  1. Lots to consider to be honest but I would go pre 2005, yeah the Bhp is a bit less but the road tax is half and other than a different bonnet there isn't much difference inside is the same.

That aside try to get a GT model for your budget you should be able to get a 2004/2005GT with low to mid mileage. Once you get it you will be modding the hell out fit :)

  2. Agree it is sad but needs must and having a zed sat in the drive doesn't pay the bills if anything it adds to them :(

Totally understand why ppl have to get rid, just hope "touch wood" nothing happens to me and I can keep mine after all I have so many plans for her :)

  3. I had two qashqais the first one then the face lift both 1.5dci yeah it's no zed but I bloody loved both cars nice to drive great mpg and loads of space.

I did however get a bit bored and in December just got replaced my qashqai with a juke again 1.5dci, again nice drive but miss the space of the QQ which is why I plan to get a new QQ early next year.

TBH, I have been driving nissan most of my life, including my juke and zed I am on my 8th nissan totally love them but I have to agree the new QQ looks poor, I was actually excited when I headed back in2012 a brand new QQ was coming with new design inside and out the interior doesn't look great looks like something out of a ford and the exteriors is almost like for like of the new xtrail.

They defo played it safe. Let's just hope the new GTR and new zed are not the same plain old crap:( "rant over"

  4. Hi all,

I have plenty of mods I am working on for the zed over the coming weeks and all winter I don't doubt if work keeps dragging me to London but I am thinking of getting my seats "refreshed" by this I mean new plump padding and new leather covering I won't be starting this for a month or two but was to start thinking about it to totally discount it if mega expensive.

My question is has anyone does this and have an idea of cost and quality afterwords, also any good places in north west?

    Thanks

  5. Looks here also...

My zed is a hobby car really not a daily runner also I enjoy working on it myself and considering I don't drive it much at all I just wouldn't at the moment spend a lot of money on Bhp increase when I actually want to enhance the look which I am doing now.

That said once I am happy with the look externally I will be looking at other things like exhaust but that's mainly for sound for me rather than performance :)

  6. A bit I' m in Wigan , so a bit far. Middlehust skyline are near me but there main dealership

    STAY AWAY......

I am not too far away from them and been into them twice, first time to buy a qashqai and they made me feel like I was a trouble to them just wasn't interested in helping me at all. Got my QQ from a different dealer in the end.

2nd time, I went in to look at their zed's thinking I may have called on a bad day the first time. Bright eyed and with a pocket of cash ready to buy my first zed again I got the cold shoulder they couldn't have been less helpful.

A colleague at work had told me they also had a similar experience, I tell you know if I had 75k in my back pocket for a GTR I wouldn't even consider using them, would rather drive 200miles to the next nearest than use them.
