  1. Hi All, Will be picking up my new 2015 370Z Nismo on Wednesday, but just wanted to ask, do the Recaro Seats in it recline?
  2. Don't worry Ekona, that will probably be the only mod I consider. I like the car pretty much as it is.
  3. Thanks for all the comments everyone. I did notice when I bought the car that the back section of the exhaust was looking a bit rough and the tailpipes were a bit dirty inside, so I have thought about replacing the exhaust and adding HFC's for good measure. Would a remap be required afterwards?
  4. Thanks Ekona, I won't be messing with this one much. Lol.
  5. Hi All, Well I paid my deposit today for a Nissan 370Z Nismo (White). I will be collecting the car on Wednesday, so will take some proper pics of it when I get it home. In the meantime, here are a couple of pics from the advert.
  6. HI sipar69, Thanks for the tips. I don't think it needs much doing to it styling wise myself. I would like to upgrade the exhaust though and add HFC's. I did that when I had my 350Z and if definitely sounded better.
  7. Hi All, If things go well on Saturday I could be the proud owner of a 370Z Nismo. It's been a few years since I had to sell my 350Z GT4 and since then I've been driving a standard Ford Focus and as you can imagine, the driving experience isn't quite the same. Lol. One question I do have is about performance modding. Since the Nismo version is already performance enhanced, will mods such as a new exhaust system, HFC's, induction kit, etc be of any real benefit? I'm happy to just leave it as it is I am more into styling to be honest. But again, with the Nismo version looking as great as it does, I'm even tempted to not bother making any styling changes either. What do you guys think?
  8. Hi Ekona. I will be using it for diagnostic purposes, checking for error codes, etc. But the Nissan Datascan software also has additional functions that I would like to learn more about. I'm not proficient enough to change settings or anything and I wouldn't want to try. I would just like to be able to interpret the data and understand what effect the different setting have on how the car runs.
  9. I'm perfectly happy with the Nissan Datascan software and that will be the one I will end up using. Was just curious about what other software packages were available and I don't see many advertised.
  10. Hi All, I am aware of the Nissan Datascan software as I had version 2 of this when I had my 350z. A third version is now available for Android devices and I know that they are currently beta testing a windows version too. I will probably purchase the windows version when it is released. Was just wondering though, does anyone know of any other diagnostic software that is available, which will work with a 370z?
  11. I'm definitely going to give both a drive Davectr. Think I'm going to have to do a bit of travelling though as there doesn't seem to be any 370Z for sale in my area.
  12. There are certainly some good arguments from both sides. I've only ever owned one car that was an automatic, but it was old and I will admit, the automatic gearbox on it was dire. My view changed though when a friend took me for a drive in their 14 plate Audi TT black edition. It was so responsive and the automatic gearbox was fantastic. Still, all these arguments could be irrelevant anyway. As a couple people on here have said, the Nismo version only comes with a manual gearbox.
  13. It is down to my own personal preference, but it never hurts to get other points of view. Thanks guys.
  14. Hi Jetpilot. I like the point you have made. I do want a 370z and yeah I want to make some performance and styling modifications to it. But now I am working again, I want to go away for weekend breaks more and I want the car I am driving to make the journey as enjoyable as the holiday itself. That's partly why I asked for everyone's thoughts as to whether I should go for a manual or automatic. A manual is great, but as you say, if your spending a lot of time stuck in traffic, your really not getting the best out of it. This is why I am considering going for an automatic. I've always liked the thought of having a automatic GT car that will happily eat up the miles and allow me to enjoy the ride more. So it's certainly something I'm seriously thinking about.
  15. Thanks for the feedback guys. I will of course post pics, etc once I've made my purchase. So watch this space.
  16. Apologies for posting in the wrong section. 15/20 bhp is what I thought it might be. You are right though davey_83, it is more to do with the personal enjoyment I get from making the modifications. Performance mods are great, but my real interest is styling and that's what I will be primarily concentrating on once I've made my small performance tweaks. Just one last thing before I forget. Should I go for a manual or automatic 370z?
  17. Hi All, It's been a while since I posted on the forum. I previously owned a 350Z GT4 which unfortunately I had to sell due to losing my job. I've been getting around in a 2006 ford focus since then. However, having started a new job back in June of 2017, I am now wanting to get myself a new car. Specifically I'm looking at getting myself a 370Z and budget permitting I would like to go for a Nismo version. I think I posted a question about performance mods when I had my 350Z and just want to ask the same question about the 370Z. What sort of gains could I expect if I made some performance mods to the car? I would probably do similar to what I did with my 350Z. New exhaust system, berks HFC's and K & N air filter or similar. I think I gained about 15 bhp when I had my 350z uprevved at Horsham Developments after applying the mods. Would the increase be about the same with a 370Z? Will be interesting to hear your views. Thanks.
  18. Thanks Jetpilot. Your right, ultimately it is down to me. I have been looking on Ebay and Autotrader, but if the timing is right and a forum member happens to be selling one, then I'd definitely prefer buying one from someone on here. At least that way you know it's coming from someone who has the same sort of passion for zeds and it's more likely that it's been well looked after too.
  19. Thanks Colin747, As you say, I'm sure other people will have other views and opinion, but you have raised some good points. I would have kept my GT4 had it not been for financial difficulties at the time. It was the perfect buy. The price was within my budget, you got a little more power and being a 2005 model, it was in the lower tax bracket. I would love to upgrade to the 370Z, but having looked at the current prices, I'm really going to be hard pushed to find the finances for that.
  20. Hi All, Been without a zed now since last October and have decided that I want another one. Currently sorting my finances out, but hope to be in the market for one in the next month or two. My last zed was a Ultra Yellow 2005 GT4 which had the DE engine and I'm aware that newer zeds have the HR engine. Now I know everyone on the forum will have their own particular preference, but the main points i'm interested in are as follows: 1. For the additional cost in Tax, is upgrading to a zed with a HR engine worth it? 2. Performance gains through modding. Is there more scope with the HR engine than there was with the DE engine? 3. Lastly, are the differences between a HR zed and a DE zed, significant enough to be a deal breaker? Oh, in case your wondering, I haven't forgotten about the 370Z. Just not sure I can push my budget to affording one of those.
  21. Hi All, I am selling a Microsoft Lumia 640 mobile phone. Included with the phone will be a 32GB SD Card which is already installed and a phone dock. The phone itself is in excellent condition and still has a screen protector applied. It is currently locked to O2, however I do have the unlatching instructions which I will provide to the buyer so that they can unlock the phone if they wish. I would have done this myself, but it involves inserting a sim from a different provider to bring up the unlock code entry screen and I don't have one to hand. For forum members I'll sell for £45 and will do free P & P.
  22. The last time I looked into respraying a car was about 12/13 years ago when I owned a Toyota Supra MK4. Back then car wrapping, dipping and all these other advancements weren't really on the radar. It's only now that I've been thinking about it again that I'm aware of the additional options that are now available. I said when I first joined the forum that I was a bit of a late starter when it came to cars and modding. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not that clued up on these things. I get garages to fit all my mods, etc as I'm crap at doing it myself.
  23. Wow, that Audi looks amazing. Will definitely look into this Autoflex some more. Until I asked about a flip paint respray, I had no idea that these other options were available. Thanks all.
  24. You learn something new every day. I knew you could dip small items, but I didn't know you could dip an entire car. Definitely worth looking into though considering the price difference. Thanks JetPilot and valy, I thought the cost would be around 5k or more. Will have to look into Flip Vinyls too and compare prices.
  25. Hi All, Sold my zed last year but missing it loads and seriously considering looking around for another. It will be a few months yet as I need to sort funds, but I'd like to get one that I can do up and one of the things I've always fancied is getting a respray done using a flip paint. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I personally love it. Couple of questions really. 1. Can anyone recommend a good bodyshop that could do this type of respray? I'm in Somerset, but I don't mind travelling a bit further a field. Obviously somewhere close to me would be ideal, but I'll happily travel a bit further if I have too, to make sure I get a good quality job done. 2. I'm under no illusions that it will be quite pricey, but just roughly, any thoughts on what it would cost? Thanks.
