If you head to Waxamomo's page they have some crazy savings on Wolfs and Megs...
Heads up - when it is gone, it is gone.
And I've placed my order already, lol

Well, it is too wet for a detail but treated my helmets visor to a layer for my kart day at Buckmore park tomorrow
-
Autobrite stuff arrived today so will post a review to see how it compares to g1
-
Cost aside, whats the difference ? Longevity?

Cheers mate

Hi guys
I need to get them replaced soon
Are these the right bit of kit?
Thanks
Rob

Never used these on a Zed but ran them on the Focus RS and Racing Puma and, noise aside, loved them.

I've just ordered some Autobrite Hellshine GhostRider - will be interesting to see how this compares to the G1 or G5 classics

Wooly Mammoth is a drying towel not a mitt.
Think he means Yeti's fist etc. I stick mine in the washing machine with my microfibers and haven't had a problem with it, I do have to brush it but that takes a minute or so, even if that means I can wash the car 5 times more without having to polish the swirls out I'm probably still saving time compared with the time taken polishing.
Indeed I did.
Always get my wookies and mammoths mixed up....

I have a Nomad portable pressure washer, which is brilliant

You can do your car in one trip (I live in a flat) and the pressure is like a decent pressure garden hose, which is fine for me

If you use a sponge after the snowfoam, you might as well use a sandblaster
Getting a bit confused. I've been cleaning cars for decades and have always used a sponge!. Am I risking the paint work then or not in your opinions? What I tend to do is this; Using my jet washer I soak the entire car with water and remove loose dirt with the lance. Then I use a snow foam all over the vehicle. Rinse off, followed by going over the whole car with a sponge using the two bucket method ~ one with soap/warm water & the other to clean the sponge. Then I use a chamois clothe to dry the whole car. Opinions please, thanks.I will be contentious ...
1) sponges are fine, I use them and prefer them to sheepskin mitts, which get clogged and is high maintence
2) snow foam, for me, is a detailing placebo. I've tried all the foams and now believe that a decent apc, appropriately diluted, is more effective at actually pre cleaning.
I do still use it, mainly in the underside of the car and the arches, purely due to cling... But mixed with apc
Some people think sponges cause swirls. The reality is any poor technique will... the preferred sponge type to closed cell sponge, like a grout sponge, as the dirt doesn't get trapped in it.
My comment re the sheep skin mitt (e.g. wolly mammoth et al) is that they need brushing and drying properly otherwise the get hard and harbour bits of dirt which cause swirls.
I've now settled on a Microfibre Madness Incredimitt, which I think is the best bit of kit now. Mitt convenience, but machine washable and non of the downsides of real wool

Does the right side have either Dodo or Jetseal on it? Looks like hardly any protection!
I think you need to read the post a bit closer....
Sorry dude I did read it just really surprised that after 2 weeks there is little evidence of protection, especially if Jetseal was on there. When detailingworld did a 'mega' wax and sealant test, JS109 lasted months. Just surprised.
Have a sample of this stuff to try, so now I will

I like Supernatural Hybrid or Britemax Vantage
-
Which half is which? Left side is beading well but the right isn't looking too hot
-
Tyromania, from my experience, is matt compared to Meg's Gel

My clutch is doing my head in at the moment.
Lumpy and jumpy, hard to pull away too. Starting to wonder if I need a new one...

Go for products made from vinyl wrap, such as

If anyone has any service issues (or royal mail issues) give Richard @ Waxybox an email and he will sort it out straight away
I had something not turn up - replacement sent straight away

This is the stuff. Name change, same stuff

How dirty are we talking mate? You can also use an extraction cleaner (like a vax) but I would only recommend this if they're filthy or stink
Brisk foam is very, very good
-
Leather or cloth?
If leather, use a magic sponge and leather cleaner - will nicely remove all the gunk. Most will do but I use Zaino or Britemax.
There's mixed views as whether you should use a leather 'feed' product on modern leather - but I'm sure some of the leather experts will be along soon.
If cloth, use a foam cleaner - like Autosmart Brisk Foam - and rub in with a mf cloth. Then seal with a fabric protector a la Gtechniq or Scotchguard

Decent box....!
Any golden tickets or bigger wax runner up prizes... (I got the latter...)

Love the Meg's but try Ultima tyre and trim sealant too
Amazing finish and super durable
