  1. Selling my 370Z GT as I just don't use it anymore - £14'000

I've had the car for 3 years, used it lovingly but due to a BMW company car, wife's car and getting older, I just don't have the time to put into it anymore and someone else will certainly enjoy it.

The car is looked after well, inside is in superb condition and outside is very good. The body work is good, there is one small nick in the bonnet from a stone but is hard to find unless pointed out. The car is kept off the public road on a drive way.

    • Manual gearbox
    • 35'187 miles on the clock
    • MOT until September 2016
    • Full Motorline service history up until this year where it was minor serviced at Kiazer motor sport
    • New rear tyres fitted this year, geometry also refreshed
    • GT car with OEM Bose stereo and sat nav
    • Books, receipts, Nissan wallets, 2 keys, loads of all the things you'd be interested in seeing.

    The car has two modifications done to it;

    • ARK GriP exhaust system
    • Stillen gen 3 intakes

The OEM parts I still have and are included in the sale.

I have tracked the car 4 times, each time sensibly and cared for prior and after.

Lots of pictures and updates regards the cars history here if anyone is interested and wants to know more.

If anyone has any further questions or would like to view please PM me on here and I'll give you a call, or vice versa.

Located in Essex, just off the J29 M25.

    Thanks,

    Nick

  2. Change the clutch fluid man, I had a clutch issue, changed the fluid first (it was black !!!), and it's gone away.

I track my car a fair bit, so I'm pretty sure high temps and enthusiastic driving will take its toll on the fluid.

  3. Dude, I just checked mine and the underside of my mats looks a lot different to yours, perhaps OEM ones are a certain thickness to fit the locking clips better.

Yours may be too thick and don't fully lock in.

Mine have never moved since I've had the car, in fact, it took quite a tug to get them off the peg.

  4. On my 2nd Xbox One now after having the first replaced by MS under warranty (disc reading error).

Currently my Kinect decides when it wants to turn on or not and for some reason my custom backgrounds keep disappearing from my console after a few weeks.

Apart from that, still very happy with it all, except the ever so slow and clunky UI, which is appalling. Like shocking.

  5. Wicked.

    Wing is banging, best bit.

    Get your video's up.

I bought the same GP mount and got a vid's a few trackdays at Brands, teh rear one if cool. Picked up an external mic to and it made all the difference.

Get more pictures of the rear wing up too :teeth: .

  6. That's surprising, I'd have thought it would be heavier than that. With you in as well?

No man, wet car with driver out - with me in it was 1596kg's.

I did think it would be more to be honest.

The car is as is too, BOSE sub, tools the lot. Spare change was removed though  .

The only weight removed/saved is from the ARK cat back and the Stillen Intakes over OEM parts.

Can't vouch for Brands' weight bridge though but you'd expect that to be near or close enough to the money.

  7. Something else, that I just remembered;

While we were at Brands I took the DATSUN to the weigh bridge.

Fully prepped and running, with no passengers and just over a half tank of fuel she came in at a rather healthy 1510kg's  .

Noise test with Stillen' s and ARK was 84db's too.

  8. Yeah, does not surprise me about MSV.

Ah, I wondered if that was you. I think Harv posted in the thread and mentioned you both and I thought, has to be :) Yes, seriously thinking about doing Brands GP if funds allow. It's expensive at £325 and I would like to do Silverstone GP again but would like to tick Brands GP off the list. Will be good to meet you.

    Yeah, that's us  .

Well, Brands is good fun and right on my doorstep so is the obvious local fun spot really.

The GP circuit is a bit of a unicorn really only being open a few times a year, then if it is open, you can't always guarantee that it will be with someone you fit in with.

GP circuit in August with the HOT/LOT - In.

  9. Appreciate the help here. I want to try and keep the car under 130 degrees whilst at Japfest this year. I will keep a note of the 2nd gear thing :)

You'll be shocked at how much easier it is to keep oil temps down by not shifting down unless you have too.

Another upside is how much quicker you'll be by staying in a higher gear, I'm still surprised by how well the 370 grips once it's settled in a bend.

  10. The MX5 was brilliant and I might do a couple more this year but going to probably stick with my DC5 and Honda's on Track/Lotus on Track for most events as they are brilliantly run with superb etiqutte. Seems like MSV promote different events but don't really care what turns up on the day.

Yeah, MSV just don't care what turns up really. I have to agree with that.

We did a road only track day last August, at Brands again, the cars either side of us in the garages were trailered. Again, MSV.

Yeah, I've been out with HOT a few times from back in my Honda days, in fact, I'm booked on with them for the Brands GP track day in August. Maybe see you there mate.

  11. To be fair this is always my fear when I'm booking time on track, so good on you for not letting it ruin your day

It wasn't really close to ruining my day, it's just that I've had so many great track days, this one stood out as the worst etiquette because of the other 'because racecar' drivers.

  12. I'm surprised at that, they're normally very strict. Sod them then, if thats their attitude.

Yeah, me too really, thats my 6th track day with them and the first where I've had an issue to be fair - but still.

The briefing was a bit of a joke too, very biased toward the race cars in terms of "come on now lads, lets keep it pleasant today, there's road cars here as well, lol"

This was the garage layout. Finishline are a driver experience company with a few MG ZR's MX5's etc..

  13. Did you speak to the organisers about it?

    Yeah man, twice.

I first mentioned it a few days before the event, when the email came through with the indemnity forms and garage layout, thats when it first became apparent that Finishline had 12 garages, Tom Chilton had a 700hp R35 and three other race teams were there too.

I said I was concerned about the amount of race cars etc...

I was reassured that there would be just as many road cars etc.. but there wasn't, it was a race car day with a few roads cars.

Asked to cancel and re-book, told no.

On the day, it was far from ideal but still enjoyable though.

Not said anything since it finished though. No point.
