  1. hmm this FK100p stuff looks like just the ticket, any tops, tricks for application? Also any preference on environment to apply, obviously warm days are rare at the moment....
  2. Make sure car is clean before use or it can cause swells in the paint See thats what I mean - The cover will be just chucked over each day when I get back from the office, and I really cant see me titting about with it in a suit on a freezing winters night...... hmm think I just answered my question there!
  3. Its a fair point you make for the fitted cover, just really worried about a stone getting caught in it, as it will be put on and off daily. Any precautions I can take?
  4. I just have this fear of having a stone caught in the cover (all gravel drive) and scratching the shiznitch out of the car
  5. recommend any particular brand?
  6. This stuff is pretty firmly embedded - will a bit of clay be able to get at this?
  7. 3rd topic this morning! I have no garage (yet) and live on a farm so pretty exposed to weather and plenty of dust and crap, I wanted to park the Zed. I was looking at a cheap solution to protect the car until my landlord finishes the garage. I thought about using a large gazebo - something like 3m x 6m, I can secure one side to my house and the rest weighted down, all this for about £55. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120967919958?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Before I bought it wanted to ask, has anyone else done this, so could pass on some wisdom, or anyone got a temporary/pop-up garage for sale?
  8. No its not what you thought, no skantly dressed skank draped over the front of the car - I have a bit of skank that seems to not want to come off on the front bumper, when running hand over it you can feel it, I think its just flick up from the road - but has anyone got any recommendation to give this a good clean and get this grime off?
  9. Haywards Heath, jsut saw previous posts, and thought you were local - seems to be a good contingent of us ZedHeds in the sussex Surrey area, enough for a meet?
  10. you know its coming! glrnet - are you sussex based?
  11. Just wanted to share an experience of a product which I think is the nuts. After a normal wash down of the car, I let it air dry then used a product called "Showroom Shine" by Greased Lightening. The product comes in a large spray bottle and 2 microfibre cloths, you spray the product sparingly all over the car, glass and all, then rub all over with one cloth, then follow yourself around the car with the second cloth and buff it off. I'm sure there are a tonne of these sprays out there, but seriously impressed with this. Also they give you the sell that it leaves a protective barrier and all that junk, well, its no bull, a 130mile round motorway trip, followed by a nightfall of rain, car still gleaming! Used 4 times now (1litre supposed to do 10 'washes') and easy, quick and great to use. At about 15 squids, I think its a pretty good product - just wanted to share (Before the "This Post is worthless without pics" gif appears, I will post once I do my next wash - next weekend )
  12. I actually purchased a rechargeable silicone cushion thing. Really works well and once it becomes saturated you just put it in the microwave and steam the moisture out of it. I would definitely recommend this over anything else!! Like this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PINGI-450G-XL-RECHARGEABLE-DEHUMIDIFIER-MOISTURE-DAMP-BAGS-CARAVANS-CARS-BOATS-/321022810594?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Hearing_Cooling_Air&hash=item4abe7359e2 I have this problem with my Zed, and need to find a fix, as its driving me nuts, and my boss nuts, as I'm always late Havent told him I always take the scenic route, because its more fun though
  13. Ahh anoth Zed owner in Haywards Heath - I'm out in the sticks but within 5 mins of town! Seems we have a few others in the area!
  14. Pretty much unmodded.... for now Not a petrol head so will need advice and recommendation when completing work.
  15. Hi All, Felt a bit bad that I had been already abusing the help and assistance of you guys without first introducing myself. My names Oli, live in West Sussex. Just scrapped the Freelander to go get a bit of fun, so settled on a sweet lil '04 350z - absolutely chuffed to bits, had it for a month and still making me grin like a loon! Stupidly I live on a farm, so not the most practical of cars, so I suspect I will frequently be on here asking about damage to the underside of the card and suspension! I work in IT, and am a web developer, always happy to help out where my skills lie, but I will profess, I am no petrol head so please bear with me! Thanks to all those that have already helped, look forward to helping out where I can!
  16. Sweet thanks peeps - will be out in the cold in a minute to install my 4p fix :-)
  17. Reaching out to you guys - didn't know if its normal - just bought an '04 350z (lovin' it!). I've noticed that i have to press the bit release twice, 1st one 'pop's it the second releases it. Any suggestions? Also, noticed on cold dqya the boot rams don't hold all that well - related?
  18. Hi Guys, Just realized the ashtray in the center console has broken hinges. Its a '04 350z - anyone happen to have one for sale? Thanks
  19. FYI - I called my local dealer and they wanted £82 for one, which is better than those currently running on £92+postage - just might be worth a call.....
  20. Hey Guys, Just got the 350Z 2004, need the bluetooth adapter. Anyone on here got one for sale please? Nissan want £82.50 for one off their shelf.......
