  1. After have some seriously good engine bay work done by MopedMark, I'm looking to add some polished parts. Who out of Mishimoto supplies the best looking and fitting coolant tank and Power Steering reservoir?

BTW - As soon as the parts are in I will post up a few pictures showing the work Mark has done, it looks the dogs dangles.

  2. Not even reading the rest lol ...why did you leave your car at Halfrauds... They should be paying it.

As per my opening post, I'm currently working 12hr shifts 7 days a week on the XE launch, the wheels needed balancing and its right next door to Jaguar. The good news is that I have received email confirmation from Halfords, confirming that the parking charge has been cancelled.

  3. Halfords have written cancelled on the letter along with the date and the managers signature. So hopefully that will be the end of it, but I am a little concerned that they may not have the authority to cancel parking charges, even though its the only place to park if you are have work being done by them. I have written to Halfords CEO (Thanks Ebized  ) to ask him to confirm.

  4. I've had a few of these "parking fines" and I've ignored every single one. Don't even need to challenge it, don't have to pay!

I have just come back from Halfords and the manager photo copied the letter he told me he would get it cancelled and he wrote the word cancelled along with the date, he then signed it. I just get the impression that this is going to run on and will probably get loads of letters. Do I risk sending a copy of the cancelled letter to UKPC or just completely ignore everything from them from now on in?

  5. I'm assuming that the big white sign in front of the very spot you parked in says that you can't stay for more than four hours??

Yes that the spot. However, because Halfords had the keys and had accepted my vehicle, that the rules did not apply. If they did, then Halfords should have made that clear when they told me to leave the keys with them when they took responsibility for my car?

  6. After swapping my wheels over for a set of 370z Rays, I noticed that I was getting vibration when driving above 60 mph and as I am work 12hrs shifts 7 days a week, I thought I would drop the car off at Halfords in Castle Vale, Birmingham.

I spoke to the Halfords manager who said they were busy and that if I left them the keys (they recorded it and I signed for the work to be done) and had a chance they would balance the wheels for me and phone me when it was done. By the end of the day the I hadn't had a phone call so went round and collected my keys from Halfords, the manager appologised and said to try again the following day.

10 days later I get a letter from UKPC with a £100 parking charge (not fine) reduced to £60 if I pay within 14 days because my car had overstayed the maximum 4 hours. My car was parked opposite Halfords garage doors as shown in the pictures below.

I plan on speaking to Halfords about the issue and asking them for a copy of the dated receipt I signed and challenging the parking charge, but the problem is that I could end up having to pay the whole £100.

Any thoughts on what I should do?

  7. pinched mine as well a while ago, in a supermarket car park, bought some nismo anti theft but not great because if they decide to do it again and It doesn't come off might damage the thread...

The spin caps, just turn so no grub screw they are hard to remove unless you have the key. they cost about £6.00 a set on ebay.

  8. Next to the batter and fuse box you will see the cars wiring harness. Carefully cut a slit in the rubber grommet that contains the vehicle wiring harness. The amp power cable can then be fed down into the passenger foot well. Make sure you re -seal the cut with silicon sealant to stop water seeping into the car.

  9. To be honest mine doesn't look too bad. I can't get RT to fit it as they are too far away. My car is my daily driver and I thought it might be easier to try and fit it my self and then remove it and get it dropped off for painting.

  10. Why don't you change the title of your post to "Anyone got a DA Polisher I can borrow" bung them $20 job done

If he's local I have both a DA and Rotory he could borrow for a day to 2.. At no cost.

  11. Thanks. the Chargespeed I have is from RT. I have a spare bumper and plan to use that as a template for all the holes etc.. And hopefully it will fit without needing trimming as. I just want to send it off to be painted.

  12. Can anyone with a Chargespeed rear bumper fitted to their 350z please do me a favour and post up a picture of how the number plate light and boot release look? I am planning to have a go at fitting mine before send it off to be painted.

  13. I'm still looking for an exhaust to replace my Milltek on my 350z and can't decide between a Stillen, Invidia or an Ark everything seems to be out of stock just lately, but whilst looking I came across this site that has some great sounding exhaust clips I though might be of interest.
