  1. If you have just bought it it's probably the horrible oily tyre black stuff the dealers put on the tyres flinging onto the wheels. You can see if this is the case by wiping your finger over the tyre - if it comes off oily and black you have found the culprit. It is a right bastard to get off too but a neat degreaser will do it.
  2. The driver's door handle is really easily scratched as it has a thin rubber coating over white plastic - I am really careful and have owned mine for two weeks, and have scratched it twice (oops). The slidey door thing over the cup holder seems similarly prone but not quite as bad. Not quite sure what you mean about the tyres but you can't swap the fronts to the back because they are different sizes.
  3. To add to this post - if you have a 2006+ model with the nav control "joystick" in the middle of the button panel, you need to remove a small piece of trim (pops up, use a nylon tool to do this) between the screen and the button panel first, which reveals two screws. The front of it then pops out as normal and you can lift it out, revealing the two screws holding the console in.
  4. Ill take this for asking - pmed.
  5. I am after a vertical tonneau (preferably OEM) for my 2008 Coupe. If anyone has one for sale let me know! Ta Mike
  6. I have searched around and haven't managed to find any answers to the question at the end of this post so apologies it is staring me in the face! I have a 313 07 GT Roadster with factory sat nav and Nissan/Bose audio. I want to get rid of the factory navigation, replace it with the factory cubby hole, and replace the head unit while keeping the speakers and amps. I think I know what I need to replace the head unit: New head unit PAC ROEMNIS2 audio interface Fascia adapter Steering wheel controls adapter I haven't managed to find out whether I can just pull the factory navigation and replace it with an OEM 06+ cubby hole/door, I have found loads of such things for the 03-05 model but not for the facelift. Can I do this with the center panel I have or will it need replacement of the lot?
  7. I have a 57 plate 313 Roadster and it doesn't play MP3 from CDs, so I'll be doing the aux in mod soon.
  8. Updated the first post as I picked it up today!
  9. Well I did the deal on the 57 plate car today - all looks well and they are sorting the roof out for me. It seems to have RE050A tyres on the back and RE040 tyres on the front which is the same setup as I have had on previous cars and they have plenty of meat on them, as well as some nice Rays alloys and sat nav which doesn't look as terrible as most built in efforts - I'll be looking to do the tape player/line in mod ASAP though. I checked the roof stitching and no signs of splitting there - thanks for the heads up on that one. The gearknob is all mashed up which was common to all 350Zs I have looked at, so I already have sights set on a nice black aluminium Nismo one. Similarly the locator pin where the doors meet the bodywork had surface rust on all of the cars so some silicon spray will be applied ASAP, I guess they forgot to paint that bit. All being well I collect on Friday - thanks again for all the advice etc!
  10. Thanks all for the welcome and advice. The car will have a nissan warranty which covers the mechanical parts of the roof but not the fabric so i will check the stitching. One of the cars had the roof light flashing throughout the test drive, the salesman mentioned that this was due to having had a flat battery and needing to reset the mechanism but i have heard that one before and nothing is mentioned about needing to do that in the manual. Off out again today to look at some more!
  11. Update - Have Bought! Picked up my Z today and noticed that I have a bulging bonnet so the DVLA etc weren't all lying when they said it was a 313. Pic: I almost didn't go to see it at all as the dealer had a pic of a pre facelift on the website, oh well! The roof has gone up and down fine several times but the handle seems to be a bit picky about acknowledging when the roof is "closed" - you have to really push it in to make the flashy light go out. Also found that second gear is a bit notchy at high revs so will keep an eye on that. Annoyingly the Bose 6 CD thing appears to ignore my MP3 CDs so I'll be doing the line in mod ASAP. Otherwise gave it a good clean up and it looks very tidy indeed!
