  1. LOL... Her sis-in-law said after that they've improved the local taxis around here Nice way to arrive One happy lady And later blowing out the candle
  2. I did ask if I could drive it lol..... I took my own car to town, and got things sorted at the restaurant. I just gave him the time and address..... I've already been in the Ferrari, he took me for a blast back in April/May when I went up to give it a clean
  3. I arranged a birthday celebration surprise for SWMBO, which included a meal, family, and a custom cake (all of which she had no idea about). All started by being picked up by Chris in his F430, and dropped of outside the restaurant. An amazing start to what turned out to be an amazing night! She loved the car, the meal and the cake. Such a simple thing he did, but he could have easily said no. Top bloke
  4. ...Chesterfield! What an excellent Site Admin you guys have on here! I've met Chesterfield before, but never met anyone as kind, thoughtful and awesome as him! Did me a massive favour last night, and I am very grateful! Cheers again fella! The world needs more people like you!
  5. what you have to think, is that one of Paul Daltons details he charged £7,000-£7,500 on a Phantom (IIRC). The owner thought the only way to restore the car was with a re-spray, and RR wanted £35k to spray the car, so Paul's quote of £7k(ish) was far far cheaper. As for these £8k waxes etc, yes they are refillable for life, at £500 a pop for "shipping and insurance". I have a tub of Zymol, and it is a very nice experience applying it. Never tried anything worth more than £200 yet though
  6. thanks for the welcome guys.... neilp: TBH, I'm not on here looking for work, or touting for work. I've just come on to say thanks to the comments regarding the Ferrari detail. But who knows, if there's demand within the area (not sure what detailers you have on here already - and I don't wanna tread on anyone's toes), then I may look at/ask about becoming a trader
  7. Well, after all, they are designed to be driven! And driven hard for that matter
  8. bloody hell.... you guys don't hang around with the replies on here
  9. Hi guys, No prizes for guessing my name. Thought I would sign up on here as I saw a link to one of my details had been posted up, and answer any questions regarding it. In case you're unsure, I detailed Chesterfield's Ferrari, and was a great pleasure. Anyway, I'm from Chesterfield (about 10mins from Chesterfield - the admin dude - and also from the town ). I drive a Mk3 Ibiza Cupra, but have always liked the 350Zs ever since they first came out.... Well, that's my intro.... Mat
  10. looks like he had St George's flag up
  11. schweet..... sorted.... Cheers guys
  12. can't rememer.... I think it was the Union Jack IIRC.... What being the Royal Wedding the day before
  13. right, just got to check the "about" page, and it started scanning for an update automatically (probably the one I've been ignoring).... Let's see if that fixes it (it was showing as FF4.0) edit... the update put me on to 4.0.1 and still doesn't work
  14. the thread has been removed now from DW.... for those who haven't seen it, you can catch them here: Ferrari F430 Nissan 350Z
  15. Hi all, Yes, I know I'm new here. It's taken me 3-4 days to register due to the form continually saying it was invalid. So, I switched from FF4 on my laptop to IE on our lasses netbook, and that let me sign in. Anyway, just got home, and tried logging in via FF4. It accepts the username and password, but then loads the forum index without me being logged in. I'm now logged in via IE8 (which I'm not keen on).... Oh, could someone also change my username to -Mat- also.... Cheers
