  1. It was fine after leaving work, but after a few miles its returned :( biting point is about half way tbh, but its not as loud now?

My spacers and springs arrived earlier so I was too jolly to pay much more attention than that lol

  2. nope... FWD only..

So instead of it being an utter;ly epic machine, it's another FWD scrabble wagon.

What's the point in going to all that effort (and it does look very good from here) if you're left with something that's hideously under-engineered to actually put the power to the floor?

Originally he wanted to beat pug1offs 406bhp gti6, so at those powers, traction isn't a 'huge' issue, but as time went on, goals changed.

I can appreciate what ur saying but look at the 9second civics in the states, or malta... The UK is very behind in the fwd department, and I personally like to see the boundaries pushed!

Give it time and I'm sure it will end up 4wd anyway, its had every pug engine going, so I don't see why it wouldn't

  3. nope... FWD only..

No-go in the wet, but hes got some gear driven boost controller gadget thing, which he recons should help put the power down!

Fresh set of slicks went on yesterday and hes down to Mallory on saturday!

It does have road wheels with 225's, cant remember which they were, but they lasted about a week before this boost controller went on!

  4. As were all petrol heads, hope you can all appreciate the work thats gone into this...

Its a 2.3 stroker, with a GT3572,eibach springs on bilstein shocks, rose jointed everything, 330mm disks with evo8 calipers under 15inch wheels, done ALL the work himself apart from the mapping, and it made 608bhp

Mental is not the word with this one!!!

Shes a 53' with GT Pack, and absoloutly LOVE it!

Apexi Y piece exhaust and backbox

    Plenum spacer

    UpRev remap

running 255bhp @ wheels (290bhp at the fly)

I have ordered some Eibach pro-kit springs and 20mm front/25mm rear spacers which should be on this weekend....

I didnt plan on doing anything to this car, but as it was already modded.... it would have been rude to only do half a job!

Few plans over the summer but for now, she'll get driven, then well see what winter brings!

  6. Do you notice the revs increase but not much speed increase when you give it some in 5th gear? could be a clutch issue, release bearing is dry. You should check the clutch is not slipping.

where is the biting point on the clutch pedal?

ill have a look at that tomorrow on my run to work

Thanks for the input guys, real friendly place you got going on here :band:

  7. Ive just took it out again, tried holding the little led bit down when up in the revs, and still ticking away?

It sounds similar to an injector tick, but from inside the cabin?

also wouldnt explain the strange whirring?

its doing my nut in! :(

    Thanks anyway though mate!

  8. Thanks, the noise goes once the clutch is dipped?

It's a 53 plate...72k.... exhaust, plenum spacer and uprev map....

Sounds like its coming from the back of the dash/engine bay, doesn't get louder with the windows open though...

    Thanks

  9. Alrite guys, I've had the zed 10 days now and all was well.... But I've just bin out for a lil trip and noticed a strange ticking over 4k revs?

Then I also noticed a slight whirring\rubbing sound while its ticking? Below these revs its silent

Oil pressure carts from about 30psi to about 70psi when accelerating?

Any ideas? Luckily I've got warranty if I need!

  10. Thanks for the feedback guys! Just taken the plunge and ordered some Eibach 20mm and 25mm spacers coupled with some pro-kit eibach springs! Should be fitted this weekend! Can not wait!

so much for keeping this car standard!!! :bang:

  11. Sweet, cheers guys! Yea I've informed them! Really wanted to keep this car standard, but as it already was standard, thought it would be rude not to order some eibach springs and 25mm spacers! I can see a very slippery slope ahead!

  12. Hi folks, im still relatively new to this zed game and was just wondering what sort of power I should be expecting?

    I bought the car thinking it was standard, but have discovered the following mods;

    Plenum spacer

    Apexi exhaust

UpRev remap done at Abbey Motorsport

What sort of power would be expected with these? I plan on getting to a RR but curiosity is getting the better of me!

  13. Thanks for the welcomes guys!

only got these 2 pics atm, only picked her up yesterday, but ive not had time to stop grinning and take pics!

Plans are to De-tango the headlights, smoke the sidelights, tint the rear windows and get the wheels sprayed, but after that, im just gonna enjoy it..... till the fun can really begin! Still getting used to the RWD power! (not my first rwd, but its not exactly a 1.8 cvh sierra!)

Any help will be most appreciated :D
