  1. Hi, Looking for a piece of exhaust for the Z, it's the Y-shaped piece that joins the two sides together, with the rubber/flexible parts in it. Not after anything fancy, stock or equivalent would be fine. Would need delivered to Inverness. Cheers - Adrian
  2. I'm up in Inverness so unlikely to be anywhere close by - if I can get a replacement motor then I'll swap it over myself. Cheers - Adrian
  3. Excellent cheers, just put an order in. Just the window motor now. Cheers - Adrian
  4. Hi there, Looking for a couple of parts for my 2004 350z: 1. Replacement window motor, passenger side if that makes any difference. 2. Replacement gas struts for the boot, that thing has clobbered me on the head once too often Many thanks - Adrian
  5. Full respray... new passenger window motor, head unit, boot struts, supercharger ... The colour matching does sound like it could be an issue, its an 04 so 11 years old now, I'm sure the orange isn't quite as it was when it left the factory. Hopefully it doesn't come to a full respray, I reckon I might have a bit more hassle getting them to pay up if it came to that. Bloody hassle I could do without! Cheers
  6. Shame the boot on the 350z isn't big enough or I might have! Luckily their mother was there and I have all their details, so you never know I might see some money for it.
  7. Hello, Just had a bit of an incident with kids outside my flat involving a large stone landing on my bonnet and making its mark Before I go and get quotes I just wondered if I could get a few opinions here, I suspect it will be a bonnet respray as the scratches are quite deep, down to the bottom layers of paint I would say. Large pic here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fmom32q034z81uy/2015-06-27%2017.51.17.jpg?dl=0 Cheers - Adrian
  8. Yes, I supplied the clutch/flywheel myself.
  9. Perhaps my reaction yesterday was a bit premature, picked the car up this morning and the bill was £408, still a bit steep but I did get them to look at a few other minor things so there was maybe an hour or so extra for that. Oh well, live and learn. Won't be in any hurry to use them again thats for sure. On the plus side the car now runs like a charm although it's going to take a bit of adjusting to, instantly stalled it when i picked it up as the biting point is now lower
  10. I was quoted 6 hours (verbally) which is a bit excessive but given the standard of work i've had from them before I was happy to go ahead with it, which would have come to just over £300. Wasn't expecting this many hours though, I'll see what they say in the morning when I get the final bill.
  11. Hi there, I've had the Z in today getting a new clutch and flywheel fitted, but the garage have taken 9 hours to do what I understand to be a 3-4 hour job and I'm in need of some ammunition to argue the costs with them. I've not even got the car back yet, despite them starting at 8.30am apparently! Are there any garage on here who would be kind enough to knock me up an official quote for the replacement of flywheel/clutch for a 2004 UK spec 350z? Many thanks,
  12. Cheers guy, the RDX one one looks really good
  13. Hi there, Some @#$%&* nicked the aerial off my 350z the other day, so I'm looking for a replacement - not fussed if its OEM or otherwise, new or second hand, as long as its in good nick and fits flush with the socket (I think the S2000 one overhangs the socket a bit?). Cheers - Ade
  14. Cheers for the quick replies - will have a look at replacing the parts mentioned. Zmanalex, if you don't mind can I drop you a PM as I was hoping to get the parts from yourself
  15. Hi all, Well, I suspected the clutch on my car was coming to the end of its life as the pedal was really high and it was juddery and sounded like a bag of nails when pulling away, especially when hot! Anyway, I noticed it has started slipping tonight so time to get it replaced. However, aside from the clutch, flywheel and release bearing (if thats what you call it, the thing that whines when the pedal is depressed), is there anything else in there that would be wise to change at the same time? Also I assume the general concensus is to replace the stock dual mass flywheel with a lightweight one instead? Cheers - Ade
  16. I've the Sony cam myself and been reasonably pleased with it, the wifi preview is really handy and they just added 1080p/60 with a firmware update. Battery will get you a good couple of hours at 1080p/30 before it dies. My biggest gripe is the lack of mounting options without the waterproof case, but if you can find a way of doing it, you can plug in USB power to keep it going while recording (handy in the car) Will upload some video from it tomorrow if anyone is interested?
  17. Doesn't surprise me, their way of making sure they make money in the future, robbing gits! I'll give em a shout tomorrow but considering they quoted me about £220 for a new key, probably won't be worth my while
  18. Bummer, had a good rummage through all the documents I have but cant see anything, only thing I noticed was in the car itself, inside the drivers door where the tyre pressures are, there is another small sticker there with the VIN number and a 4 digit code above it - I guess that wouldn't be it?
  19. Where abouts would you normally find the 4 digit code, would it normally be with the cars literature somewhere?
  20. Cheers for the info Kaizer, mine is also an '04 regged in June (if i remember off the top of my head) so I assume that would be the same part number as KyleR? The NATS code, I think thats the 5 digit code thats on the tiny metal keyfob that came with the keys? If so I have that number written down somewhere safe. A local garage who i've used a lot in the past quoted me £35 to do the programming, so as long as I get a fob with the right part number I should be good to go? Cheers,
  21. Hi there, I've had a search about the forums but didn't really pull up anything on reprogramming keys (that is, to start the car as well as open it!) - I'm looking to get a spare key for my Zed just in case, there are plenty of second hand Nissan fobs on ebay which match all the numbers on my own key, my question is can these second hand fobs be reprogrammed or would I need a new and unused one for programming? I also read somewhere that even if the model of fob matches, sometimes it's still incompatible - is this true, and if so is there any way to check? Regarding the actual programming, is this something only Nissan can do or are independant garages able to do it assuming they have the equipment? Cheers - Ade
  22. Hi all, The forum posts on here have been a huge help over the last few months when I've been sussing out the 350z, finally splashed the cash and picked up an orange 2004 gt model (with the orange leather too!) with 39k on it so here I am to say hello and say thanks for the help so far - no doubt I will be lurking around the forums a bit more from now on Cheers - Ade
