  1. haha yi supermarkets im a bit skeptical about. agree about the looking back but you guys must of lost pounds in sweating alone, worrying about the chav parking next to yours. lol cheers for the comments guys, i will have a look at the clutch noise when i get the car looked at with my mechanic. at present im loving it, will do some miles this weekend. 1 reverse light????????......some people just look for negatives haha.
  2. i bull you not! i most of looked out the window about 3 times when writing that, make sure all is sound lol
  3. Hi guys, I’ve finally gone and bought one! I’ve been on here researching, reading up over and over again, looking on the web like you do, gone to view a few. finally went looking at one last Sat....made my mind up there and then and picked it up today. The car: Black ’07 new shape 350Z (313) The usual GT spec (that sat nav is top......or is it because I’ve had my navman a bought 6 yrs lol) White leather seats 24K miles Rays – not a scratch Mint through out P2 Service and 4 new Bridgestone tires 1K miles ago 6 months tax and a full tank of fuel Tracker – yet to register An absolute mint valet, under bonnet looks amazing, show room worthy....well the whole car is actually. I’ve done 100 miles today and have a couple of questions as a 350 newbie: • Clutch - Firstly the clutch. When the clutch is engaged there is a slight noise, is the clutch very tight next to the fly on these or is there something I should be checking out here. • Gearing - Now this may be me not used to the car but on setting off and gearing from 1st to second do many off you find it jumpy (thinks that the best word). • Fuel – I travelled a lot on the motorway coming back but manage to get the mpg reading up to 32! Then only after about 15K miles of round town driving its now at 22 lol! • Do you grin when you walk up to your car • Do you grin when you start up • Do you grin when you put your foot down Power delivery is smooth throughout, engine seems to be ticking nicely but it should really after only 24K. Pulls well in all gears, haven’t thrashed it. Don’t think you really need to lol. Going to have my mechanic have a good nosey at it, peace of mind more than anything. I do have the usual 3 month warranty. Anyway I am hoping to get a lot of fun out of it because all being well I hope to keep it for a good no. Of years. ..........cost dependant! Lol. Will be around on here as well. Cheers guys, comments/opinions/advice all welcome. Few pics I took last Sat, can add more if anyones interested, no probs:
  4. yi im same, service what i can or if im being lazy i will give it to somone i trust and can stamp it. i know of people who service their own cars and manage to get it stamped anyway, friend of a friend and all that....so yi stamps look good but do they really mean anything. and as far as the references to this mr joe bloggs...........he aint looking for a 3.5L V6, 300bhp fun house lol! good to hear everyones opinions on this, cheers
  5. do all of you Z owners take your 350's to a mechanic to get it serviced? none of you carry out servicing yourself? or are you all just paying for a dealers stamp? understandable. on reading this forum it seems that there is no majour work to be done. oil/fluid levels etc, all of which with a very basic knowledge of car maintinance you could carry out yourself. going to do some more reading before asking away, i want to know the P1,P2,P3 differences and at what years/milages things need to be done.
  6. as im looking for a z im looking for the best insurance deal to. Admiral has come up cheapest on all the comparison sites ive tried, and its probably the most talked about on here. i altered the milage a bit and saw minimal effect, but cheaper all the same. now the best bit....i added not only my mum, but my dad to and potentially saved over £500!!!! and i know when i phone Admiral i will get it even cheaper, as what alot of price comparison sites dont allow for is the different insurances maximum voluntary excess. the quote i got inc £600 voluntary excess (maximum!)... WRONG! Admiral is actual a £1000 max. so that option will shave some of the cost off, and Admiral also do a '10 month excellarator bonus' which saves even more pennies. and you get 20% off your next MOT, happy days Z ppl! im loving it and i dont have a Z........YET!!! is anyone actually insured with Adrian flux on here? i was quoted just over £4K to insure a 2004 350Z, and thats standard! iv been with them for about 4 years now and they have been great on the costs so far, multicar and modified vehicle also.....soon as i said im changing a vehicle they hit me with £that£!!!!
  7. Thanks for the replies guys, feeling welcomed already. im hunting around as i type lol! might be asking alot of questions though before i go ahead with a purchase...not like im buying a £300 1L astra! am i better asking in here or making new topics in the relevent sections.....will do alot of reading though 1st, seems to be a wealth of knowledge on here.
  8. Hi guys thought i would say hi. site looks good guys, seems pritty active. hope to spending some time on it. sorry to disapoint but im currently looking around for a 350Z at the mo....but my heads in bits as to which model/year is the best to get and how much i should be paying. i have looked at other performance machines....dont laugh.....RX8, STI, GTI, TDI, but keep coming back to a 350Z. ive looked at a 59K '06 GT import, black with orange seats and a plain UK black one at 29K same year both at £12,999. i was looking at the 2007 model as it has the 80% overhaul with the engine so that keeps swaying me, but theres the extra £200+ on the tax! is the extra cost and overall change in this model really worth it. i enjoy modifying cars especially were engines and power are involved, but from what i can tell the 350Z doesnt need much doing at it, havnt had a test ride yet lol! any help to get my mind a bit clearer would be great. will be looking at the site till then. cheers guys, Jaxx (Chris)
