  1. Airbag Resistors Guide http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/72971-seat-airbag-resistor/
  2. If you removing OEM seats and replacing them with after market ones with no airbags you will need to fit a resistor to stop air bag lights coming on! This is how I've done it... but you do it under you own responsibility You'll need to fit 1 resistor for each seat. You will need: Resistors (Qty 2) - 2.2ohm (not kOhm as it will be 2200ohm then) 1/4 watt (2.2ohm 0.25watt) 99p delivered for 10 http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1439.l2649 Scotch Lock Wire Connector (Qty 4) £2.99 for 25 of them delivered http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1439.l2649 Here's a basic diagram Feel free to ask me if you need anything Photoshopping Airbag connector(yellow) located and plugged under the seat with 2 wires going out of it. 2 ways of dong this: 1. Chop connector off and solder resistor between 2 wires (then you dont need scotch connectors) or 2. Solder resistor to 2 bits of wire and splice it into original airbag connector wires as shown on diagram. I went for the 2nd option, so i still have yellow connector attached. Right then What we need: Solder resistor in-between 2 wires ** Resistors have rings drawn on them - it just to tell what resistor it is (ohm/watt) so it doesnt matter which way you solder it to a wire ** Then i wrapped it all in electrical tape and put a heat shrink on top of it And then wrapped everything in elec.tape again Follow same steps to make another one for other seat. Now we ready to fit it. Disconnect battery and turn lights on/press brake pedal few times to drain any remaining electrical charges in the system (Please note, if you have electrical seat, you might want to move them in different position so it will be easier to remove them out of the car) Unbolt seat (4 bolts in each corner of the rails Lift seat slightly up - to get access to the bottom (don't pull too hard as you don't want to rip/damage wires) and disconnect all plugs and remove seat completely Get the resistor you made earlier and splice into yellow connector wires as shown in diagram above ^^ can use a bit less of wire... Jobs done! I also taped it all together and placed it under the carpet Repeat for other side! Just make sure that you don't connect battery/turn ignition on until resistors fitted, otherwise you will get air bag light which will need resetting (search for a guide on here) Hope i didn't confuse you too much
  3. My original plan was to weld a bar onto roll cage to use as a harness bar, but then decided against it! Lol And plan was to spray cage blue, but body shop quoted 170 to spray 3 pipes lol so I left it black, and quite like it black now as it matches the rest of interior
  4. No, u don't! You either get harness bar, roll cage or do what I did - weld reinforce plates onto rear strut bar And cage is bolt in, not weld in
  5. Lol here we go but as I said - ill make a guide:)
  6. I will create a guide later for resistors, took loads of pics etc
  7. or take it to the Zed Shed and it will be like brand new in 7hrs or 4hrs if you bring few less crispy kremes
  8. mmm very nice! how much?

Should be here veery soon! Cant wait! Thanks section Massive thanks to Adrian for helping me out with purchasing stuff, negotiating good deals and so on and so on! Thanks a lot, much appreciated! Big thanks to Bennett with help fitting the cage! And Adrian again - for taking photo evidence Also got few color coded bolts on the way for the engine bay - and that thanks to Ian for sorting it out while being busy with work and having bad times with Zed! Chubbs gets high five as well for being supportive and making me S/c install guide as he goes along (well, you best be ) Another massive thanks goes to Chris(Keyser) and Mark@Abbey for helping along and answering quite few questions along Thanks to Tarmac for offering help with sourcing bits and bobs! And of course all others who helped along with usefull info and tips   ^^ sounds llike im done and leaving forum or soething.... I'm not! All - be ready for more questions for me and non stop pestering
  10. well...here we go then! Had my rear lights sprayed tinted and tinted rear indicators(in the bumper) myself with a tint film BEFORE: AFTER: Then it was time for bigger changes Roll cage, new bucket seats and 4 point 3" harnesses Roll cage - i went for a Cusco 4 point (half cage) from Japan and waited for 2 months, but it was worth it Bucket seats - went for Sparco Rev as reasonably priced and look better than other seats in same price range. Wouldn't mind pair of Bride, but cant afford....for now Fitted them onto Buddy club seat rails as original plan of fabricating brackets myself didn't go to plan Harnesses - got 4 point OMP ones with 3" straps! Again, really liked design, "E" marked (road legal) and reasonably priced! Roll cage arrived Seats arrived Harnesses arrived Weekend off - it was time to crack on! And surprise surprise - weather was crap! Night before got resistors ready for new seats without airbags Guide: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/72971-seat-airbag-resistor/ Seats out Interior stripped and ready for the cage. Mane cage bit trial fitted Then my mate turned up with portable welder to weld backing plates to the rear strut bar to be used to attach harnesses Cage installed and plastics back in Eye bolts screwed into base plates we welded on earlier New seats are in. harnesses connected and adjusted - work complete!

  12. Check fuses by positive connector! Might blew one of them up? I did few months back...paid 60 odd quid to get new one from Nissan as its 1 whole assembly
  13. Haha I've done same! Did google it, and it came up with "Join Dynamo as he goes beyond the obvious to see the sights of London with Pepsi Max #LiveForNow. ... Heavy rain soundtrack called: Ethan mars theme. by Charlotte Wilson" searched that on iTunes - found one, not sure if right one, as preview was pretty short and didn't get to actual bit that sounds same lol
  14. Btw, anybody knows what that soundtrack called? Quite like it!
  15. Thanks for ruining magic
  16. Right...looks like it can be done...just need to find out what resistor to use
  17. Anyone? Lol

  19. Hi all, Fitted my cage over the weekend along with new bucket seats and harnesses... Before I started- disconnected battery and drained the remains by turning lights on and pressing brake pedal....removed seats and straight away fitted resisters to the airbag plug on both sides...then done the rest(cage/seats etc). Also removed stock seat belts as not gonna use them and to save them dangling around lol Turned ignition on - airbag light flashing...done airbag reset procedure few times - no joy. Took my car to my mates who checked it with his diag tool - it came up with 2 faults - right and left seat pretensioners... Question is: can I fit a resistor on tensiner wires like I did with seat airbags? If so, any idea what ohm/wattage I need to use? Thanks Vlad
  20. I got set of oem non electric cloth seats for sale...just incase you wanted to sell yours and then get mine lol just an option
