  1. Afternoon all.

I am looking to sell my Nismo style front splitter. I bought this from a fellow forum member last month and it is in as-new, non-fitted condition. Only reason I have not used it is because I have since bought a full nismo bumper which I plan to fit instead.

Also selling a passenger side arm rest, complete with elec control.

Nismo front splitter - £100 delivered (Will sell for £80 if collected from the Durham area)

Paypal prefered, cheques accepted but items will only be sent after payment has cleared. Collection also welcomed.

    Cheers

  2. Just looking at the outward appearance, looks fine.

Cat C is fairly light damage so assuming its all OK I don't see why not. It costs more money, but get an AA inspection done on it before you commit and take it for a proper test drive.

if all checks out could be a nice save.

Cat C refers to heavy damage. The lesser category being D. I would avoid.

  3. I recently put my car through a P3 at the local Nissan garage, for peace of mind more than anything else. Anyway, I got the report back from the mechanic and the only issue he noted was that the clutch could do with replacing. I talked to him to ask what he was basing this on and he told me (in brief) "The clutch feels stiff". Now I have owned cars before with hard clutches, but never experienced any problems arising from it, this includes the Z. I haven't noticed any dips in power when going through the gears, nor anything else untoward. Should I consider changing the clutch just based on what he said? Are 350z clutches general quite stiff? Is there anything I can do (or watch out for) to determine if it needs a change?

    Cheers:)

  4. Not sure if I have used the correct terms in the title, but I am hoping to fit an additional storage cubby (or at the very least, the cover) behind the drivers seat. Unfortunately the metal work shown below is in the way. Does anyone know if it is removable? If not, any ideas what I can do to fill the gap?

  5. Peanut butter works for removing stains from plastic trim.

GTechniq C4 for the trim. As for cleaning, an IPA wipe-down will suffice before C4.

The rubber will benefit from being "fed" periodically to keep it at it's best, so Einszett Gummi Pfledge for the rubber a couple of times a year.

Just bought some C4 and Einszett. Cheers for the info:)

  6. I asked the same question when I was looking to buy. I bought a car with 92k. However, it had a full history and only two past owners. As already said, the engines are good for 200k +, if treated correctly (well)

  7. Can anyone recommend a product that I can use to restore the faded plastic and rubber on the exterior of my car? I occasionally use Back to Black, but it's effects are temporary at best. Is there anything else I can use that offers a more permanent solution?

I was considering painting the areas, but I'd rather avoid doing that if possible.

    Cheers

  8. So on a car I was going to leave as Nissan intended in the 2 months of ownership I have managed to

    Fit a HKS pannel filter

A week later order and fit a JWT pop charger

Get the wheels refurbed and painted

    Fit braided brake lines

    Fit a new audio setup

Orderd a full coolant and induction samco hose kit

Scheduled in for a DC exhaust system

Planning an up rev and inlet spacer

    And Decats

And god knows how many body parts I've looked at so that's inbound aswell

    Where will it end.....................................

It's a disease, mate. I've had mine for three weeks now, in which time I have -

    Installed a new exhaust system

    Added a front splitter

    Changed the console trim

    refurbed the alloys

    changed the belts

    changed the window motors

    added new door trim

    sanded and re-painted scratched trim

    Put it through a P3

    Detailed the engine bay (ongoing...)

My name is James. I have a problem.
