I have a set of Rays to go on that are 8.0 all round. I plan to fit 225 all round, will that cause a problem?

No that turns a double din into a single din.

It's insured, I'm just not using it until my 5 has been sold. - it provides motivation and gives mr time to make the changes I want to make.

After searching for the right car in the right colour and spec, I managed to finally get the one I wanted, and I bought it fairly cheap with 49k low mileage, Berk de-cats, Miltek Exhaust, JWT pop charger, Gia Cuzzo Colour matched spoiler, front splitter and with a full service history.

I only insured it for a day whilst I drove it home and its been sat on my drive while I sell my MX5. It also gives me the chance to make all the little changes I want to it, to personalise it a little.

So far I have replace the Bose radio with an all singing all dancing Appradio 2, installed a review camera and swapped over the standard boot struts with uprated ones, so that my boot lid stays up. By far the biggest change has been getting my seats reconditioned by Midlandmars, it cost me £225, but was worth every penny. The drivers seat was the worst, check out my before and after pictures.

As you can see Tony at MidlandMars has done an absolutely stunning job and to be honest I was close to getting rid of them and buying a decent secondhand set, which would have no doubt set me back more than I spent getting these done, and it only took them 2 days.

I have a set of Rays that I got for a bargain £300 delivered, that I plan on getting refurbed in shadow chrome. There's a new set of genuine Nissan mats on the way, along with new leather gaters to match the interior.

Thanks for the advice, I was looking at how I could add some colour or texture to the slab of black.

I've been thinking about using some carbon fibre wrap on my door cards. Has anyone else done it? Can anyone that's wrapped or modified their door cards please post up a few pictures for inspiration?

I broke one of mine whilst fitting uprated gas struts, the lip pops open fine but, it annoys me knowing there should be 2.

I've used City Powder Coaters in Birmingham and have found there work to be spot on. The will clean/strip and power coat wheels for about £25 a corner.

Is there anything that lets you swap between sub an speakers? How many RCA outputs do you have on your head unit?

I had a similar problem when fitting my Appradio 2, check your settings on the radio itself.

I'm looking at getting a set of new over mats for my recently purchased 350z, and as I've spent all my money buying the car, I want a set as cheap as possible.

What are people's experience of buying none genuine ones from ebay? Are they false economy? Do they drop to pieces within a few months? Is there a particular trader that you recommend?

I'm looking for inspiration, I've ordered some Hexis carbon wrap, but before I start, I want to see what others have done to their interior.

Which one is the + wire on the back wire cluster?. I tried the light green one with silver bands as described on another thread and I get nothing.

I have everything connected up to my Appradio, but I don't know which where to connect the reversing wire from the head unit to? Where does the + and - wire from the camera go to?

I have a 2003 UK GT, and have tried following the guide on here, but all I'm getting is a black screen with a warning that "objects may be reversed"?

As you correctly guessed, the Appradio needed setting up correctly.

The ICT leads have 4 RCA plugs. A red, white, black and yellow.

On the back of my new HU there are only 2 red and 2 white. Which are (according to the HU wiring diagram) 'Front/subwoofer output RCA connectors.

I will double check the manual.

It has 2 pairs of RCA outs.
