  1. What's the gap on the other side of the lights like? It's possible that a previous owner or garage had the lamp out to change bulbs or a ballast because they aren't easy to line up perfectly again when refitting.:bangin:

    pics of full lights..

  2. Good People of the Forum.. :D

Do 313 Bonnets sit slightly to the left, so that the join between lowest downward part of the bonet (see image with red lines  ) and left headlamp is tight around 3mil and contrast that the gap on the lowest downward right headlamp side is wider about 8mil (see image with green lines ).. Please help, I am searching for 313's and even when HPI clear this makes me think avoid.. avoid..bumped at some point :bang:

Am I wrong, can the stut on a 313 or something make them sit like this.. :):) Once again, Thanks :bangin::bangin:

  3. The corrosion warranty is 12 years, something like 3 for paint. I'm currently waiting on hearing back from Nissan UK HQ for bonnet bubbling after the local dealer taking photo's to see off. There are a few bits on the roof too but they look suspiciously like chips to me so to holding my breath on it.

good luck, and thanks for the clarrification. Is the corrosion warranty affected if you have a respray?

I have no idea of the effect of a respray on the warranty. I guess if the paint used was on equal or higher quality to that which Nissan use there MAY not be a problem, as the warranty is only valid for corrosion from the inside out.

    fair enough, :) cheers Kyle..

  4. .. I think i would be better getting a mint/forum loved stock/few mods 313 and getting it PIMPED

This should be interesting ......what we thinking ? Hydraulic dancing suspension and some spinners on the wheels? :snack:

:lol: Rims spinnin! No :) Just a nismo kit and exhaust maybe an abbey remap..

I am reluctant to go for this one as its just not been looked after... if its like that on the outside, what love has been applied to under the bonnet. It does have  excellent service history, 13k miles on clock , mint interior  but the 5th felt wrong, the v1 bumper needed a respray..about 150 stone chips on it and bonnet when up close. Dont think it would need flicking in (it may do).. But it would age differently thats for sure... The passanger wing has already had a respray.. garden furniture damage. The grill was lose behind the V1 bumper was lose, the passanger nismo skirt lose, the v1 bumper about 10 mil out of place near side front lamp.. the kick plate and drivers handle battered with scratches, and the mud guard betwee the nismo v1 bumper and drivers wheel was torn lose and would need re applying, this was complemented with a large scuff which appears to be the result of bad parking... All wheels needed a refurb to.:thumbdown:

So I would be paying for a Nismo kit thats not actually mint.. So would rather get a low mileage, 313 engine (thats the main thing for me) base car a loved one from the forum and then mod it properly at recomended places over time..

  6. You should expect a few stone chips / scratches, especially if the car has been a daily drive.

Anything like a respray or mechanical problems and you should be looking elsewhere IMHO. There are plenty of nice cars around and you can always put a kit on at a later date.... More expensive, but probably cheaper than anything gearbox related.

1st this forum is addictive.. 2nd Agreed, I would expect some stone chips, but genuine 150+, when you really look. The right bumper scraped, out of line to head lamp, damage behine the bumper on the mud guard/skirt, torn away from bumper, and the two front wheels looked about 12 years old.. It just has not been loved... The facory nismo v1 looked awesome.. It made me fall in love, but after driving headphones last night I think there was also a problem with the 5th gear. I initially thought it was me, but I could drive Headphones smooth as silk.. That is unless the transmissions are different in 313s. I need to think with head.. I think i would be better getting a mint/forum loved stock/few mods 313 and getting it PIMPED  later... :bounce:

pics... ps I stil am in love with it.. just will get a base model and love it more and mod it to my tastes..

  7. A car that's been repaired/resprayed and you can't get it in 5th on a 2007+ car? I'd steer clear, sounds like it may have been worse than just "bad parking"! There's plenty around, keep looking for a good example.

Agreed, may all be genuine.. but just does not sit right.. there are 1 or 2 other irons in the fire :)

  8. Hi, :teeth:

I am about to have an inspection by AA on a 313 factory Nismo (deposit down). I could not get it in 5th gear. there is a respray and repair reuired to scrape (bad parking) :scare: and slight re-positioning of the front bumper. I have since drove a cpl other cars and nailed 5th no probs. so it may come back as some tran issues :headhurt: . The wheels need a full refurb. 13k on the clock, but it could have been better lucked after.

It may come back as not origional parts.. If it does I am still on the hunt.

So does anyone have a lovely, mint 313 for sale, it just has to be a GT, nismo is just a bonus. I have some £ (but a budget).

If there are any traders on autotrader/pheads you know I should avoid. :ban: let me know. :)

    I really want one :bounce::teeth:

  9.

Can't agree more, I did the Performance driver course (http://www.catdrivertraining.co.uk/inde ... l-day.html) with Colin

If you're not sure about spending the £1k on a course do a trial day on the Gymkhana day http://www.catdrivertraining.co.uk/inde ... khana.html

Honestly, can't recommend the guys enough, I would do the gymkhana again in a heart beat :)

This is a leading contender, will send requests later and see if any deals can be offered to forum members. :drive1 lets hope so...

  10. Hello, :D

    1) Can some1 confirm if the 350z has a paint warranty is 13 years or is it Body quaility and corrosion that is 13 years.

    1) If you get a respray 1 or more panels how does that affect the warranty.

    2) If you get a respray can you ensure that the warranty is not affected or does it null and void it? :boxing:

    3) Is rust covered under the warranty?

    Cheers All... :)

  11. I've found , more than any other car I've driven, it needs 'proper' gear changing, as I was taught all those years ago when I learnt to drive. You don't hold/grip the gear knob, you just push or pull with palm (fingers for 3 to 4) so for 5th you should push with your palm at about 7-8 o'clock on the knob, that way it can only go into 5th, not jam on the gate between 3 and 5. for 6th you'd put pressure on the knob at about 10-11 o'clock. Make sense? Easier to do than explain! But if you're 'holding' the lever it's easier to catch the gate.

that does make sense, i was holding it.. I am certain it was me, a couple of test drives and another drive of this will verify.. i will also get a couple of the guys in the actual garage bit (one a 350z former owner) to take it out.. they were all sound guys...

  12. You shouldnt be getting any issues with 5th, go back explain your worries and sort the issue out before you buy. Without driving put it through its gears for a few times until your happy and have another test drive. You should be able to slip thorough to the 5th with no issues, if anything first to second is normally the clunky one. Best of luck and stick a few pics up if you sort it out and buy it.

I have put a deposit down, they have removed from sale, its all fully refundable. I will go back and drive again. i literally met everyone who worked there, all complete petrol heads so I will also get the mechanics to take it out and see what they think...

I am in love: see pics
