Hi mate no kept wheels on inspected under car then put it on the rolling road testing brakes and handbrake and said the noise is coming from inside the drum itself on the passenger side. Noise it stil there whether Im braking or not dude.

Thanks guys just took it to my local garage said pads look fine, they think its the handrake shoes as the handbrake is squeaking a lot when on and the car is trying to move.

Only just noticed this, but had my window open whilst driving today and could hear a slight metal jangling noise coming from my rear passenger wheel. Ive inspected the wheel as I thought it might be the centre cap on the wheel spinning around and moving but its not and all wheels bolts are firmly in place, it seems to be coming from the actual drum itself and onl happens at certain times, its not anything loose as when I go over a bump theres no sound? Wondering if it could be the handbrake shoes???

If anyone has a single decat nearside as I have a cracked one.

Took the zed to my local guy today to find one of my decats has cracked , he said it needs either stainless steel welding or another decat, its the nearside and its a japspeed decat. What would be best guys? Cost wise and effiency etc. Danke

The onlt thing drawing me to a X3 is the look, spec and price of a fairly decent one between 8-9k

Thanks for the replies chaps, I know 2 totally different cars, but was thinking do I go for another sport coupe or something practical which I guess is a decision for myself.... So looks like a boxster wont have the same appeal as a zed, looked at TTs but thought the perfomance was lesser to a boxster? Would look at a 370z but with prices over 13k still and a decent boxster for 10k-11k. How does a TT compare to a 350?

As above guys early next year I'll probably be looking at selling at the Zed in favour of something else, question is do I go for practical with a X3 or look at a 55 plate+ Boxster? If anyone has any experience of driving either please feel free to give me some advice , Id be looking at a Sport X3 possibly 2.5/3.0i and a 2.7 987 Boxster. Thanks

Hi mate yes one at the top of the dash and 1 just under the right of the steering wheel where the immobiliser key goes.

Been trying to set my alarm off to test it but to no avail, Ive got a 2004 import with a cobra immobiliser and have tried my door handles when the car is locked and also locked the car with the windows down and put my arm in and it had still not set the alarm off?? Is the cobra imboliser just an imboliser not an alarm also??

Chipsaway is your best bet but from expierence the amount you pay your better off going to a spray garage and getting the front end done for a proper job and prob only a few quid more, also if you have anything else that needs doing paint wise get it done at the same time as its always cheaper to get everything done then having bits sprayed at different times. I got my front bumper, bonnet, wing mirrors, wings, doors blow in to colour match front, roof, spoiler and rebumper filled (due to 2 small bumps) and sprayed all for £680. The front end would of cost £300 on its own so nearly had the full car resprayed for under £700.

Okay guys, bit of a strange one but Im sort wanting a different zed for some reason, I usually get bored of cars quite quickly and usually change every year, although I love the 350z I dont get the same buzz as I do in mine anymore I think it maybe the colour. Sooooooo I was wanting to put a feeler thread for anyone who could be interested in doing a 350z swap? Obviously just a feeler thread at the mo and seeing whats out there etc. Mines a JDM 2004 Auto (with tiptronic) UY with 63k on the clock had full service, MOT in April, has FSH, has japspeed decats, Nismo V1 rep spoiler, LMGT4s 19s (Id possibly keep these depending on other zed) Kenwood touch screen double din DVD/Ipod HU, carbon wrapped lip, usual stubby aerial, also changed the centre console pods to a UK so reads in Miles not Km. Also had the front bumper, bonnet, roof, wings, rear bumper and spoiler resprayed in November last year so paintwork in in mint condition, I think theres about 4 stone chips on the whole of the car. Im definately not interested in selling just putting a feeler thread out there for anyone intersted in a swap??? LMK Couple of pics

Just to drag an old topic up, the company car insurance claim is ongoing and my renewal is coming up on the 16th July so should I wait to tell my personal car insurance there is an ongoing claim on a company car or wait to hear the outcome of the claim and if it's my fault or non fault?
