  1. Not for me tbh, I'm not mad keen on carbon fibre wraps(dinoc) though anyways, proper carbon though.... I'd still go with colour coded though. I'll definitely go for the colour coded option, I just need to sort out when to get the car into the bodyshop!
  2. To be fair that was my original choice! But I was told the polished lip would corrode over the winter months due to road grit? Did yours stay in good condition? I'm really spoilt for choice! I'm running out of time Nah, tbh, i'm having more problems with tar spots in the rears I just found you had to keep on top of it in winter, which, can be a bit... fun Basically, I was rinsing the wheels with distilled water after driving in the salt and giving them a wash with optimum no rinse a few times a week, waxing every week and they also had gtechnic c5 on them. I may go for some winter wheels just to not be faffing with that this year I don't think you'll have that much of a problem as there really isn't much lip to the rays, it's when they get a bit large in the back, it starts to have a bit of a tumble dryer effect. Sounds like hard work!! But yeah that's true...the dish on the RAYS are much shallower. I'll have to consider this option then!! Thanks for your help

  4. Do you know the paint code for the original wheel colour? Yeah my mud guards have been bugging me too!! I am going too get them sprayed when I get my front bumper done... My friend was telling me to wrap them in carbon fibre, what do you think? Thanks, Hassan
  5. Hmm...do you think the wheels look much smaller in black? Does the tyre colour look off againts the black wheels?
  6. I know who's Zed that is (not mine though, mine was at work at the time)
  7. Hi everyone! My RAYS wheels have corroded quite badly and need a refurb. I can either keep them the original colour or go for something different. I am due to get them refubished this Friday. What colour do you guys rekon I should go for? I have attached a photo of the side of my car: I appreciate your help guys! Hassan

    Pop Charger

Hi everybody, I am after a pop charger for my Zed if anyone has one knocking about? Many Thanks, Hassan
  10. The plastic panel thats part of the rear bumper above the number plate, in between the number plate and boot lid, it feels very hollow and rattles when touched/tapped. Is this normal or is it meant to be clipped to the bodywork? By the sound of it, it seems very thin depth-wise. Thanks, Hassan
  11. Hi everyone! I was considering wrapping my B-pillars in a carbon fibre vinyl wrap. Any suggestions? Where can I source good quality ones from? Will I need to remove the B-pillars to apply the vinyl? All your input is welcome. Thanks guys, Hassan

    rusty!

I took my car to Santa Pod to get my Toyosport exhaust system fitted. When they had the car on the ramp, I noticed the same thing. My car has done 44k miles so it's not far from your mileage. Maybe it's common? Mine is also a UK car so it must be... I thought UK spec'd Zed's were rust proofed?
  13. Thank you for this link, it was a great read!!
  14. Hassan, however much do Nissan charge for their V.A.T. these days do they not conform to the goverments new 20% tax??? I hope they do...or I'll be paying the trading standards a visit!!!
  15. Thanks a lot for all your input and advice! I decided to take your input on-board and not go ahead with the remap I could not risk messing my baby up!! I appreciate all your help!
  16. So basically you don't advise me to get it done by a mobile remapper? The guy is apparantly very good and is well known (forgot the company name!). He says he takes out the ECU and loads the map onto it, he's done a 350z before. It's not the normal price he is charging me, normally charges a lot more. Do I stay clear of mobile remappers for 350z's? Thanks, Hassan
  17. Hi everyone, I've just been offered a remap for £120 at work and considering whether I should go ahead with it! My car is completely standard apart from the Toyosport cat back exhaust I fitted on a few weeks ago. I just wanted to know if it's worth me carrying out a remap, as I've heard UK 350z's don't gain much from them due to the engine being N/A. All input and advice is appreciated! Many Thanks, Hassan
  18. I also forgot to ask...what's the possibility of this the Toyosport exhaust increasing/decreasing performance and fuel economy? Thanks, Hassan
  19. My Zed has 2 knobs and 2 switches on drivers seat and 1 switch and no knobs on passenger seat, it has that black lever instead... I've just looked on Pistonheads and found a GT spec Zed with alezan leather just like mine, this has only one knob on the drivers seat and it has the electrically adjustable seats feature!
  20. I appreciate your help! I could not source one, all the sellers on here didn't have any. I got a new one from Nissan for £84 including VAT (Normal dealer price: £96).
  21. Thanks for the reply My car being an ex-demo car, do you think it must have taken abuse in the first 1,800 miles whilst Nissan owned it before passing it on to my previous owner who kept it for 5 years? I'm just curious as to whether they went through the precautionary 'running-in' procedures or just let anyone just abuse it regardless of the mileage! But with regards to your explanation, it makes perfect sense!
  22. Thanks for the reply. I've always been under the impression that cars still need to be ran in! When I was speaking to some of the boys at Santa Pod, they mentioned that cars that have been driven hard from new would most likely be faster a few years down the line than a car being driven with care. That sounds like the same theory you just explained! I'm curious as to why M3's have a run-in service after like 3,000 miles You are sure lucky to own a 370z though!!!
  23. Alright lads! I was given a free brand new Toyosport exhaust system in a box with my Zed when I bought it a few weeks ago. I managed to get it fitted on! I know a few boys at Santa Pod who fitted it on for me in one of their garages there. The fitment was not perfect, one tailpipe was sitting nicely in the bumper hole and one tailpipe was like 10cm lower! The other pipe was fine though, fit perfectly! As I was at Santa Pod, the issue got rectified within 30 mins. They made a new modified mount for the pipe to fit the box. After a bit of cutting and welding etc to the mount, the box fir the pipe perfectly. However, the exhaust tips were not 100% in line with the bumper holes. After forcing the exhaust to one side when it was fitted to the car, the exhaust tips now sit perfectly in the bumper holes. The noise is just right for me, not too loud and not too subtle either. When you switch the car on, you hear the difference stright away. On idle it's about the same but when you give it some you will hear the deepness of it. People who don't know how Zed's sound would love the sound but also think its not an after market exhaust (both by looking and hearing). When you let go off the gas pedal at around the 3k revs mark, the exhaust pops...sounds amazing! I will post up some pictures and a video when I get a chance!! Thanks, Hassan
  24. Thanks for your quick reply I've seen some electric seats with 2 swivel knobs and some electric seats with just 1 swivel knob? That's why I'm curious...
