What does this refer to?

I read that in the cubby hole between the two seats there should be a port in which you can dock a bluetooth reception unit. In my car its just a hole with a card holder in it. Am I looking in the wrong place or am I just not going to be able to connect my phone via bluetooth. 05 reg car. Bose stereo.

Might pop a bit of paint remover on there and see what happens.

Is it actually lacquer thats on there or is it a metal coating. just wondering if masking off and poping on a bit of nitromors would do the trick.

How did you get the old lacquer off. Was having a pick at mine the other week and it did not look easy to remove.

Good point on the windows mike. Do all cars do that. I would have thought it would only be the roadster

I have no reason to doubt grant on this but I now have conflicting views. I hope the stereo is coded as grant says - and it makes logical sense that it is. Would feel a lot better if others could comment before I take the battery plunge. Thanks for any further advances from people who can comment from experience.

Really. The fibbers at the dealership told me that I'd be knackered if I disconnected the battery.. So it's a load of cobblers then?

Is the Bose stereo coded. If the battery is disconnected will it need a code inputting? If I don't have a code (and I don't think I do) what can I do about this. Thanks

I thought there was one where Abbey Motorsport did a dyno comparison of the three engines in successive graphs. Is that not the case?

Thanks. Tried a number of other things, but dyno results was not one. Search works well if you know the names used in a particular thread. If not then it does not work.

Are there any dyno graphs comparing the bhp and torque curves of the various 350z engines. And yes, before someone says it, I've used the search function to look for it already. Thanks

Yesterday a guy crossing the street accelerated toward the centre of the road specifically so he could shout "****" through my window as I drove past him. The roof was up at the time, so it's not even like I was being a git with the roof down in autumn conditions!!! It was a nasty part of east london and I presume he did live there, so I imagine he was just a dole skank who does not like people who work for a living and have some nice stuff.

Thanks mate. I think thats a different issue. Hes talking about pedal feel - im talking about strange noises. Maybe thats the one he had in mind but to quote the catchphrase host - its close, but its not right.

I didn't release the clutch and listen so am not sure. Thanks for that wazo. Any further offers on this? Generally is increased noise a feature of sitting in traffic for ages.

I have searched andI did not find a specific answer. It would be nice if people could just post an answer to posts unless its the most obvious question ever - in which case it might be in a sticky? Why not let me benefit from the your knowledge. I was fine doing this on other car forums I have been a long term member of. Posts that look dull to long term members are still worth answering rather than just talking about the search function. Ive used it and its not a panacea. If you know of a post that specifically answers a question link it. If not and its connected chatter on a similarish issue then post a specific answer. Everyones obsession with the search function is getting me down. This is not about you zugara so please dont take it as a personal pop.

Had the unpleasant experience of spending an hour and a half crawling across London this evening. It was rank, like being in one massive traffic jam. I averaged less than 10mph. When I finally got near home and could get out of second gear the car was making some weird noises. Growling away, funny sounds when coasting after lifting off the throttle from 3k>. I'm reasonably sure it was not the engine, sounded more like a transmission/gearbox type thing. Does the 350z make weird noises if you sit in traffic for ages? Steve

Thanks ian that looks ok to me. Ill pm you re payment. I think what ill do is fit this and go to a few meets. Maybe ill find a roadster owner with a k2 and that will let me spend the money when the bank balance has recovered from the initial purchase.
