  1. More seriously, thank you for the replacement part. With service like this true loyalty is built. Recommended.
  2. In which I find Adrian has moved into financial services too. My Torqen pension plan arrived today. A little something for my old age
  3. However, budget for tyres… when I went it was about 34 degrees on the track, tyres at max PSI, lots of drifting. They didn't stand a chance!
  4. +1 for Car Limits. Best value/most useful thing I've ever done as a driver. I use those skills every day! Great fun, good teaching.
  5. Hahahah nob off! Check the last three words in my signature
  6. Here's a sample of what I've got. Need to think about prices and see what will sell before I list stuff.
  7. You are all very kind… but I must sell some bits before I go on with the shopping list. My butt-dyno and moderate right foot and lessons in car control are my traction management at the moment! A TC would take the fun away! There's a lot to be said for having a mental car that you need to be on your toes to drive.
  8. Haha funny man! I was happy with it before the accident at Westfield, though it took a while to get it sorted with the oil cooler and tune, which is now not running super rich as per your observation when it was at RTP. Then you (yes you Adrian) sold me your entire catalogue of parts hahah.... That gearbox is so much better than the stock config too. The harshness of the shifts was affecting how I could enjoy the car, but with the Level10 stuff the shifts are quick and smooth. Anyway, I have a fantastic end result.. ...save for the drop links which need a look at
  9. I can easily break loose in the wet. The difference is that both wheels spin up, rather than just the 'one wheel wonder' with the old diff! The tyres are a bit worn now too.
  10. Boring status update: the air intake temps are consistently reporting 4 degrees above ambient. Even after a jolly good thrashing. Whohoo! Plus, that diff in the wet — whohoooo! Lots of controllable fun!
  11. Here is a sound recording made by a passenger. Turn it up, headphones on! https://soundcloud.com/dajw/370z-with-ark-grip-motordyne-resonated-test-pipes
  12. I've asked a mate to share the clip he took of it. Will post back when I have it. Closed roads, controlled conditions etc.
  13. Oh, and an exhaust that sounds amazing — the properly naughty sound that a car like this should make!
  14. Zero issues to report a few days in. No knocking (that I can detect). Not heat issues, temps still nice and low at close to ambient so that drop in intake temps must have helped greatly. Basically the car is back to the level of performance and confidence that it was at before this years' messing about, but with a better gearbox, diff and suspension. Yay!
  15. 2012 onwards yeah — it has some kind of heat exchange between oil and coolant. It was made standard from 2012. I understand that isn't any good for tracking the car, but for enthusiastic driving its fine.
  16. Haven't got oil over 95 yet. The oil pan spacer seems to help.
  17. True Josh… before they would start high 20s and move to low 40s *pre charger*. I'd say this was 10-20 degrees above ambient. Now it's 4-6 degrees above ambient. Quite the drop!
  18. Well a spirited drive home and not once did the intake temps go above 19 degrees, oil at 95 degrees. No knocking, no dodgy noises (except the end links). I think I made a good choice so far… more data as I keep driving.

  20. I spoke with Jez earlier today when I collected the car about moving things forward with the charge temp monitoring. It is presently not possible with UpRev as the intake temp and coolant temp tables appear to be one and the same. (Or at least, they are on Josh's car). I asked about EcuTek, with a "I'm reluctant, 'cos I don't want to go through a full re-tune and licence' but it is something I will consider if UpRev aren't going to be able to manage this. We'll see what the costs are :-S. Eek. For now, the tune is slackened off a bit around the low rpm area where there was occasional trouble, and the oil cooler is in a box, cleaned and ready to go.
  21. Haha Adam! The oil cooler is excellent, just not where it was fitted on my car where it was excellent as an intake and HX warmer!
  22. Yep, I agree but there wasn't a problem before. Anyway, nothing is 100% certain with modifications — I'll do what I always do, change something and monitor the outcome! Can't wait to get back in the car!
  23. I took Reggie to H-dev where Jez and the team would look at how to move the various coolers about to make room for either a bigger HX for the charge cooler, or something else. Anyway, there's not a lot of room up front without messing about so I've decided to whip the oil cooler out and see what happens. My rationale is simple. I never had any oil temperature issues with or without the supercharger. When I added it, the oil radiator runs hot all the time (100C or so) and right next to the air intakes and in front of the stillen charge cooler radiator. The way it was installed caused the engine to ingest hot air (before the supercharger), and warm up the charge cooler (so it was less effective). All bad. My car is late enough that it has the oil/coolant exchanger from factory anyway, which explains why it never had any issues with oil temps. Work done: Oil cooler off (will be sold). Fit replacement 7-rib idler. New oil filter (the old one was crushed a bit in removal). Changed both headlights as one failed (upgraded to Philips D2S 4800K X-treme Vision Bulb, should be a bit brighter than OEM). Check the tune, engine and mechanicals health. Adjust the exhaust position as it has moved a bit. Stuff I will sell (to be listed later): Mishimoto oil cooler, thermostatic sandwich plate, lines etc. (4000 miles use). Frozen boost air-to-water HX type 101. (Never fitted). Jez' photo showing state prior to changes:
