  1. If they had given you 15k and sold it for 17k you would be 2k better off but still feeling like you do now. Its just the nature of the way people are.

The deal worked for you so dont worry beyond that. Enjoy the new car

No I just like shining things.

Trying to fit a new exhaust at the moment and all but two bolts came off straight away. It appears the last two are made of Kryptonite and even superman would not touch them.

Get some heat on them mate

  3. Rather than just looking for available jobs you can always try contacting companies you might want to work for and enquire if they have any positions that you might be suitable for.

Your CV is as much about your USP as your qualifications.

Many companies have positions that come up that never get advertised as they go to friends of people that work there as it saves on advertising or agency costs.

Its common to ask good members of staff if they know anyone who wants a job as they hope they will be as good as them.

You contacting them may just get you an interview and a chance to shine as its cost them nothing and you will have shown how proactive you are.

Just a few points to consider. Hope it helps.

  4. Ok guys and girls just a post  to see what people are thinking about the new look forum.

I`m not writing this to knock the new look and i understand the forum had to make changes I`m just interested what other people think.

I have found that i use the forum less since the new look and dont feel it flows as well for me so just wondered what others think.

If they are not using it much they might not even read this .

So guys and girls what are your thoughts, is it just a case of using it more to get used to it or am i missing something about how it all gels together.

    Any answers appreciated .

  5. I was insured through one of the companies associated with this forum but to be honest the renewal was higher than than i thought it should be.

Also due to having company vehicle`s for many years i am still building up my no claims so all the excuses that all insurance premiums have gone up 10% sir seemed a bit limp to me when i had just gained another years no claims bonus.

So I headed over to Direct line and yep the online quote doesn't allow any mods to be added so rang them and explained about my exhaust and rear parking sensors and hey-ho saved a £100.

Well happy and worth shopping around :teeth:

  6. I`ve worked a fair bit with re-newable`s in the heating industry and we had a range of air source heat pumps from Austria.

One of the settings within the controls was to program for an off period of electricity.

This was for use in countries where the electricity goes off at certain times throughout the day/night to stop the unit from expecting to turn on and not be able to which would evoke a fault code.

Just thinking that they could organise charging points to work at certain times to spread the load around the grid and at different times to ease the burden on the supply.

  7. Bare in mind that classic insurance usually gives you full no claims bonus right from the start but its not transferable onto a modern vehicle.

This means if you have a classic for a few years you could lose any no claims bonus you have right now. Might be worth not having it on a classic policy if possible unless you have another car insured in your name.

I`ve had a few classics in my time as my only vehicle so it was expensive when i got a normal vehicle and had to start off without any no claims bonus.
