  1. Yeah totally agree mate, in the past I've built most of my cars myself. Obviously it's the more expensive option but as you said you know exactly what work & parts have gone into it. Plus there's the sense of satisfaction from building something special yourself! I only bought the TT Zed as I was looking for one & it seemed a great deal at a good price & seems well built, but only time will tell! R34 GTR is an amazing machine, you won't be dissapointed. I can't think of another 10+ year old car that looks & feels so fresh even today or what that has held it's value so well either. I sold mine when I started getting into drifting a bit more seriously and couldn't justify having or building a specced drift car, a £30k toy & a daily. Had I not got into drifting I'd probably still have the GTR.... there are certainly days I regret selling it. Although I didn't lose any money on it's value in nearly 2 years. Is your GTR standard?

    HSD Coilovers

If only driftworks had the damn things in stock i'd already be ordering them, waited 6 weeks & now its going to be about another 4
  3. i'd buy that twin turbo Zed that someone linked on pistonheads earlier...... oh wait, i did Incedentally i've also owned a R33 & R34 GTR (34 made 560bhp too) and i genuinely prefer my TT Zed. Although my old 34 is probably worth more now than i sold it for 2 years ago, safe to say thats not going to happen with my Zed. GTR is a great car to own but i found it just a little to linear & uninvolving. Although strangly my R33 was more enjoyable than my R34?? Running costs are also quite high & you wont be able to help modding it & you'll soon end up in the realms of new turbo's & forged engines which gets real expensive real quick.

    HSD Coilovers

Cheers for the opinions guys! I have Driftworks CS2's on my skyline which are essentially re-vavled HSD's with different spring rates. They are amazing, far better than Tein's HKS's that ive used before! But as said above i'm not sure you can compare one coilover on one car to the same on a different car! Think i'm going to order HSD's........ as soon as Driftworks have them back in stock
  5. Yeah to be honest 215 on 10.5 is too much stretch but I needed to push the wheel out as far as possible to get maximum clearance for big lock on the front of my Skyline, hence I used the skinniest tyre I could get! Takes about 150 psi in the bead blaster to see it on there too I got the wheels direct from Varrstoen.
  6. I have gone with the same wheels as yourself I'll measure my ride height later as I'm currently still on standard suspension. Will be going with HSD coilovers as soon as Driftworks have them back in stock. I'm planning on running 215's on the front & 245's rear or maybe even 235's. Currently have 215's on a 10.5" rim on my drift skyline & they've proved perfectly safe & useable!
  7. Sorry wasn't very clear was I I've ordered 9.5 front & 10.5 rear both in ET0. Any idea how low you've gone with yours? What suspension are you running? If I can get the stance anything like yours I'll be more than happy.... it looks amazing mate!
  8. Anybody interested in these at £400 before i have to put them on ebay?
  9. Where defo too cheap then, lol.
  10. I'm ordering those LED bulbs right now....it's all about the small touches Looks great! Have you had to change your camber setup at all to get those wheels under the arches? I've just ordered the 10.5's in ET 0
  11. If your going to have a F&F car surely it's got to be this one http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3002313.htm Incedently I sold this very car about a month ago to buy my Z.... for alot less than it's back up for.
  12. It depends how flush you want to be really mate, they sit pretty well as it's on a 10.5" rim. About the sort of fitment that most people run but if you wanted that proper "stanced" look then you'd maybe want to run a spacer. I will get a pic for you later on today so you can see for yourself.
  13. Haha, no..... just a bit indecisive. Have a set of 19" Varrstoen's on the way which are deffinate keepers.
  14. I have some more wheels for sale. I bought these as temporary replacements for the 20's that came on my Zed while I waited for the perfect set of wheels..... well turns out I've found the perfect wheels alot sooner than expected so these are no longer required! Im not sure what make they are? But they have a nice bot of dish, especially on the rear. Sizes are: 8.5 x 19 fronts ET20 with 245/40/19 bridgestone Potenzas with approx 5.5mm of tread. 10.5 x 19 rears ET35 with 275/35/19 Falken FK452's with approx 4mm of tread. One front & one rear wheel has light curbing on the edge of the rim, but nothing major! Would like £450 for these collected or can post for an extra £30 Thanks
  15. Yes I did notice mate, although u were first to post you only expressed interest & requested more pics..... rather than the confirmed sale I had via PM 5 mins later. Sorry dude.
  16. These are provisionally sold pending payment via a PM I recieved approx 20 mins after starting the thread..... Obviously too cheap!
  17. These wheels came on my new Zed but aren't really my cup of tea so i've decided to go for a change. They are MSW (Motorsport wheels) RS-8's and are in great condition with a nice bit of dish on them Fronts are 8.5 x 20 ET20 fitted with 245-30-20 Toyo's with just over 7mm of tread remaining Rears are 10 x 20 ET30 fitted with 275-30-20 Toyo's with 5.5mm of tread The fronts do have some very light curb marks on the egdge of the rim which you can just see in the close up pictures, the rears are perfect. These fitted my Zed fine, cleared the Brembos & no rubbing whatsoever! Would like £550 for them collected or can post within the UK for an additional £30 Thanks
  18. Ha that's some first class detective work there...... Yes it us Wick & I do know John Lewis, he lives with my Mum! Lol. Also yes my RX7 did used to be in pro tyre & that is Brad's RX7 in the background, One of my best mates & we drive in the same team along with his bro & 2 others! I've no idea how you knew all that my man but top marks for observation! Yeah I'd like to get down to a meet! Don't worry the Zed is my civilised daily so no drifting..... but there will be some skids at Castle Combe this weekend!
  19. No mate, I think that may well have been the guy I got the car from though.

    Help Please!

Really? 30mm just doesn't sound like alot compared to other cars I've had? Is the 350Z a naturally quite low car anyway then?
  21. The RX was great to look at & drive.... but as an ownership proposition it got a little tiring really! Plus I've also got a skyline I was supposed to be replacing the RX7 with something subtle & good on fuel.....and somehow I've ended up with an Orange, twin turbo Zed?! Lol
  22. Thanks mate.... It was undeniably cool, but an absolute pain in the ass to own or drive anywhere! "ere, ow fast does it go mister" at every petrol station gets a bit tedious! :-)
