  1. If you ended up needing a dealer part, I could help you out a bit

there are a few types ranging from £110 to £151 +VAT so I would need a chassis number

However I can get 12.5% off whichever one you need

    Best of luck

  2. toyota dropped all their performance in a short time,

they dropped the supra, then the MR2 and then the Celica, which left them with the....ummm....urrr....iygo? no specific toyota sports car for ages, but there is talk of a new MR2 in the pipe line.

I was working for the Toyota Dealer network at this time. The reasoning was "They wanted to be the GREENIST manufacture in the world" nuff said hence the boring car range

  3. Weight has a lot to do with it. The Mito probably weighs not much less that the Audi 100.....

Yes, I would agree to a degree (mm, not sure if that’s grammatically correct), but still does explain why a car with 30 year old technology uses less fuel and has an engine almost twice the size!

  4. "Road TAX" is basically a tax on emissions, which is why some cars pay £0 a year. (Nerdy fact alert!): Road tax was abolished by Winston Churchill in 1937. This is the same argument cyclists have when people shout at them about not paying to be on the road, technically neither are motorists, they just pay to pollute it. The main issue I have with VEL is that we never see where our yearly payment goes. As it is swallowed up by other government spending. General taxation pays for the upkeep of roads, hence why our local councils don't repair roads, if they were getting a percentage of "road tax" they wouldn't have an issue.

For info, on my 57 plate 350Z I paid £435, a 2011 plate GTR I see on a daily basis near work pays the same .

Pedantic as it is, the owner of a 2011 GTR would be paying £1,000 tax in the first year.

Yes, its the same with National Insurance. This no longer pays for schools and Health etc. It all goes in a pot with VAT and VED, and spent on the flavour of the day....

  5. What I don’t understand is the overall economics vs. the environmental

    Example

In the 1980's my mother had an Audi 100CS 5 cyl. 2.2ltr petrol this car did 41mpg all day long

In the 90's they put cat's on car and the performance went down and the fuel consumption went up

Here we are in the present day, my wife has a Alfa Mito 155 that struggles to do 34mpg and its a 1.4!

The questions is at what point does the fuel wastage overtake the seemingly unburnt Co2s

Does this make sense? I just would be interested where the balance is??

It just seems that the engines are working harder to give less :bangin:

  6.

I heard somewhere that "Think Floyd" had played to more live people than Pink Floyd!

Did Pink Floyd mostly play to dead people then?

    :p

All their original fans will now be in there 70's - So yes, you are probably right :lol:

Sorry that was a bit crass, we all have to work longer to get the pensions in these days!! :headhurt:

  7. A demo eh ? Okay-dokey. I wonder if that means it has been driven hard.

Eg. they are asking £27,995 for a "10" plate / 3000 mile GT Coupe (without connect premium but with satnav). At the same time, they are selling a brand new GT Coupe (connect premium) for just £200 more.

I guess the "10" plate car must have been made before Nissan made "connect premium" part of the GT package.

If it's any help at all. I have an 11 Plate pre reg (delivery mileage only reg'ed 27/05/2011) GT pack WITH Connect for £27,549 in Storm Grey.

  8. I have done the Mustang thing. Mmm, bad idea unless you could blag a decent spec one. The one I had (In yellow) had the worst suspension in the world and kept bottoming out over speed bumps and the interior was rubbish, that said it was a series one, and I think the series two is a bit better. The trouble is you book these things blind, and you just pray for what you actually expect

  9. I posted my last things on previous different thread but in the interest of keep this going my previous:

Last Gig (before last gig!) The Last Shadow Puppets

Last Album (before last album) The Tron OST (don’t laugh, its good enough for Top Gear. They have used tracks off it constantly the series so far!!)

    :lol::lol:

  10. This hasn't gone to plan at all, I am so @*!# at posting pictures, I am promised some training by Lexx tomorrow.

I've let my self down, the school down...... :surrender::surrender:

your problem there was that when you pasted the URL for the image, youve managed to delete part of the [/img] code  (highlighted)

    Many thanks :bangin:

  11. The next major update is due toward the last fews month of this year. I have also attached the part numbers of the Nav units if anyone is interested too.

Do you know what the update specs actually include - i.e. do/will they have speed camera locations?

I presume the ability to search by post codes for those with pre-connect premium sat navs, remains unavailable?

    Thanks

To be fair I screen dumped the intranet page on to the post. As you can see it's pretty non specific in those areas. However I will e-mail Nissan on this but I wouldn't hold you breath.

Any news and I will get back on

  12. Also an excellent video between angels and insects with the roaches coming out of his mouth an that!

Picking up the point of lost direction, I felt the same way about linkin park after hybrid theory

I wonder if you are feeling a bit of sound garden too...?

Everyone loves a bit of Black Hole Sun.

I was always baffled at how you could take the best parts of Soundgarden, and the best parts of RATM, and end up with something as poor as Audioslave.

On paper, it should have been amazing.....but it just wasn't.

I'm glad that both bands have reformed and started over again.

Like you, I stopped listening to Linkin Park after Hybrid Theory. Although, I was never a huge fan anyway to be honest.

Couldn't aggree more. Now then Incubus - discuss.....

Great band again not alot of air time tho
