  11. 2 questions 1 more important than the other ........... you choose 1. why wrap the pipes - what does that do ? 2. did you give him flowers, like I did for you ? 1. They'll get really hot and burn everything around potentially. Also, helps running cooler, so more power. 2. No, it was just that... Couldn't have any wild flowers in the industrial estate were RTP is

  14. What a cracking weekend we had, as usual with lots of fun, banter, food and drinks I'd like to thank Darren, Mike and Modjo for the great efforts they've put into it. It just goes to show what a great community we have on here, with people willing to help no matter what distance they have to travel and how many hours to work. Love you, guys, really! Also many thanks to Taras @ RT-Performance for allowing us to use the garage, ramp, tools etc one more time! You're such a great guy, Taras! I would never ever hesitate to recommend your garage, the quality of the jobs you do on the cars we keep seeing in your garage is absolutely spotless. Not too long from now I'll buy a 240z and let you guys restore it to the high quality standard you deal with. Can't wait! So a big THANK YOU to everybody involved!
  15. Day 2: We started draining all fluids so we can relocate the oil cooler and change the sump to the GReddy one. Oil lines fed into the snails Fuel Return line heat wrapped to protect it Some improvised tool to hold the manifold while we were tightening the bolts Time for some F1 British Grand Prix updates: ... and some Wimbledon 2014 tennis updates, too Quick food and drinks, before going back for some more work Time to test-fit the intercooler Wastegate all ready to be fitted  The MAF sensors moved from the old Stillen Gen 3 intake pipes to the GReddy pipes: Driver side all sorted: We left RT-Performance at 2am, wrecked, aching and tired like hell
  16. Well, by noon we had the first decision regarding the fitting: Is not going to fit as the steering rack is in the way, therefore, sell the twin turbo kit in the EU or US, strip the car, sell the parts, sell the car and get a GT-R. Luckly, Mike saw our check in at RT Performance on Facebook and offer himself to come give us a hand. Not only that, but he came up with a brilliant idea of how to make the kit fit so we start testing his idea: With a bit of fabrication from Darren, we've made some spacers for the steering so we can try Mike's idea aaaaaaand, Mike's idea was great, it worked!!! The blower fitted perfectly, without touching the steering rack. So we decided to start fitting the kit on the car, properly, by the book Very unlike to what we do, scrapping the manual as soon as we open the boxes So we removed all the manifold studs on both sides and put the new studs in A little love story developing right there, can you tell? some WorldCup updates also available via Darren's MacBook and some more wrapping We left from RT-Peformance on Saturday 5:30 am, after nearly 24 hours of continuos work for a quick shower and power nap of 4 hours.
  17. Where do I start this update?... Day 1: Saturday morning, as early as 6:30am we've started test-fitting the GReddy Twin-Turbo kit, Darren, Modjo and myself. First a short inventory of the items we had: Car up on the ramp to start striping the front end: Darren then started wrapping the manifolds, down pipes and wastegate pipes: while I've stripped... the front end Test fitting the CJM custom fuel rails: Some banter, as usual, although Bennett wasn't there, so we were way toooooo moderated Planning the extra fittings necessary for the CJM stage 0 fuel return system to fit with the new fuel rails and also make it Stage 1 Test fitting the new manifolds: You can see the steering rack in the way, which was our main concern that the kit won't fit... Old vs new :
  18. Guys, A friend of mine is organising a very nice event in Romania, which will cover one of the nicest roads in the world, Transalpina. Here is a photo of the road: But there's a lot more to that: - Accommodation in hotels of minimum 4* - Exclusive parties every night, glamorous party at Cantacuzino Castle - At least breakfast and dinner provided throughout the event - Competition on the Speed Park racing circuit which continues in the dark - Awards and promotional unique equipment designed by consecrated professionals who worked for Pagani, Formula 1, McLaren. - Vehicle wash followed by applying professional stickers - The opportunity to have privately desired sponsors on the exterior design, in addition to official Ace Parade sponsors and partners. - Medical team and security throughout the event - Permanent assistance 24h/24h - DJ team throughout the event - An unforgettable and unique experience! More details available on the website, there is an English version, of course. The company is registered in the UK, so you get a proper invoice for it. You're also allowed to get your own sponsors eg: Abbey, Tarmac, HDev, CS, Clarks etc. http://www.aceparade.com The nicest part of it is the discount offered to us: Normal price - £665 Discounted price for June (nearly gone, I know) - £615 Price of us £585 Start: Wednesday, September 10, 2014 Location: Bucharest, Romania End: Sunday, September 14, 2014 Location : Bacau, Romania Some more details here: I'll be doing this and I think there are a few others interested as well, so if you're up for it, feel free to ask for more details. There is an option to transfer your car in Romania at an approximate cost of £400-£500 return, if we can get about 8-9 cars with a professional British transportation company, this way you could save on fuel, hotels and food costs, just fly to Bucharest, collect your car and enjoy the ride, then fly back home. Let me know if you're interested as soon as possible. Thanks, Adrian
