You obviously don't do Insurance quotes Pete do you, 3 years ago 1 x Rays alloy + tyre was £1,200 alone

Wheel looks Ok to me.

Agreed about the wheel if its new as mine was £1130 when insurance paid.

There was another full set with tyres on flebay for £250 last week.

Those prices are all for DIY

It should never be your own car. The point of the thread is cars that have inspired you to build your car.

No they don't stop working when a new one comes out.

I can understand a copy failing as I had one do that to me.

Can I suggest that you 1st put the OEM one in and then go to info and scroll down to "About" or Map version.

If the writing does not show anything then there may be a loose connection.

But b4 you go ripping stuff out put a cleaning disc direct into the map CD housing behind the drivers seat,

I really need to see it myself as I am sure its something quite simple.

If your like me you want it to work.

Not go and buy something completely different.

When mine system threw a wobbly with the bluetooth. I missed it like heck. Girnet came and sorted it .

Anyway try that out 1st.

Just get a new one, for what they cost it's not worth the hassle IMHO.

The Turbosmart that the system is plumbed in for is over £200 Dan.

But agreed if damaged, exchange like I did.

Mine had some white chalky stuff when I 1st took it off back last year.

That's when I found out that the spring was cut in half and the rubber o ring was chuffed over and stopping the piston from working properly.

Anyway as you know I just bought a duel port so I can get some whoosh.

I still retain the plumb back, but I also get atmospheric so it makes a fantastic sound.

Jezz thought there may be drivability issues but thus far non whatsoever.

The ITG Maxadon air filter and the new BOV or BPV whatever works fantastic and the car has never been so "Alive"

I may blank off the plumb back altogether just to see what happens with both ports dumping into the atmosphere.

Whilst we are on the subject of GTM I noticed my supercharger oil tank very low!

I don't have any leaks so I topped it up with some I had left.

I just went on-line to hunt down some more fluid as according to Rotrex it should be changed every 20k.

But wanted some for top up.

On the bottle it has Castrol Rotrex SX100.

Well I could not find any in UK.

So I went hunting worldwide and found out it's been superseded by Rotrex SX150 PART NUMBER 1LTPUEVR68S

Sit down when you look up the price. £111.60 is the cheapest going up to £140.

Ebay UK is £114 plus postage!

Yes I've had mine out and dyed them frost to match my seats. Dead easy .... Once the door card is off , you just unscrew it .... There are about 15 from memory . Then you can slip it out of place from behind .

Okay so after trying to get the best balance between value and performance I've put this shopping list together:

 

2 x silolene brake fluid

Hel brake lines

DS2500 Front and Rear

EBC Ultimax Front and Rear

Yes go for it before you get information overload.

Disks , pads and braided hoses with a high quality fluid and they'll perform brilliantly, I love my setup.

I got my Discs from Alex and can't remember the name plus Ferodo DS2500.

They made a noticeable improvement.

However now I have a Supercharger I need a Big Brake Set.

Still waiting for my HEL lines to be fitted Keyser/Buster.

I have experimented with other pads like Pagid and Yellow Stuff but soon put the DS2500's back in.

Find out from other people who have tried different pads and see what they say.

I believe when heated seats 1st came out you could not get them with leather seats due to the heat drying out, cracking and shrinking the leather.

After some annoyance from the leather seat brigade, a protective layer was put around the element with a cut out switch at about 20 mins.

Certainly where Nissans are concerned my Nissan Patrol and 2 pathfinders had a 20 min cut out.

Maybe that's how long it took the seats to reach the temp.

Very similar to the heated back screen and mirrors, they cut out after about 20mins.

I used there Watford branch a lot when I had my narrowboat.

They are good but prices are treble anyone else

This kit had teething troubles and GTM are notorious bad people to deal with.
