Interesting trip to Nissan Oxford today to service my 2019 370 Nismo which I’ve had 8 months. Before I say anything else they did a good job and the car is currently under a Nissan warranty.

Guess what - they found the shipping  suspension spacers on all 4 corners and duly removed them.

The car was originally sold and serviced 3 times at a Nismo dealer. I then bought it from a Nismo dealer on the south coast last August. How does that happen - questions the thoroughness of the servicing and pre sales inspections 🤔.

I always thought the ride was a bit crashy but put it down to it being a Nismo.

Funnily enough the journey home was much more comfortable. Far more compliant now…

There’s a simple answer. Main dealers know very little about cars, they are just scripted to sell them. Straight forward out the box sales people. You know far more about the car than they do normally. Glad you got the car sorted as it should have been for the first owner..

Im surprised by that,i thought the 350 would be more of the tourer and the 370 more agressive because of the higher power hehe. But then again, ive never driven a 370. How do you mean more 'engaging' to drive?

Much more driver involvement in a 350Z and a rawer experience. More spirited to drive I would say imho . It’s only my view of the experience. Like I say I had a 370 mark 2 Nismo and loved it BUT it’s a very different experience driving a 370 to a 350. If you want a real blast and have a true spirited engaging car to have fun in the 350Z is the winner. As others have said drive a 370Z and you may agree or disagree with my views..My two below back in the day..

  4. I went from a 350Z DE to a mark 2 Nismo both well documented on here. Completely different cars to drive imho. 350Z is much more engaging to drive , 370Z more if a tourer.. Both great cars but they don’t compare. I then went from the Nismo to a 1970 Datsun SSS coupe. Now that’s a different level entirely…

  5. I will throw my hat in here for what it’s worth. I consider myself to be a very reasonable guy on many levels. To be honest it’s your place of residence as much as it is anyone else in your close and you are entitled to do whatever you want within the law. Unless you are breaking the decibel law outside of the hours of the law you can do what the hell you want. I have met you and you are clearly a decent guy and have shown plenty of consideration here so credit to you. If you ate starting it and driving off in the morning I would say let him moan all he likes or better still he can move. I wouldn’t be parking my car anywhere I wouldn’t want to or entitled to so do your own thing and enjoy the great car you own..

  6. In my experience you don’t get tyre kickers on car and classic. My car went to the first caller from the USA . I know a few friends who sold through car and classic and their view is you get a different calibre of person. It’s free too so happy days. Mine sold inside 3 weeks.

  7. Sorry to hear of your wife’s health. Lovely TR . Good luck with the sale. Assume it’s going on car and classic. Free to advertise and that’s where I sold the Datsun SSS.
