I used my work boots and there worked fine etc. Loved yesterday and did quite well killed a lot more people than killed me and we won 3 out of 5 missons so all good. Going an a weekender on the march 4th.

Had my first day airsofting yesterday near ollerton.Ache from head to toe but had an awesome day and will be investing in some proper kit.

reckon a week trip would be the most sensible option personally Im happy for cheap and cheerful but Id say either the skiwelt or soldeu as suggestions as there both good well balanced areas and not too dear. Most of france is expensive once your there but if there quite a few of us france does become a bit cheaper etc in terms of accomodation.

[Whilst you're there in the Tirol, grab yourself a mountain Tiroler Grostle.] dont forget gulasche soup and proper schnitzel as well whilst your there. I do miss grostle though

Wasso assuming we are still in the uk next year a zed ski trip sounds like a great idea maybe we should start a thread to see who would be interested and where, what sort of budget duration i.e short break or week etc? What do you reckon?

Could do a day at tamworth or castleford. both are reasonably close for us.

gated boxes are just annoying unless your used to them as most of us change diagonally so you'd end up missing gears all the time. Well i would anyhow . Had a go in a gallardo last year and kept missing gears all the time v annoying as that had a gated box.

Yep...deffo. Had a moment in our mr2 fortunately we were only doing 30ish. straightlined a r-about at the bottom of ilkeston, it was wet, 6.00 in the morning and the tyres had just been replaced. Unfortunately they muppets had fitted them the wrong way round .

Car lost it read diff heading for the central reservation, I to this day dont know how i got it to miss the central resevation and end up back on the r-about facing the wrong way where I proceeded to stall the car facing a van with three lads clapping. scared the wotsits out of me and shell. Took it to toyota thinking a suspension failure must have caused it to snap like it did.

went mental at the tyre co.....and i quote what the tyre manager said "what difference which way we fit the tyres....." my response minus the expletives..."200bhp...rear tyres.....rotational......followed by more expletives....." certainly taught me that rwd can bite and when it does it bites hard..

Ive one thing to add..................NO HELMETS= idiot. I did see worse driving of a GTR at donny a couple of years ago he managed to put it into the litter at the bottom of craners which pee'd me off a bit as I was on a good run at the time. He also forced an evo 4 off at the top of craners. He wasnt the only twit though that day as a LP560 followed closely by a new caterham undertook me at the top of craners nearly wiping me out as I was about to move over. Scared the proverbial out of me.

The gtr was funny though as he was a proper div he was complaining all day about finding stones in places......

Its whether I can convince that skiing is a good option for this year. If we do go just got to decide where to go. Soll does sound a good option though although I dont like its distant from the bottom of the mountain. Normally ski in Soldeu as it was my local resort for years (parents did live outside of toulouse) and I taught for a year between school and uni ( a long time ago now:P).

RM Knee's and general fitness plus only a week a year mean Im not quite so loony as I used to be still give it a good go though..Did a bit of off piste with ski gb guide last year which surprised me as I looked at some of the stuff and went "no way" got convinced to do it and loved it.

Will have to see if I can persuade shell and then work.

Id also say thats a v cool vid some nice powder as well.

Michelle did her knee (not a bad one) on the run down into sheffau about 5 years ago we actually ended up getting her a support in Soll ( where she then pretended her knee was fine) and I watched one of the champions league games in Soll as well. Considering doing a few days in early march its a toss up between 3/4 days sking or poss new front splitter,spoiler and skirts for the zed or possibly a magpul airsoft acr if I can persuade shell to let me .

Im tempted to go skiing and leave the zed as it is.......

Prefer elmau myself although last time we went to the skiwelt we stayed at the bottom of the lift at sheffau. Out of interest considering a 3-4day ski trip this year, who did you use and if you dont mind what did it cost you?

I can vouch for these they are spot on. Had a set on my sprint subaru for 3 seasons plus day to day driving and they were as good as the kw's and teins ove had on other previous cars.

Personally my 2 penneth focus v zed no comparison but it all depends on what you want. The zed to me looks and sounds awesome is reliable and v comfortable. Its a lardy beast and tbh is significantly under powered. (i know there are things that can be done but it really isnt a racer. As others have said its a tourer and a damn good one at that. It might not make you grin as hard as many other performance cars (particularly jap ones) but it does hold a lot of pluses. Me I miss my evo and sprint scoob but I dont miss the lack of refinement, reliability and the lack of class and soul.

So if you are after fast road driving with some track stuff and you want the car to make you grin from ear to ear from the sheer drivability/quickness of the car buy a jap turbo car i.e subaru,evo,liner. If you want a 2 seater roadster with comfort,looks,reliability and an engine noise to die for then get a zed. By the way if your comparing anything to a focus st then any of these with the addition of a decent bimmer.

Id take a s2000,rex,zed, bmw z4 and prob a dc5 for a test drive and see which one you like.
