  1. Probably, as not everyone is academic and or literate. Then you have to consider age, as with txtspk, that's the language of the young now, or at least it's becoming their written "speak".

Having written reports and documents for years in a military environment, JSP 101 was my bible (those in the military will recognise this document), where if there wasn't two spaces after a full stop or a space after a comma, would drive me into purple, perplexed maniac when red penning reports and documents  .

Paragraphs that are too large drive me bonkers as well. Paragraphs should just be two or three well constructed and legible sentences and no more. More in a paragraph just makes me "scan" read and not take anything in.

Then there is paragraph numbering and lettering........................................................I could go on, but in conclusion, just because spelling and grammar are bad, doesn't mean the writer is a twit, just not as adept at the written word.

You're just getting old, old chap

That was a blast from the past I remember the JSP 385 always loved "Army, Navy, Air Force (delete where applicable)"

My favourite for bad grammar and the like has to be the emails I get supposedly from my bank telling me that -

"For your security, we have temporary suspended you account"

Now I'm not going to bank with you if that is the best you can manage!

  2. You have to lie very very still and think of anything to take your mind of the big white humming machine that they are inserting you in to!

On the plus side it doesn't hurt and an MRI is an amazing piece of kit!

Good luck hope it all turns out well

  3. Why did you get an advisory for non standard wheels and tyres

I'm not too sure mate, There was a rub mark on one wheel from the arch he just said he was putting it down because they were "summer track tyres and had some small marks" he did also say they were perfectly legal and nothing to worry about - I think hes covering himself in case anything happens, can't say I mind he's a nice bloke and let me wander around and under the Zed while it was on the ramp he also gave everything a quick once over for me and even adjusted the headlights as they were a little low.

  4. whats the next mod? I would get rid of the utec and get an uprev tune

Enquires have already been made about that :)

Also contemplating a few other things although I may have to restrain myself for a month or so :surrender: but I really want to get some drive time in.

In for MOT today mechanically it was spot on Steady had supplied 2 new rear drop links as he thought they would need replacing for the MOT (Top Bloke  ) but it only had 3 advisories from the MOT it failed on emissions but it was late tonight we had just fitted the high flow cats and the feeling is that with the cats warmed up properly it will pass , if not I have a nice new set of Berks HFC's to bolt on.

    Advisories were

    1. Non standard size wheels fitted.

    2. Non standard size tyres fitted.

    3. Rear drop link (not failed but advised only)

The best bit was the brakes - he wouldn't put it on the rollers because of the diff so he used a decelerometer when I asked how they were he said it read 100% B)

I'll let you know how it goes.
