  1. I cant believe this thread is still going strong but as it is just a couple of points to consider

1/ If Europe/ the EU is so great then why do people want to come to Britain, why cant they go to another country in the EU and have such a great time.

2/ Do you think that the main party`s would be concerned that if a second referendum was held and the result overturned then there could be a massive swing towards support for UKIP

Just interested in views on either point.

  3. We joined the EU nearly sixty years ago, so rhetorically no of course not (although at the time it was seen by the majority as a good thing as the UK was not performing well), but then again did you vote for us having two main competing political parties, did you vote for VAT to increase to 20%, did you vote for Wembley twin towers to be knocked down? You can't vote on everything, you vote in a party that you believe will best represent your views and needs.

What punishments are you referring to as to remaining in the EU?

They don`t represent you mate, they Govern you in the way they see fit. As that is the system we have you just have to get on with it..

  4. With where we are now and the vote, this is my fear, if we stay, the eu isnt even going to grease up before penetration, quite literally, we will be proper f*****d in any future negotiations.

Best thing i`ve read about it mate... classic

  5. As far as i`m concerned the main reason to leave is simple.

Whichever government we have in power they always manage to hide behind the EU for things that happen in this country.

Lets leave and then we can hold them accountable for things that happen if we don`t like it. They will have no one to hide behind.

Immigration aside, what things do you mean?

Quite simply i feel that whoever runs our country should be accountable and not be able to hide behind rules and regs laid down by others (the EU) when it suits them.

A government voted in by us should be directly responsible for what happens in our country and if we don`t like what they do we have a right to vote them out. Faced with this they may try a bit harder to get it right as they will have no one else to blame.

As they say..... it`s all bolocktics

  7. If the deals are really cheap might be worth calling them and finding out how old the tyres are. Some can be up to 2 years old before you have them fitted which might be ok for now but not if they bring the five year rule into the mot. ( unless you always wear them out in a couple of years)

    Just a thought that`s all

  8. People coming to the UK is just one issue that seems to make the headlines but as i said before its not the fact they come its just not knowing how many might come.

If you dont know how many will come, how can you plan your resources.

Some issue needs to be there to be blamed or used as an excuse for everything we feel we are missing out on and at the moment its people coming into this country.

If we control the numbers and the services and infrastructure still cant cope what will we blame then.....oh yeah... the government of the day so it suits them to keep us in the EU.

    Convenient distraction i guess.
