The bearing you can see is the con rod bearing and crank shaft. You can see the scores on both shell and crank. The Con rod is also scored underneath the shell. The head will need to come of the remove the piston and con rod. I will be replacing all piston rings in the process. I personally think the crank will grind but i will be replacing the crank for piece of mind. Just waiting now on Lee and Arian to sort me some prices out. i can buy all parts for £1000.00 + tax duty ect on z1motorsport.com but its in America.

The Crank hadn't done any big end bearings. Just a Con rod Bearing. I was intending to have octets engine but at the time had alot going on with family and my business. Had one of my vans done twice in 6 weeks, taking about 6ks worth of tools. In middle of n extension on my own house. Then lost me nan 10 months after granddad and I had promised her I would buy her house as a pension. so I have only just finalised all this and now have spare cash to get the engine done. Bit of a life story lol. Now im looking for the cheapest possible option as i don't really want to spend anything lol. I even thought about ditching the car but I couldn't bring myself to do it as i love the car too much. Here is the price list from main dealer. SKMBT_C22015032409340.pdf

I'll be getting the engine back tomorrow. Guy just is not interested in the job at all. I'll do the engine rebuild myself. Just need to get tolerances for everything.

Alright guys. Been to see and inspect the engine today. The guy is talking out his ass. Flywheel is fine. It was fine before I drove it to my garage to get he engine out. No hot spots at all on it either. The crank had dropped 1 con rod with slight scoring. Could possibly be re-ground but just as easy to replace crank. I'll post pics shortly.

Just waiting on prices for parts to weigh up my options.

Hi guys. Posted before about my engine being starved of oil and knocked the crank out of it. Anyway I have managed to remove the engine and sent it off to the engine rebuilders. Bad news. It needs the following. Flywheel Crank shaft 1x Con rod Oil pump Mains big end bearings Full gasket set Rings Head bolts I already have a member of the forum looking into it but my engine builder struggling to get parts. He said he can get Acl race bearings but struggling for the rest. Waiting on main dealer but will be to much. Any advice or contacts. My main parts are the flywheel and crank shaft. Many thanks

Hi Guys Had My nissan for about 8 months now. Love it! Tbh i hardly use it. Saturday i started to hear a right racket from the engine so i pulled over and listend. Was bottom end and sounded like crank! Checked the oil and it was bone dry!!!! it had an oil service in febuary by nissan! So i walked to halfords which was literally around the corner and put 4litres of oil in sounded abit better but still really noisey! Dropped car to my local mechanic and said its crank but hasnt dropped the sump and had a look yet! what are the chances of further damage? would it be easier to source a new engine or do the crank? thanks in advance! ant

I love my nissan. I had a burnt orange 350z.. Loved it, sold it and hot an M3 e46 convertible SMG. Bloody hated it. Work picked up do I brought a le-mans blue 370z and I love it. I'm 29,no kids,so the fuel bill doesn't bother me. The car gets do much attention as people don't know what it us due to its rarity. Some mistake it for a 350z but I'm quick to put them right. Looked at a porsche on my 20k budget, but a lot of money for an older car. Glad I chose the nissan. My friend has a GTR to which this will be my next motor. I've drove a porsche and the GTR. If your wanting a 3hr long trip to the coast then it's the porsche but if you wanting shear power and a smile you will choose the GTR. It's do rewarding in sooo many ways. Nissan really have set the bar with the GTR. each to there own though :-)

Yes mate its got a nice deep sound. I've just ordered the decat pipes so no doubt it will sound completely different. The 5" pipes look nice aswell. I'll post a pic. Ant

I guys had my Le man's 370z for a couple of months now. Just fitted a full cobra exhaust system with 5" tail pipes. Must say I was impressed with value for money. Also I have installed the Stillen intakes. I'm now looking to get the Up-rev remap. What gains would I be looking to achieve? Also is there anyone local in the West Midlands Thanks Anthony

Mine should be with me on the 8th may. I've ordered the full system with decat pipes. I'll post results next week.

hey guys I've been and brought a nice 350z in sunset red, full gt spec but hasn't no sat nav. iI have currently modded my cubby and installed a 7" tablet but would like the oem look. I've searched the net high and low for the oem sat nav cubby but had no luck. my z is a 53 plate. any help would be very much appreciated. thanks.

Hey guys, Just a post to say hello and introduce myself on the forum. i have just purchased my first 350Z in burnt orange GT. I have come from an Audi TT 225 Convertible and im sooo glad i made the change. Really impressed with the nissan. ill be looking on the forums to see what the best mods available oh also my names anthony and im 28 years old and im a roofer, with my own roofing business. looking forward to meeting some of you!
