  1. I saw this last night on Ebay, it really made my night, oh how I laughed... I was wondering if that boot ''spoiler'' (spoiler I thought very apt) was possibly a window lintel. And 15k ?????
  2. Bit off when he has old stock with SOLD up for ages though, very annoying..
  3. can you tack weld a nut on the nut, its probably weakened now and might turn.
  4. Unless its raining my roof will be down, no point having a roadster if you arnt going to enjoy it Exactly, which is why I posted a thread, Not ever owning or been in a convertible, I had no first hand experience, and now I have decided on a 350z, my last choice was, was it going to be coupe, or roadster. Then I started to see so many people in convertibles this last couple of weeks with the roof UP. I thought, short journey, broken roof, cant be bothered, why are the roofs up. I was shocked when the biggest problem was it was to hot. Although can quiet understand on reflection,
  5. I was contemplating a roadster at first, but I put a thread on PH why do I see so many convertibles with the roof up. Answers back mainly, it's to hot, or worse time to put the roof down is in the sunshine, they put the roof up and switch on the air con. Dry overcast day in the winter / autumn / spring, seemed to be the choice of ideal weather. Killed off any remaining nagging doubts that I wanted one.
  6. Not sure if trolling... Can you explain ?? Trolling ?? asking a simple question ?? cant see what your getting at, new here yes, not up to speed on these cars or mods, why would you think this.........
  7. Can you sort of pick and mix these parts, like a back bumper from chargespeed, the front from nismo, and the sides from another. is this possible or have you got to get the whole kit, from one manufacturer
  8. 4k And we wonder why our insurance premiums are so high...
  9. My son is only 22, and has a £1000 Honda Civic, which he has spent thousands doing up, bigger engine, turbos, carbon fiber, its a shell and goes like stink. I used to think why is he wasting his money doing this, his answer was if he spent 20 k on a brand new car, and over three years lost 12-15 k in depreciation that to most people would be ok, but to spend 1 k on a car and spend or in my view waste, 10k on mods is madness. even though he now has in his mind the ultimate car he wants and nobody else has, I had to admit defeat. Same as on top gear when they spent 100 k on trying to make a lotus go 200 mph, they failed totally, yet they found a guy, who turned up in a cardigan, in a hot ford sierra, with one arm out the window and no seat belt, just flew past the 200 mph mark. As they say you can't polish a turd, but certain turds, help grow beautiful flowers.
  10. Ha,MILD, I have a Land Rover Defender, the ultimate Meccano toy, there is nothing you cant change, MILD signs I have already built a car port, have a folder labeled 350z on my favourites tab, and had insurance quotes, which were not to bad, all fully comp quotes, ranging from lowest £169 - average £240. for me and the wife. And £800 for me the wife and 22 year old son, very reasonable I thought.
  11. Hello, I have been reading this excellent forum for quiet a while. Bit of back ground. My name is Steve, and live in Caerphilly, South Wales. My daily drive, a Land Rover 110 Defender. I have been looking for a weekend, 50th birthday, fun / toy / mid life crisis, call it what you want car. I originally started looking at, convertibles, starting with MX5 to small, I'm a big lad. Then I moved to SLK / TT to girlie for me. Then BMW 330CI Convertible, in the end too boring. Then I found the S2000, and really wanted this, but after a while, still a bit small, and also really you have to screw the a**e of it to really get it going, and this is not me now. So have seen a Z in the car park and thought that's the one, fairly rare, yet still main stream, Jap so more reliable than your average, and LOADS of bolt on goodies, (possibly mid life crisis bit here) Only question coupe or convertible, I think it is going to be the coupe, without wanting to tread on toes so early, but I think it looks better. So not in a rush, but hoping you can give your experience and help when needed, thanks Steve
