  1. You can do either and it will work. However due to the post cat lambda sensors picking up the fact that the cats aren't working (as they're not there), a DTC code will come up which will switch the MIL on on the dash if you don't use these items, or get the code switched off during a remap session.
  2. I'm selling my decats after only having them fitted for a couple of days - bit loud for me. They have done 230 miles, so are obviously in like new condition, with some minor coking from light use. £60 posted. Or £80 posted with zmanalex's O2 simulator's, which stops the MIL lighting on the dash due to a cat threshold DTC code. I also have one rear 2006 on LED tail light. This works fine, however has a crack in it, as can be seen in the photos. This may be fixable by someone, maybe using the plastic outer skin from an old tail light and fitting in place of the cracked one on this? £30 posted. Pickup is also possible from Braintree or Basildon, Essex. Cheers, Craig.
  3. Can anyone recommend improved sump options (whether baffled and/or increased volume, and any other systems) to help prevent oil surge during high G's on track etc? Would be good to see what people are running and how they find them? And maybe a guide on the price. Thanks, Craig.
  4. Boofsquire, custom made thing, expensive and not available anymore. Saris Bones, works a treat, available anywhere.
  5. Saris Bones works well. Available all over the UK. Two feet on the boot and two on the number plate recess. I'm going to test it out with two DH bikes on there in a few weeks time! EDIT: just realised that the post above shows what I've just suggested. Only changes I'd recommend to the setup above is to angle the bike holding legs up and over the car a touch more, in order to spread more of the load onto the boot lid rather then the bumper, and also to attach the 5th and 6th straps to the towing eye rather than the bottom of the boot lid. Works a treat!
  6. I went there in my S2000 a couple of years ago, can't recommend it enough. Will definitely be going next year in the Zed. Youtube HD video here in S2000:
  7. Looking good (and sounding I assume)! I'll thank Chris (Tarmac) here also, I brought my Gemini back from the US a few weeks ago and it was bought through him, I fitted it last night (on axle stands in the dark, outside!), and I'm very happy - looks and sounds lovely. My cats are looking pretty horrible and rusty, so as soon as they are shot I'll be getting some HFC's also. I've done about 70miles so far, approx how long does the system take to coke up and bed in? Craig.
  8. I'd be interested in what this fix was! My fans have stopped working and I suspect one of the motors Rebuilt both motors last night, now they both work a treat! £710 saved!! (one worked when tapped, and the other never did anything).
  9. I'd be interested in what this fix was! My fans have stopped working and I suspect one of the motors
  10. Why thankyou. I think it is number 56 off the top of my head. However without checking my plaque again I'm not 100%.
  11. Hi Craig so there is another yellow one close to me I'm in Braintree so hope to see you around
  12. A few photos since getting the wheels refurbed in dark anthracite.
  13. That poo poo'd on my theory! Interesting.
  14. AC compressor most probably. Try shutting your engine off with AC switched off. Mine rattles when its on, so does a friend of mines Zed.
  15. I'm checking this out at the weekend, looks like a potential bargain. The gt4 only came in kuro and yellow, guessing this has been resprayed? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p This looks strange. Ok, fair enough it states its been wrapped in white, so there should be either Kuro Black or Ultra Yellow paint underneath. But how would you know what sort of condition the paint underneath is in? Also, no GT4's came with Alezan interior afaik. This must have been added also, including the steering wheel etc. I smell a rat here generally!
  16. Thanks guys. As it happens, a mate of mine at work has an Invidia Gemini on his 350z. Went out in it earlier, fits the bill nicely.
  17. Hi, I am out in Michigan in a few weeks time and have the opportunity to ship an exhaust back with me. At the moment mine is stock, but I'm after a cat back system. If you guys could suggest some that are particularly cheaper to buy in the US which tick the following boxes, that'd be much appreciated! Fairly loud @ all engine speeds and loads, but the less motorway cruise drone the better; Rolled stainless steel tips, not keen on the ti coloured tips or slash cut or any of that; Don't mind whether its true dual or not, as long as the above attributes fit. Thats it really.... I've searched and searched and my heads spinning with options, so I need your help please! Craig.
  18. Hi! I have also just bought a GT4 and work in Basildon, live near Braintree. Lived in Basildon for a few years though. If you see an UY GT4 in the area, it'll most likely be me! I'll give you a wave.
  19. Thanks everyone. Really enjoying her, done approximately 600 miles since I got it 9 days ago. So far the only teething issues have been the common clicky rear axles (which I will sort soon) and the Bose CD player skips a couple of times when I first turn it on. Standard stuff then!!
