That noise! brought a silly grin to my face. Exhaust was glowing nicely too. Can they go round corners too?

On mine it was very easy to see that the banana arm bush had failed, as the arm was sitting right down on the mounting bolt - you can see it if you look under the car behind the front wheel - you may be able to move it at the chassis mounting if its failed like mine - but your mechanic would surely have spotted this
-
I found when bleeding mine recently that it helped to have the car revving to get the pump producing some pressure and the coolant circulating faster. I had the bleed valve completely unscrewed and just waited for a decent airless flow to emerge from it - just need some rubber gloves to put the valve cap back (wish I'd thought of the coke bottle trick!)

v nice, but rear plate is wonky!

great shots!

thanks alex
I was just trying to work out how many times you'd have to turn the engine over in order to get the timing marks back in line with number 1 cylinder at TDC (compression) - turns out its quite a lot!
This confused/worried me when I was doing the job as I thought the timing was going "out" after I had turned the engine over - which didnt make any sense.
-
Does anyone happen to know this, also the number of teeth on the crank sprocket? - Just trying to solve a little puzzle I encountered when refitting the timing chain on my engine.

Discovered lift-off oversteer during a spirited run over the blubberhouses pass (A59) in my lovely alfasud 1.3ti - back end came round, ns rear wheel hit the kerb and smashed the disc off the hub and the car ended up against the barrier, which I'm quite glad was there! Other damage was a buckled wheel and nsf wing, oh, and a bit of pride! I changed the wheel and removed the disc and got home ok!

This looks interesting - thanks for posting!

Crickey, that really sucks dude! Sounds like a Keighley Trade Centre special...
ha, they are local to me and I test drove a 350z of theirs - sounded awesome with a powerflow exhaust, but I got the impression they would not be easy to deal with. Now called motorhub and based in an old multi-storey cp in keighley - lots of exotic metal

Dont be put off, it will be great and if you can do bits of servicing and maintenance yourself you will save a fortune, especially if you can can get a zeditus jab. Mine is bone stock and I love it. Have you thought about a cat D or C if you're on a budget? Mine was cat C due as both front wings were damaged.

Welcome - We get across to York reasonably often, so might see you. North Yorkshire moors have some great driving roads and the Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge is a good lunch stop.
