  1. Are those of you who are insuring high performance cars below the age of 25, putting additional drivers onto their insurance in order to lower the premium? Only reason I ask is because at 22, I tried to insure myself on a TVR Chimaera and the only way I could get insurance below 5k was by adding my 50 year old dad as a driver. I also remember trying to get a quote for a Renault 5 Gordini turbo at 17 and being laughed off the phone by the rep, but that's a different story.

  2. Nissan 350z GT Fairlady

Unfortunatly, I am having to sell my 350z after only 3 months of ownership. My only reason for selling is due to a change in circumstances. To cut a very long (and boring) story short, I now need a car with more seats. In the short time I have owned the car it has served me very well and I have had many days of fun with it. I will be sad to see it go. It is in good condition for its age and drives faultlessly. I am more than happy to post additional pictures if required. I would ideally like to see it sold to someone who intends to remain in the 350z community and who can fully appreciate the automotive excellence that is the 350z.

  3. Just got back from tyrespot. Car sorted:) Alignment was out by a huge amount. The car drives superbly now. Only slight issue is that the steering wheel wont sit straight, it is still off to the left slightly. They tried to correct it, but couldn't.

  4. I think it's about time I did something about the shameful state of the seats in my car -

God only knows how it became so worn down. It almost looks like it's been gnawed by rats. I'd also like to get both seats restored and dyed red if possible. Does anyone have any recomendations and/or ideas of cost?

  6. For four wheel alignment try Tyrespot in Darlington. ( manager John ) . excellent service and total cost about £ 70 .

Had mine done when fitting new tyres last year and they were well out at the rear.

Perfect. I'm 15mins out of darlo. Hopefully I can get it all sorted. Will update.

    Cheers:)

    James.

  7. Cheers for the info. I'll look at getting a professional to sort the alignment, tracking and pressure. Hopefully that will be the end of it. Any reccomendations for north east based garages? I'd take it to Nissan, but they are a bunch of knuts.

  8. I took the car out the other day on the motorway, first time since I bought it....I noticed when driving at speeds 60+ that the car has a very wandering, floaty uneasy feel to it. Although this doesnt happen all the time, it is quite worrying when it does. It almost feels like I have to fight to keep the car in a straight line sometimes.

I'm trying to eliminate all possible causes, but being a novice when it comes to mechanical thingies, I'm stumped. Would mixing tyre brands cause this? I also noticed this morning that the steering wheel has fallen out of alignment, albeit slightly. I'm hoping this isn't something serious...Any help, greatly appreciated:)

    Cheers

    J:)
