About 8-9psi M45 Jackson racing Supercharger with a smaller SC pulley and a crank overlay, EV14 550 injectors, intercooler, and Megasquirt 2 with mods. gave me 218 bhp, not bad from a car that was 110bhp standard.
All fitted and road tuned by me, with a final run on a rolling road to fine tune.

What are those 19" wheels with the polished rim?
-
I used AEM without any problems in both my Mk1 and Mk2 MX5's.

Looks great do you have any close ups?

One of my biggest problems with a cat c or d, is the resale value.
Not really, you pay 3k less for a Cat D and you get 3k less when you sell it. Net loss is the same as U.K Zed. Might take you longer to sell it though.
Pete
Problem is that the cat c/d's I've seen are going for 6 - 7k.
3k was just a number I plucked out of the air, could be 2k, 4k anything really.
Pete
Most of the ones I've seen with about 60 -70k miles on them are around the £7.5 - £8k mark.
-
It's not so much resale value as it is the fact that it puts buyers off. If you have to price your cat d car 2k less for it to sell you still run the risk of people thinking 'nah I'll just save up/get a bigger loan'.
Imports are similar but to a much lesser extent. They have a stigma attached that they're some sort of time bomb waiting to go off which outs SOME people off (far less that a write off would).
Not to say you shouldn't buy either but be warned you are definitely restricting you resale target market.
My thoughts exactly.

What is the the head unit of choice that will work with the bose speakers, bass and steering wheel controls?
I haven't got the a zed yet, but have been looking around to see what is available. I want iPhone compatibility, DVD, mp3 sat nav and input for a rear facing camera.

More than I can afford at the moment, but a very nice looking motor.

You wont find a UK auto all autos are JDM's
I dont want an auto.
I've had a couple of quotes. I'm 48, full no claims, wife is a named driver, car would be fully comp and the highest I had was £356 for a 350z GT4. Its usually around the £300 mark, my SC'd MX5 with all mods declared is £329.
-
As Will said, I would opt for a GT Coupe. Perhaps save an extra 500, and you'll be able to find a decent example.
CAT C/D and JDM may potentially more difficult to sell on.
Good luck
Hi mate,
I'll be putting my Ultra Yellow 350z with 19" Nismo LMGT4s and V1 Nismo Spoiler up shortly for sale prob around May/June if you would be interested has got 55000 on clock, FSH and just passed MOT yesterday with no advisories or failures
PM if you want some pics or further details.
PM sent.
Is there any reason why imports are an issue? I know that with the MX5, insurance companies raped anyone that had one and Mazda dealerships, thought the parts were different.

Thanks for the replies. One of my biggest problems with a cat c or d, is the resale value. I tend not to do a lot of miles, my Mk5 had 39k on the clock when I bought it 2 years ago and I've only done 7k since I've had it. The cat C and d or seem like they've got low mileage, but the resale value is going to be crap.
-
I've been looking for a decent low mileage( upto about 60K) 350z and have come across loads of cat and cat d 350's that hav been repaired and they all seem fairly steep.
Can anyone tell me what the difference between a cat C and a cat d? Are they worth buying? I have about £7000 to spend and I dont want anything in silver, because I've had quite a few cars in that colour. I really like The GT4 yellow and think the orange with orange interior looks stunning.

Here's the thread.http://forums.**REMOVED**.com/topic/31937-nissan-350z-gt4-with-nismo-kit-extras-for-sale/

On another forum I saw a nice 350z GT4 with a very tidy in car PC installation. I have tried contacting the owner to see if he had a build thread, but haven't had a reply. Has anyone on here done anything similar? if so could you post up a link to your build thread. I've tried searching but can't find anything.

Welcome mate.

Has the VIC test been done and do you have the V5?
-
I love the black wheels with the orange rim. Is it painted on and do you have a close up of them?
-
-
My preference was for a sunset 350z with the orange interior. I haven't seen the orange leather in the flesh yet, I have only seen photo's, is it more of a bright copper colour.
-
Welcome mate, I'm a noob myself also on the look out for a 350z. Looks like you've had some interesting cars.
