  1. That's a Nice beast, I'm looking at the l200, how are you finding the ride and mpg? I'm stuck between the latest navara, and the L200 but maybe the model before..
  2. Yep, and I've got tarmacs old beast, she's running great, I'd def buy another import. Servicing items are the same as UK, i just did belts (alternator, a/c etc) which was less than 50. No tilting mirrors,on reverse,on my import though.
  3. I still have a secret hankering for a Mk2 tubby MR2 is that wrong , My previous car before the Z was the Mr2 Turbo revision 3 t-bar in black , the last so i believe of the turbo mk2, it was a great car. Sold it after 3 years of ownership for more than I paid. Was a bit tail happy when turbo kicked in , and not expecting it.. great looks for an oldish car ! Highly recommend owning one
  4. Hi I'm looking for the whole plastic unit for the passenger side in which the cigarette lighter is found, as mine is filled with glue holding it all together (nice!) So would like to rip the tray out and replace with one thats not broken! PM me if you have one? Cheers
  5. That was one I saw, just taken the dog for a walk down Hengisbury Head and was driving back when I spotted it parked. Ah cool, I'll look out for you. The Z isn't there at the moment as my daily runner (crappy little polo 1.4) nothing feels faster than the z after driving that round and round, has failed its mot, so using the Z everyday, huge SMILE! But yeah, hate having it parked out the front of flat, as you get a lot of people wondering onto the drive on their way to the shop next door, snooping around it, which is odd as it's no ferrari or anything, so you'd think people seen enough of them? lol weird. Def keep a look out for the green monster (Soon hopefully) and the couple of Black Z's! Karma indeed lol.. Ill pinch one off my polo, that piece of sh*t can live without a cap, funny how they didn't take that one
  6. Probably mine as well, Im up in Southbourne and she's always parked outside the flat in the week (weekend toy - silver JDM) right out front, next to the new co-op, some cheeky bugger (probably a kid) pinched a dust cap lol.. to be fair, I remember as a kid I did that once!
  7. It's kinda nice having a report to work against, just its quite long lol. Hmm not me, unless my sneeky bro decided to hijack my car the other weekend!
  8. Awesome stuff, thanks for the feed back, sounds like the "mopping" job is best left for a lazy sunday - under cover! Ok, will look into these buffing machines, sounds like something I could do with, for any future work. Had a feeling the stuff listed above wasn't too bad to do, cool, I'll crack on with the gasket change, thats just annoying! Cheers chaps Lee
  9. Hey All, So my beloved JDM I picked up a few months ago (Tarmacs old beast) which still loving, took it to Nissan for a minor service which I'll never do again (which is silly considering I've serviced old cars in past) but always nice to have a stamp! The bill was £390 for what was an oil change and a long list of "oh god, what have you bought, you have to do the following" .. and wow, that price list came to £2900 lol.. Anyway, it was things like - 4 x Tyres - New Rocker Gasket due to oil leak - New JDM Battery - Undertray hanging and needs reviewing - New front brake pads/discs - New Rear brake pads, and rear caliper binding - Tracking off - Two side lights replacements needed - Main light not working - Spare wheel holder snapped and glued back, needs reviewing - Spring within Clutch Assembly needs replacing (due to heavy heavy clutch) It goes on and on.. anyway, I've sorted out: Tyres, Tracking, Battery, Undertray, Rewelded Spare Wheel Holder, side lights and main light... all good Ill speak to ZMan for the Rocker Gasket and brake pads/discs. Then he went onto say the paint work on drivers door looks bad, I've never noticed to be honest, the front bumper could do with a respray as could the rear, all stuff I knew about and talked to pervious owner about, so all cool. But Nissan reckon the drivers door needs "Mopping"? I've never seen this , is it hard to do, it's only in certain light I can see what they're on about, but man do they go over the top at Nissan! They make you feel like you're driving a car thats about to explode. And to be fair all the stuff above, is mainly service items, and I've sourced parts a HELL of a lot cheaper! lol.
  10. Interestingly enough, when I first got my JDM (53 plate) I foolishly took it to Nissan for a minor service. They detected the heavy heavy clutch, and informed me this is a common issue as the car ages, and it's down to a spring inside the clutch assembly that needs to be replaced ,and the clucth will be like a feather .. But Im not that fussed to be honest, but thought I'll spread the knowledge
  11. This is good news! Thanks dude. I shall wait for the phone call to hear if they can deliver ASAP, otherwise will pm Alex. Thanks for this
  12. it was my daily for a month when I first got it, then noticed mileage vs fuel meant i was out of pocked (shock) when driving around the country for the work I do.. and now I have the ultimate road hogs VW Polo (N Reg) 1.4 lol this is my daily, man its a beast and a old Cherokee 4.0 ltr for towing .. Z for fun, maybe if I sold all three I could get something that did it all maybe? lol.
  13. Hey All, So took my 350 in at Protyre in Poole, as the steering wheel was pointing left and the car was going straight. So seeing tyres had seen better days, I got them to do it all tracking etc, Falkens FK452 was the tyre of choice for each corner. Then after an hour of waiting around I get the "Excuse me sir, can you follow me" Uh ohhhhhhhhhh Walked up to my car up, which was high up on the ramps, and the bolt on the rear that helps adjust the camber? which they have to rotate had snapped. They didnt like the look of the otherside as that was corroded just as bad. They couldn't apply heat to it, due to the rubber in the joint could get damaged. So I had to leave my car there since Sat (And its still there now) . I was warned before leaving that sourcing the said "Bolt" x 2 (Could be a day, or 2 weeks as the car is an import) surely not! lol. I really dont want to drive her home with some bolt they find in the garage as a temp fix, as the camber will be out. Sorry if not technical on description here, Im not sure what this bolt is called? I cant believe the UK / Jap model is different in this area? Any advice welcomed Cheers All Lee
  14. Lovely blue z parked up, as I drove past , then you followed me down to the misery of traffic hell at tuckton where I decided to.do a naff 3 point turn in middle of road lol. Lovely looking car, I was in the silver z *tarmacs old beast !

  20. Hey All, Newbie owner here, down in Bournemouth and still smiling away! What a beast the 350Z is! The car came with personalised plates, alittle googling around (and the fact my 350 had a sticker in the rear window) pointing to this forum lol, I've found a great place to be, and I believe links upto Tarmacs original email signature, which has the private plate ! So be great to hear from your Tarmac, please dont tell me I've bought a lemon! Just came back from a P1 Nissan service, intersting findings which the trader never told me about, but still pleased with her ! Ill try and get some pics up.. So, this is me, and Hi! Cheers Lee
