Has anyone tried to see how they work? I'm sure they will fit (581's) but are there any you can buy with build in resistors that will stop them from flashing too fast? I have seen error free ones, but apparently they won't stop the over flashing, but will stop any warning lights coming on?
I know I could do the easy thing of getting silver bulbs, but I fancy something a little different and LED's would match the side lights.
Cheers.
Type LED bulbs in to ebay search, and there are loads that come up. In the description section it takes you to the home pages with all the info on including the info on the resistors

Nice, getting a different car is alway fun - especially older ones which represent a bit more of a challenge
Fancy making a few mods?
I would love to, but time & money are the key factors here. I need the liquidate as much as possible before the big move.
But your right enough, I am still having some fun with it!!
Saw a left Hand drive Cosworth on EBay for £24k yesterday!!

Hi all
As some of you will know, there are a lot of changes afoot for me, notably a move to Canada in hopefully the not too distant future. As part of these plans I quit my job last week and as such the company car went. This led me in to a bit of a dilemma which involved me having to buy a car, for the first time in some years. It had to be functional and sellable (quickly) and above all cheap!!
So after much research I picked this up from Scotland on Saturday, I have been cleaning it ever since
I interred .........the "SHED ZONE"
Mercedes Benz 190e
Finished in White
106k T&T'd until September
Everything works on it too! It evan has all the tools & safety equipment & the first aid kit & loads of history
£500 - Bargin!!
Snow foam first, to see what's what!
In not too bad nick, a few scabs here and there, but the paint finish was "matt" to say the least.
So a full day with Autoglym's paint restorer & the two coats of Autoglym polish resin stuff!
Day two:
The interior was minging. There where some very suspect stains in there too. I was reminded of the Top Gear episode when they did a CSI on some old cars they bought
Took all the seats out, and hoovered first. Then used a household stain remover, then a Turtle Wax carpet
shampoo, finally re hoovered. Quite pleased with the results TBH.
Tackled the boot yesterday. Some dampness in there to be sorted, as the spare wheel (with a brand new tyre on!) was very rusty as was the tool kit. So cleaned it all out and refurbished the wheel (a bit not OTT) and the tools. Not a nice job but pleased its now done
Sorry about the picture quality, only had the iphone on me

This thread may help you with the servicing question. As for the recall issue try another dealer if you are getting no where with yours

Awesome Asian food can be found at Ping Pong which is a pretty stylish restaurant by the royal festival hall, pretty much on your door step. Also forget the OXO tower and head further along the south bank for the Tate Modern, the bar and café\restaurant on the top floor is open fairly late has awesome views for about a 1/3rd of the price.
The beer garden setup at the Udderbelly comedy festival, also on southbank by the London eye is also pretty cool and a bit different. Loads of patio heaters too you'll appreciate at this time of year.
Head over to Leicester Square and Piccadilly for random bars and restaurants - a friend rates the Aberdeen Angus steakhouse and there are some decent Irish bars around there too.
God damn it you beat me to this one.... I took my wife up the Oxo Tower for her birthday, but i think on refelction, she would have preferred flowers.......... I thank you...

A Gentleman would never were brown using the old maxim "Never brown in town!"
Now if you were were country apparel i.e. a nice tweed number, that would be different.

I know a fair bit about it and have been asked to join but it isn't my bag. The secrecy thing does lead to a lot of suspicion and criticism but to be fair the Masons don't respond to the critics, despite there being nothing to hide. I respect that, and the fact they do good things for charities and local causes - they don't advertise that either
Ultimately though, the whole tradition / rituals thing isn't my bag. I find a bit embarrassing TBH
Im in the same boat... and I agree...
+1 I was recently approached and I went along to a recruitment evening. It was quite nice, like going back in time 120 years. But I just felt it was something your dad would do and I am not quite grown up enough just yet!

.... apparently they are not that good to drive
They were originally, as they were based on a lotus esprit chasis, but for some unknown reason they raised the front end of them just before it was launched, which totally screwed up the handling. A lot of owners drop the front end back to how it was designed originally.
Performance wise, they are slow as my lawn mower as they are quite underpowered. I think its something like 150hp for European models and 130hp for US models with all the extra anti pollution control on them.
Renault V6 I believe

Waiting for my wife to finish straightening her hair, hopfully before Homeland starts

I'd say both the TT and Z4 are unisex...
Hmm, I think the TT is solely feminine. UNLESS... its a TTS 272 or the RS, the extra aggressive bumpers help, but the boggo standard TT with the basic small 5 star wheels looks... well actually rubbish lol It looks as if its aged already. lol
Yes I think the New TT is less girly than the first one, and the TTS is more aggressive. The S3 would have been the chaps choice between the standard TT and S3 IMO
The Zed is a blokes car, which my wife aggees with. She would rather have a Zed than a TT though

Its been a long old road. deap breath. Good luck

Obviously that chap was a ****..... just release your button when both parts are open.
You only do damage if it's below 5 degrees and you open the roof..
Classic line, tea has just come out of my nose
