  1. I miss nearly all of em, miss the 1986 XR3i, the 1988 RS Turbo, the 1975 Pontiac Formula 400 Firebird, the 1978 Z28 Camaro, the 1977 3.0 Ghia Capri.... what a slop wagon but taught me all there is to know about drifting round islands in the wet, the 2007 BMW325I Coupe.............oh and especially the 1967 Mustang she was a honey, live axle, 3 speed manual, think I only ever got it into third half a dozen times, wheelspin in all gears !!!!! especially reverse. :scare:Yanks have that certain sweet smell about them, warm engine oil mixed with aging PVC and soft hot rubber ......... slightly arousing !!!! There was lots of dross in between in times when I had to be sensible but to be fair if I had my way I'd have em all rotting in me front yard like them hill billies in the states, great for keeping your chickens in.

  2. Not got the Brabus, but honestly I luvs me little 82PS Roadster, just have to take em for what they are, not going to beat anybody with that little squirt 698cc two stroke coupled with that little squirrel turbo but so much fun trying :yahoo: The roof rolls back and it's even got heated leather and air con. Once you master the paddles it's great. Must admit though did my 60 mile round commute in it the other day and they had to pour me out of the drivers seat, not very dignified having to crawl out on your hands and knees but what the hell  Gives the neighbours a laugh.

  3. Off to Jacksonville end of September, just hired a car off Network Flights as have done many times before all over the states £350 for the fortnight all in gold package, full size, tank of gas bring her back empty. Generally get a Ford Fusion, plenty comfy, plenty guts perfect for their roads as smokey always on the scanner waiting for ya , no IDP needed as long as you got paper licence & passport, your away B)

  4. Bleeders!!!!!!!! These insurance types, had the same story from the bum holes myself this year, been with Sainsbury's Bank Car Insurance for 11 years, 48 with 16 years NCB and restricted mileage of 6000/annum asked for £500 at renewal when the year before the cost was £376. When challenged they advised they could do me a deal if i let the policy lapse for a while and approached them for a new policy as a new customer................................WHAT THE !!!!!!!!!!! Time for a sharp exit. With out to much problem found and took a policy with better cover benefits with AXA .....£269 Half the cost, on line, was able to do the lot even post a scanned copy of my NCB on the account ...............easy peasey ............pays to shop around B)

  5. Can be an absolute nightmare, I went the skilled worker permanent residency route which took three years to finally get the residency papers and a further three months after we landed to get the all important SIN Numbers, Canada NI equivalent. This was probably the most painfull route but once you have residency papers your considered as good as Canadian as long as you spend the best part of 2 years there out of the next 5, this ensures residency is kept alive. It's now getting harder to immigrate to Canada as the past ten years has seen a dramatic attraction of all classes of skilled work force and know getting more selective. It's a worthwhile road but you have to be committed to the Canadian process, they don't want immigrants, they want new Canadians, you have to show a true love of all things Mooosey!! Just ONE THING ! make sure all involved understand that - family especially as no matter how close you think they are they can scotch your efforts by just being awkward, the emotional card is a hard one to beat :boxing:

  6. Where's that exact location DoogyRev, mountain looks familiar as an ex BC resident, I work in rural Worcestershire now and my view ain't bad but it ain't that good you lucky bathbun!! loved the lifestyle, still long for the clean air, adored the seasons, respected the people but in the end the distinct lack of good pork pies, dripping chips, Bank's beer, on and my misses not being able to cope with living that far from her family finally drove me back to blighty. That said I recently returned to Vancouver for three weeks for nostalgia purposes and business and was shocked at the Canadian exponential growth to include the cost of living. Changed rapidly in the last 6 years especially the crime rate which was one of the attracting factors. Still don't look like much gun crime on your hill side there :D Still rather be there anytime.

  7. Oi , women have rights you know!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They generally have smaller feet as well so as they can nearer to the sink, cooker and washing machine........could be the reason they get so bloody close to my car ;) Plus we men need to take responsibility for creating the female perspective of distance, after all we are always telling them 5 inches is actually 8 inches, perhaps we lost the plot when we invented the parking sensor (man invention for women) and inadvertently applied the same rule :p Don't know about you lot but I always like to think the end of my manhood is further away than it actually is :scare:

  8. Don't want anybody phoning me while I'm driving the Zed, that's definitely "ME" time ........switch the phone OFF....... turn the exhaust ON !!! :yahoo: Maybe even a little AC/DC.........

  9. Last month had to get a new set of boots for the Honda Accord work wagon and decided to get wheels refurbed, used The Wheel Specialist in Birmingham, had an offer on, worked out at about 70 quid a corner for, strip tyre, chemical strip wheel, shot blast and dynafile all the kerbed edges, powder coat, fit the new boots ( Many thanks to Camskill best price!!) balance & re-fit.

Must admit finish is A1, BEST THING ................... SO DAMN EASY TO CLEAN :yahoo:

  10. Honda Accord Type S for the commute and have to own up to a little Smart Roadster for knocking about town, it ain't fast but the roof comes off and it goes round islands as fast as it goes in a straight line  oh and does 50 - 60 to the gallon, great if you can suffer those looks from people thinking "look at that grown bloke driving that little thing" Like the Zed they all want a go really!!!!!

  11. looks like the CATD would be a good buy !!!!!!!!!! Budget doesn't stretch enough for my Z, 2008 GT, 11000miles, 12 months MOT 5 months tax FSH & just serviced .........showroom, never seen a wet road from new. Don't get chance to use her much.

  12. Only did 1500miles last year but had a P1 along with the MOT,provided my own oil, fully synthetic MOTUL 8100 eco-energy from Camskill for £32.00 delivered (5L).

Westway Nissan did the rest, MOT, P1, Oil Change all for £146.00 and got 12months pan european roadside recovery and breakdown assistance in with the price. Oil denegrates and absorbs water over time and temp extremes so I reckon it's worth it. :teeth: :teeth: (Although the zed has only done 11000 since new).

Why would you need European Assistance when you Zed hardly goes out of your street

Last time I looked U.K. was in Europe and so was my street B)
