So after messing up last night, and splicing into the wrong cable, got it working tonight! Hurrah!

A bit intermittent at first but once tidied up and secure in place it was fine did have a problem where the switch worked the opposite way round but the auto was fine - so I just switched the grey and white pins around in the module plug. All good now!

There are differences in some of the wire colours on the HR, but if you use cookbots guide and use the same pin locations in the plugs it's fine.

Hi, just to say finally got mine working today, its only been like 6 months or something! It was only my third attempt though. The only wire I couldn't check without removing the door panel was the one behind the speaker and that's where the issue was.

 

If it helps anyone else trouble shoot: after the first install my mirror open and close switch reversed but the auto fold didn't do anything, so I just left it as it was too cold to mess around.

 

The next attempt I just re-checked the connections that I could get at through the arm rest, this was all of them bar the splice behind the speaker. After this attempt the open and close was still reversed and the auto fold still didn't work. I did however notice that I could hear the auto fold black box clicking when the auto fold function should have kicked in. So it just looked like the signal just wasn't getting to the mirrors.

 

This time I had the door panel off for some other work so I thought I'd check the connection behind the speaker and after clamping down the splice a bit harder, it now works fine, the open close button is still reversed but that doesn't have any real impact on use. After re-checking the connection I did make sure that the wire wasn't touching the magnet on the back of the speaker, but don't think this would have interfered the signal anyway.

I had this problem, just swap the open and close pins in the plug

So whats the difference between the Y pipes for imports and standard, noticed you've added DE

There are three different engine types for the 350. DE, RevUp or HR.

 

Yours being an import will be DE engined, not sure if there are any differences in the Y pipe but the cats/decats change between the DE and HR.

Yeah just the exhaust manifold and cats that are different for the HR, the y-pipe fits all 350's

Just this Sunday I topped out in my HR, electronically limited at 160, the needle was half way between 160 & 165.

I was in 5th and I was quite a shock when I reached the limiter, I thought something had gone wrong it was that noticable. Then looked down and realised that must be it.

Decided to head into Central, well that was a bad idea! Traffic through shoreditch was hell! But once through I decided to keep the trip short and just did something I have always wanted to do...

Not very exciting but drove over tower bridge then London bridge 3 times (took a wrong turn).

Was pretty cool then heading west on upper themes street I came across the tunnel and there was no traffic at all! Like a dream haha Epic sounding tunnel! Then just headed back home past St Pancras Kings Cross, onto the A1 past some HUGE houses, north circular for about 1km then staying on the A1 to take me to the M1.

All in all a nice 2 hour detour seeing the city from a side i have not seen before.

Cheers! Just to save confusion, when I say I haven't been further south than Hornsey I mean within the M25 haha. Kent is nice county have driven through it a few times, plan to see some different places within the Orbital so I'll try Enfield etc and see where I end up. I wouldn't mind kings road, just to see the super cars of course!

Anyone from in or around London recommend any good places to drive?

I very rarely drive to work in Hornsey and seeing as it's Sunday I thought I'd take a drive around, probably further central, when I finish in the evening.

I'm in London quite a lot but have never driven further south than Hornsey.

Any location, tunnel, road suggestions welcome...
