  1. I would if I was planning on keeping it much longer. But for selling it I reckon it'll be easier with something stock sounding. If anyone has any idea of the price of the OEM system let me know! But hopefully a weld will be sufficient!
  2. And cheers for the Cobra advice too, that's the one I'd seen earlier but couldn't find again! My first hope is for just a weld job but will definitely keep this in mind! Thanks again mate
  3. Yeah, I'm always wary of eBay for car parts! Will keep the Scorpion in mind, although judging from YouTube videos I may stick with something more OEM sounding for selling it! Cheers
  4. I should add that my exhaust has split just in front of the back box (seems the common problem area) and that I'm just looking for something that fits existing brackets and with similar tips to the OEM. So even something similar to OEM provided it's not more expensive!
  5. Been looking through the forum at all the options guys. My OEM exhaust has just given up but since I'm looking at selling the car soon I'm thinking about replacing it with another OEM. Had a quick look online but can't find a price - has anyone got any idea? Also, how does this compare to the OEM one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-350Z-I ... 483b8a2ac9
  6. From what I understand of your post you're looking for the part I posted a link to directly above your initial post. This rubber plug pushes into the hole in the underside of the strut and it has an internal thread, so when you screw into it the plug expands to stay in the hole. (Like a rawlplug for a wall, hence the name rawlnut) Sorry if I've misunderstood you completely, if I have then just ignore me! Watshot's solution seems great though, I might be tempted to attempt that on mine!
  7. Haha! Yeah I found a supplier just after I'd posted on this thread so i posted it on the other thread for anyone else who's looking. Forgot to come back here to say I'd found some! Cheers for the help anyway!
  8. Sorry for the slow reply, but thanks guys. I can't for the life of me remember if its RE040s or RE050s I'm running, and I'm too lazy to go out and check tonight. I'll bear it in mind though!
  9. Haha! You can now edit your thread title to remove the part about being after drysdale and myself in the list! PS - If you get one second hand ask if it comes with the rawlnuts which you use to screw into the underside of the strut bar - mine didn't so I had to source some today. Have ordered something which apparently works but will have to wait for it to arrive to find out for certain - had to buy a pack of 50 of them so if you need any let me know, I'll send you a few for free
  10. My 04 JDM Zed doesn't have threaded holes for the tonneau - a brand new tonneau cover comes with 2 rawlnuts which you use to screw into. These sit in the holes left by the removal of the 2 hooks on the underside of the crossbar. I bought mine second hand so was missing these rawlnuts but a quick search on google found these for me, as suggested by a member of another 350Z forum http://www.toolfastdirect.co.uk/acatalog/Rawlnuts.html It's the M4 x 11 (0-2mm) ones apparently They only come in packs of 50, and I've just ordered mine today, so I'm not certain if they work yet, but a few people on the other forum said they work well.
  11. I've also got one now so good luck with the search! Thanks to everyone for their help!
  12. Now got one, so this thread can now be locked/closed. Thanks to everyone for their help!!!
  13. How easy was it to get the rawlnuts mate? Just got a tonneau cover and, like you, need to get hold of some
  14. I'm still after one mate so definitely interested. Any more info on the condition and price?
  15. Looking for some help about sound deadening. I've been reading various reports on various websites and forums about it but could do with some more advice. I'm basically looking to reduce the road noise from the rear of the car. I'm currently searching for a tonneau cover to help, but I'm also looking at maybe putting a deadening layer around the spare wheel bay and on the rest of the boot floor. I keep reading about Dynamat and Dynamat Extreme, but does anyone else have any other alternative suggestions? I'm not necessarily needing top-notch stuff at huge prices, just something reduce the sound from the rear to let me hear music and the engine better! My other requirement would be that the material isn't too thick. And also, roughly what surface area would I be looking to cover?
  16. Item sold to JackStrong. Can the mods now close this thread
  17. Thanks for the offer, but I'm not wanting audio equipment. Need something easily removable and TBH the BOSE setup is fine for my needs. Cheers anyway and good luck selling it!
  18. Looking for an OEM vertical tonneau cover for my Zed (strut to floor version)
  19. All very true. I'd consider buying a car in that condition from someone who was honest enough about every fault it had. I just get the impression (based purely on what I can tell from the advert) that he's not been totally honest about it all. Little things like the broom handle holding up the boot and the cubby lid etc should all be mentioned and photographed clearly IMO. As I said though, if travelling isn't an issue, go for it. Maybe try and check out some others en route to make the trip more worthwhile! Good luck either way!
  20. Would the other option be to free Nurrish's unit from the surround and fit to the non-motorised unit? Guessing that would be easier...
  21. Brilliant, cheers. I came across this not long after posting pm'ing you, I'll pass the info on to the interested party
