I got myself a Porter Cable recently and whilst I wait for the remaining products I made a start on the zed.
I did the b pillars and rear lights. I also did my previous car just before I sold it. I cant wait to do the paint next week.

Rear lights.
Here is some afters of my Pulsar. Such a shame I only got it like this just before getting rid of it. I had it for four years too
Thanks for looking.

Sorry guys I didnt realise you posted in my thread .
For the wiper arms I used a drill with a wire brush on the end. It blasted through rust and bubbled paint but it can leave scoring behind so it may need smoothing out. I went to Halfords and bought their own primer and black paint (grey cans). You can use high build primer and sand smooth and the more time you take the better it will come out. Just remember to spray the nut cover caps too so it dont look out of place. Ofcourse you dont need to strip it all but just go by your own judgement. Just sand a key to good bits. You still want it to look even though. Mine are still the same condition now as when I sprayed them. I am pretty sure all the stuff you got will work no problem
With the sat nav it is Nurrish's unit and it works really well and is very clear. In all honestly I was unsure untill I just googled whether postcode search worked. I can say it does work. POI have full address and phone numbers and garages can be searched by brand. Handy for vpower devouts Search Youtube for Igo8

I am in Cwmavon. I have not seen you about. Will keep my eyes peeled. I have seen a couple about the place now. A black one in Pentyla and a blue soft top in Port Talbot. I agree it would be nice to see other zeds. I really want to hear a hks exhaust in person.

The remote looks cheap but it works ok. There are three wires coming off the sat nav. yellow red and white like any tv has. When you turn on the freeview it overrides the sat nav.
Here are some pics of the new wheels they look soo clean now I love it.
cheers

Ok I bought this one off ebay because it is nice, small and simple. It is also better to connect to the car as from over the years getting a home box to work in the car gets complicated lol.

I got it the following day.
I connected the power to the cigarette lighter as it was just easier for me and I run the aerial around the passenger footwell. The box itself is sitting under the aircon controller box infront of the gearknob. Its working brilliant however I dont want to have the aerial on the roof. The issue is the aerial needs to be stuck on metal for it to work so I will have a go at a few ideas I have before I buy a windscreen aerial.
TBH It is more of a gadget/gimmick as I wont be watching tv on the move anyway. I am however going to the airport on Thursday to pick someone up so it will be usefull while I wait. If the radio works good then that will be usefull as Kiss 101 drops out of reception in many areas my way.

The members who seen the car at the breakfast meet would have seen the terrible state the wiper arms were in. I had them off last night and repainted them satin black. They look like new now and go well with the bosch aerotwin wipers.
As of now the car sits on axle stands whilst the wheels are getting refurbed. I like my wheels looking new and they were shocking. kurbed all the way around and paint bubbling on the spokes. Should get them back in two hours time. In the mean time I painted the brake disc bells as they looked rusty. Should go nicely with the wheels. I also got a full set of Rays wheelnuts so hopefully it will look mint.
Cheers

My Freeview box turned up today and I couldnt wait to try it out. I got it off ebay and it fits under the white aircon controller box in the dash. With it all wired up it works a treat. Here's some pics.

I have spare set of 50w ballasts laying about. I was using them as spot lights before and they got pretty hot in use so I guess your right on that one. I seen a set of bi xenons on a 2006 and tbh i didnt like the style of them .
-
Incase it sounds this way I am not asking if I am capable I am asking if it is safe to do it
-
Well it seems the performance of my HID's is terrible at best on my 2003 ZED. The question is can I wire in my 50w ballasts safely or will I risk the expensive electronics inside the car.
Cheers

I got an exhaust made the day after I got the car and got a pop charger off a fellow member . Ontop of that I got a Nurrish Sat Nav Which looks the dogs b........ I cleaned the interior and to my surprise its like new except for the drivers floor mat I must say I made the right choice in car. I got one of those laser etched gear knobs coming and some wheel spacers too. Cant wait to fit them. I made it although quite late to the breakfast meet in Bath today and I just like to thank everyone for being so friendly. I loved the other zeds and it gives me some ideas haha.
