  1. And yes, you should always fill the filter if possible. Some engines have them on the side or the top which obviously makes that impossible, but if you can pre-fill then by all means do.

Yup, new to me. I believe I can fill it quarter to half way and still put it on in it's location without it spilling out.. Some is better than none I suppose.

Our filters are Sideways,.. Do you change your own oil? (Don't care if you do or don't.. just curious as your answer just begs the question is all ;) )..

Our filter.. (I think this is correct)

All my track bikes had their filters fitted like this, if you 1/4 fill it you should get it on ok without spilling too much

  2. Cheers lads. I've tried the "will they fit" site and to be honest haven't got a clue how the info their reflects the outcome on my car.

I've noticed that most places only seem to do a pretty weak offset on the 18" grids, driftworks do them in 9.5" in a ET20 offset but only in limited colours.

I'm thinking 8.5J front 9.5J rears both with an offset of ET20....... Either in white or matt bronze. I think the bronze would look pretty classy on my silver Z but at the same time the white will look a bit more "boy racer" and in your face.

I'm going to call a few places tommorow for clarification. Then it's just down to what colour I want :/

Edit. The guys on driftworks say 245/45 tyres will fit on a 10J rim no problem? If thats so my problem is solved as I could go 10J and ET15 on the rear, that would be much better.

10J ET20 is a good fit, not sure on et15 mate
  3. On the subject.. I've heard some people talking about putting some oil IN the new filter when installing it to help the engine on it's first start post oil and filter change. Think that's necessary?

I've never done it.. Always just lube the gasket with some oil and put it on dry.

I've always done it on my cars and track bikes, helps prevent air lock

  4. This grille arrived this morning so I had to fit it (with a small change to it!) thanks to CS for sorting it so quickly :thumbs:6u7uqequ.jpg

Looks B) just need to pop that plate plinth off.

Cheers mate. Yep it's on the list , I'm just waiting for the temps to rise a bit so the number plate tape stays on !

Pull your jeans up bud

I know, it's really weird, my Flakens have stretch on the front, but non on the rear, hence i get rubbing. Yet most people with our wheel/tyre size comb don't. It's amazing the difference between manufacturers
  6. i dont think my 245 on my 9.5j do stretch there dead straight if i recall

There's a slight stretch with my Falken 453 245's on the 9.5j, think i have the same 19" wheel set up as you from what i remember when i saw your car
