  1. Gorseinon is pretty convenient, just off the Penllergaer junction, quite a few restaurants, lots of parking, easy to get to and go from.

As for driving roads Brecon is great, the A4069 from Llangadog over the Black Mountain to Brynamman is spectacular too, could work that into a loop quite easily.

  2. Nope! No Nankangs.

I've had loads of different tyres and wheels on the 200 sx too, what tends to work well on one tends to work on the other, similar overall weight balance I think, albeit less weight and a much spikier torque delivery from the turbo.

  3. I really don't rate the 3 stage Meguiars 3 stage system, not least the 3rd step wax which lacks durability and is frankly a waste of time. Autoglym's Super Resin Polish although just one product is an all in one which cleans, shines and protects, plus is probably the best filling product on the market. It is also more durable than the 3rd step wax by itself.

It also works well below most waxes and sealants extending their durability. If purchasing from only Halfrauds, I'd be getting the Farecla G3 clay mitt, Autoglym Body conditioning Shampoo, Farecla G3 applicator pads. As for the last stage product (LSP) nothing from the Meguiars range actually lasts that long from there, Autoglym's Extra gloss protection is good but fussy and takes ages, HD wax is expensive. I like the Farecla wax and Turtlewax's Extra Gloss Sealer Wax shock is like Autoglym's, but less fussy and just as long lasting.

  4. Another great test and I concur with your recommendation of FK1000p. It's what I've been using for the last couple of years. Its also good on the rest of the car too, what's there not to like?!

  5. I'd agree, there's seems to be an issue that you need to address. Masking the problem will probably just exacerbate the problem in the longer term.

  6. Good tests. Despite the clinginess of BSD I think its a brilliant product, less a QD and more a spray sealant. It's a beader for sure, it has ridiculous water behaviour. What I like about it is how clean it leaves my car in between washes and how easy to clean it is at wash time. Some BH autofoam and a rinse and that will pretty much do it.

I do like the C2v3 too but prefer BSD, I find it more durable and dirt repellant.

  7. Megs Nxt wax is nowhere near as good as purple haze. Anyway, the finished look of the car comes 95% from the prep so a good polish and even a glaze if you're gonna continue with purple haze will work wonders. Megs #7 or Clearkote Red Moose Glaze under the wax will add wetness.

  8. Educated reasoning taking into account tyres used on the Zed, other cars and reviews and of course price.

So what have you used on the Zed then? Last count Ive had NS2, T1S, Pirelli Zero Rosso, RE040, T1R, FK453, FK452, Vredestein, RE050 and MPSS on mine and thats not a random order BTW ;)

And out of those, I'd pick MPSS to be the best. Am I right?

    Cool.

I've tried FK452, Bridgestone SE03, Bridgestone RE01 (albeit on different wheels) and RE050 (on a different Zed) oh and of course the F1 AS2's.

I didn't rate the FK452's the RE01's are brilliant in the dry, the RE050's are ok and the F1's are really very good indeed.

  9. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the best price to performance ratio tyre for the Zed currently is the Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2.

What else have you tried on the Zed to be able to make a statement like that?

Ive just had a count up and Ive used 9 but I wouldnt like to make an ultimate statement of whats best ..............

  10. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the best price to performance ratio tyre for the Zed currently is the Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2.

Also, Tyrereviews is a good website that collates lots of tyre tests from all sorts of places and real life testimonials too.

  11. Maybe invest in a claybar and Use the Farecla for scratch removal, if you have scratches that are visible but not too deep so as to go down to the paint. Also, the Megs cleaner wax is quite similar, but not as good as Autoglym's Polish, despite what each are called.

You need a good last stage product (LSP). As far as waxes go, Bilt hamber's Finis Wax is about as good as it gets right now. Super durable. If you prefer sealants (synthetic waxes) then Sonax are making some great products. Their Xtreme Protect & Shine Hybrid NPT is really good stuff. Otherwise I'd concur with the above

  12. This was my previous car, a 280 bhp S14a. Bloody loved it, but some bint in a Clio rear ended it. Probably for the best though, some issues were getting costly and it allowed me to get a Zed!

  13. I've had medication induced anxiety and as said before, the 3 best things for me were mindfulness, particularly breathing exercises, exercise and the gym and finally for me, golf! Even if it's just a driving range. Its so hard and you have to concentrate so much, you forget about your anxiety. Good luck with it, don't be afraid to speak to your gp, maybe even some diazepam may be useful if it becomes unmanageable in the short term.

  14. The 350z is better than the Z4 3.0 BUT the Z4 M is better than the 350z and the 370z to my mind. Will also hold its value better I should think.

I beg to differ. The two cars are essentially the same. Having test driven both, the only glaring difference is the fixed roof and the marginal 0.2 increase. The straight 6 still delivers a top speed of 155, but with a 0.5 reduction in 0-60 time. The preference between the two extends only as far as which do you prefer - The added extras afforded by the M package, or not. Either way, both are in a different league to the 350z, and I feel no shame in saying I adored my 350z.

It's not just about the stats. The M car is better to drive in so many little extra ways over the 3.0, it makes it far more visceral, alive and less sterile. The 3.0si is nice, but pretty safe, boring even and thats what the Zed has over it.

  15. Mine fail, but that was with the old exhaust which must have had a leak for a while which would explain the EML being triggered frequently. Since the Invidia was put on it doesn't come on. That may mean that the measurement loop will work better, I don't know. Either way, I've still got my old cats which I put in the boot and the garage swap it for me and swap it back. Costs a bit more but worth it.

May just get some silenced decats and be done with it!
