  1. why is everyone being so negative! its not our problem if he cant run it, he hasnt even mentioned not being able to run or maintain it he just asked what went wrong on them!

buy one mate you'll love it!!

those links you sent look like right bargains!

your budget is tight but still ok these days especially as its xmas everyone wants some cash so go get yourself a steal!

good luck and let us know how you get on mate!

  2. looks like your heart is set on the focus st then!

cant really say they are a bad car, just a lot of them about!

which isnt really a bad thing! but if you really are that set on getting a dump valve there any far cheaper options of looking like a chav boy racer lol!!!!

only kidding - your car your choice!

really you need a sc z with a bypass valve ;)

  3. go get a test drive in the 3mps! then you will see how much quicker they are!

i know they look bland standard, but you did say you were going to be modding it, and if you get one with an aero kit, and stick some rx8 18s on them, they begin to look alot sportier!

what other options you been looking at?

  4. you considered a mazda3mps

friend has one its 260 standard!

got the 2.3 lump in it so bag loads of torque and the turbo on boost is awesome! you dont see many of them about either so will be a nice surprise for someone in an ST who thinks they are just about to blow you away in your 1.6 NA mazda3 hatch

think you can pick them up fairly cheap now and being jap they are reliable as hell!

biased choice for me though would be another astra vxr, so much quicker than the ST but then if your tuning it then it doenst matter too much i suppose!

  5. I bought it today, im up to 149th place after a short while of playing it, first time iv played my PS3 this year!

Just simply havent had the time!

Does anyone know of any racing games that are like NSF Underground and NSFU2 cause I think that was the best racing/tuning/modifying car game I have ever played or come accross!

Came out when I was in year 8/9 iirc and I didnt stop playing it! Tempted to buy it and play on my PS3 now haha

  6. well if you get 4 axle stands, you can just go around jack it up, put axle stand under, then do the other 3 points, it will only be about 1ft off the ground but its better than nothing!

it is just easier when checking for leaks or wear etc!

plus im really fussy with mine i like to be able to see everything even if i dont need to i will have to check it!

  7. good work! can use that money for xmas shopping now haha :thumbs:

only thing is, if your not getting the car up in the air, how are you checking the suspension for play, ball joints, droplinks etc.

unless you just wait for it to be picked up during MOT time and get it all fixed up then!

definetly good to save yourself some cash, just cant really give it a thorough check on a drive, unless you have 4 jacks, then i stand corrected lol! :boat:

  8. mega - the trouble is with all these plug ins is that they are oversized to ensure they dont fall out, what happens is that when you push it in the two prongs in the cigar lighter are pushed outwards and sometimes short out on another part of the cigar lighter, this of course blowing your fuse.

if you look down there you will see the prongs will be sat flush, when in actual fact they should stick out very slightly to make connection for the cigar lighter insert when you wish to light a cigarette. you can do this with a plastic trim tool, just bend them back slightly and then replace the fuse and it will be working all good again.

the cigar lighter is actually designed for that reason, all these plug ins we buy are 'extras' that go beyond the intended purpose of the socket.

i see this problem day in day out its a bloody pain in the **** but at least its easily resolved
