you probably barely break the oem figures on most cars except the later HR engined cars
