Morning all, My 03 plate JDM headlights are heavily marked\scratched on the inside of the lens, i've read up that I might be able to take the headlight unit apart by sticking it in an oven to melt the glue that bonds it and then reparing the scratches using t-cut or some other polish.... Before I attempt this i'm going to purchase a new set just in case the old pair melt as I need the car as a daily drive. Anybody have a pair going for sale?

I was driving away from the nurburgring and you drove past. you had a square number plate to the front but a UK on the rear. this was on the 2nd (Tuesday) July.

Hi all, I've got an 03 import from japan, the headlights are starting to crack and mist internally so I need some advise on how to resolve the issue. This is definately an internal issue, I've TCUT the hell out of the outside with zero improvement. It's almost like the lacquer is coming off inside the lamps. It was only an advisory on the last MOT but fear it may end up being a major if I dont get it sorted. I was looking into buying a pair from the US as this is the only real cheap way to replace headlamps, my only concern is the left\right alignment needed for UK roads. I managed to dig up this thread http://www.350z-uk.com/index.php?showtopic=19504 which shows how to adjuast the lights to stop the dazzle cause to drivers on the right. Am I right in assuming then that these lights will fit a 350z import? Alternatively, is there anyway I can adjust a UK model headlight to the JDM connector? I assume Id have to remove the auto leveling (Why dont jap cars have this?). Any advise on the subject is much appreciated.

Thanks for the advise and the pic, I will nip out lunch time and check. Yes I had popped another fuse under the bonnet, so I purhcased some new mini fuses and got the power back. Yes, next time I will remove the battery power as this would have saved a lot of grief. Unfortunately it is still binging. I will try and record a sound clip and post it later. Thanks for the fuse image, I will nip out at lunch and check the fuses in the drivers side foot well. Everything seems to be working, even the JDM screen and navigation DVD power up but still the bing persists. Will message back when I have that clip.

Hi All, Decided to swap out my failing BOSE stereo with a single DIN JVC. I've plugged it all in and nothing. Im assuming I've popped a fuse (There were a few sparks) but the fuse cover is all in japanese. I've searched the forum and there was a sticky, but the photo of the fuse box has since been removed from photo bucket. Does anyone have info on the stereo fuse in the driver food well and the one under the bonnet? It's also being making a "bing.... bing" sound when I turn the ignition on. Im guessing related to the fuse problem. Any info would be appreciated.

Hi all, Another member making a come back. Zed number 2 for me, I have been keeping an eye out for a nice one for some months now. This one came up on Ebay so I took a punt and won. Some pics attached. She is fairly standard apart from an after market exhaust from these chaps. http://www.nengun.com/search/#t:n;b:132;k:impul%2520;g:1. It's an Impul Titan GT blast backbox and center section which apparently retail for $4000!!!! It definately sounds good, but can't believe someone would have paid $4000k for it. Anyone have any experience of Impul exhausts? The car is in really good nick as you can see from the pics..... However there are two niggling problems which I need to get sorted. Issue 1) Already on it's way to being sorted. A notchy 3rd gear, more noticable from cold. Already been onto ZMANALEX for some gearbox oil and molyslip which should be with me by Monday. I have been reading some reviews on this forum and it seems like the way forward. Fingers crossed. Issue 2) Drivers side window motor. Spent about 4 hours doing this today, and followed the online guide several times with varying results. It seems to work for 20-30 minutes (by the time I have put all the trim back on) and then works intermittently. I have concluded that the motor must be shot. Has anyone purchased a Window motor from the US ebay? Hi all, I bought my 350z with a Nurrish special media touch screen unit installed. I have PM'd Nurrish bout this issue but see he is now out of the country until July 2012 So wonder if anyone else has experience on this. I replaced the SD card at the back on the unit to a larger size (16Gb) and it works great..... Apart from one thing. The unit now appears to have a screen lock enabled on it. This is activated from the moment I power on the unit, a small padlock icon will appear in the top left of the screen. To perform any action on the unit I need to press and hold the power button (In the bottom right under the touch screen) and then perform the actions on screen. Understadably this is fairly minor, but it does cause a loss of focus on the road while trying to change tracks. On a side note, I also have a USB connector for the Nurrish unit. How do I get music onto the unit without taking the SD card out from the back? The USB doesnt respond when I plug the laptop into it? Help appreciated. Thanks Chris

Yeah the car is mechanically sound (apart from a vibration when breaking from high speed). Yeah the drivers seat has some wear. I have attached some picks. Just took her on a spin to Bournemouth and it was massively enjoyable. I agree £5k is a bargin for this much fun. I dont suppose 20k miles will change that. Do the JDM's have a louder exhaust? Ive seen other 350z's (uk spec) but they dont seem as loud.....
