Exhaust fitted today. When I push that button and those valves open up...... F#@k me! It sounds unreal! Can't describe it! Will post a video tomorrow. Only word us "EPIC" LOL.

So £928 later and the car has had a new oil cooler, spark plugs, oil change, coolant change, gearbox oil, oil filter, pollen filter. Now I have piece of mind lol

Never got tired of watching that advert. Always brought a smile to my face, even more so now! Lol. Exhaust is going to sound unreal. Especially when the valves are opened!

Took no chances on this one. It's in tomorrow now the seals have finally arrived. Having new oil cooler and seals, oil filter, oil change, new spark plugs, coolant flush, and new gearbox oil. Then Friday the exhaust is going on it which I'm. Excited to hear lol

Tbh I keep popping my head out the window to look at it. Such a beautiful looking car. I never thought when I first seen an r8 I'd ever get to drive one let alone own one lol. Hard work pays off. Misses gave me the unrealistic ultimatum the other night. She said "if you had to choose between me or that bloody car who would you choose?" I genuinely paused and had to think. Literally because it's an r8 the parts are over priced as well as the labour from the so called technicians. Armytrix wanted 6k to supply and fit a valve controlled exhaust. Mega priced. I've gone with a company called "topgear" who offer the exact same exhaust with remote valve controlled. To r8 forum members they offer it for £1300. It's got so good reviews and now all the yanks are ordering them as they are made here in the UK. How can they justify a 5k difference for an exhaust. Ridiculous! Hi guys Found one today. Local garage that gave dealt in loads. They actually had 2 in when I went. They did say, tbh not much goes wrong on these motors. Most common was oil, cooler and mag ride suspension. Good to know they are a pretty reliable motor. Parked up in town earlier, came back to find a group of kids having their pictures took by it lol 😂🙈 the one kid asked if he could sit in it. I said knock yourself out kiddo lol. Well that was an eventful afternoon. First thing the rep said after inspection was they could not get under the hood due to the bonnet lever being broke(which I did) easy fix. He then went onto saying the oil was very low and needs immediate attention. I laughed at him. I said how did your mechanic come to that conclusion? You've just told me you couldn't get to the engine? Also I checked the oil yesterday and it was full and at the correct levels. My mate works at worcester audi and their master technician does weekend jobs in his home garage for a 3rd of the price, then takes service book into audi and stamps it lol. So it's all in hand once I get it back after dropping it off tomorrow! Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

Has a nice feature which is a paid factory extra. The engine bay led lights which light up the entire engine bay. There is a switch which is timed. You push it and lock the car and the engine and front drls light up for 2mins so ppl can see the engine. Pretty kool tbh lol Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

Took some pics today. Must say I really enjoyed polishing it. Unfortunately it's going back to the garage today. It's got a small drip of oil which I noticed once I pulled it out of the garage. It's minor but garage are going to inspect tomorrow. They are also giving it a full mot as it runs out mid Jan. It's going to be dry all day tomorrow so I'm going to give it a winter wax coat and a good valet. The armytrix exhaust has a button to open and close the valves so you can have stock sound, and at the click of a button an unbelievable F1 sound. Once fitted I'll probably cream my pants whilst driving it. The r8 was my dream car and I vowed to have one before I was 30 lol.🙈

Only way I'd get rid would be for a v10. Maybe next year 😂🙈
