  1. I've got ducting to the inside of the front brake discs to keep them cooler and I'm positive it works but from my GTIR days those cars benefit greatly from a brake master cylinder stopper bracket as the firewall moved when you pressed the brakes. Has anyone bothered to fit one on a 350z? I've got braided lines and RBF600 and the feel isn't as hard as I think they should be.

  2. I bought C1+ kit, EXO kit, T1, C6, C5, C4, G1 and G4. It was an expensive parcel lol. The paint overall does feel slick but I had noticed after the third coat of C1.5 that the microfibre was grabbing a bit. The sheeting is unmatched though. I am not using EXO on my car untill I have had the front end resprayed as it is quite expensive to waste. The I1 I want just to play with clothes lol A water proof hoodie would be great. Or a super water proof jacket.

  3. I recently bought a range of goodies from these guys including the EXO spray and I am very impressed so far. I have so far used C1+ and C1.5 Silo Seal. Also the G1 window stuff. That was a bit of a nightmare to get off but, it deffinately works a treat. I want to get some of the I1?? For the fabrics at waxstock tomorrow. I dont think I will ever use wax again. I don't see the point. Atleast just now.

The light, rear quarter panel, door and side skirt have been done. Its better in person but also to add that after going over it all with my rotary that was pretty much the finish anyway lol. Proof that its all in the prep. The C1.5 did add gloss.

    Remember the HD button.

    Cheers

  4. I am only trying to share my real world experiences instead of forum led experiences on the world of detailing. I think that having a nice looking car like the 350z detailed is as important as any other mod like exhaust or wheels etc... Its even better having a professional that is well experienced in doing 350z's like Wasso doing it for you. However not everyone (Detailing companies) shares the high expectations you may have on what a detailed car should be so paying someone to do it is a little risky. Like me you may be left with doing it yourself which is no big issue really but it will take alot longer. Also there is the learning curve which is why a da is good to use. The megs microfibre system is very good and would cut down the time considerably. On the other hand you could forget about all this detailing lark and just do the classic srp and wax and not worry about snow foam and swirls. I wish i had sometimes as it would be easier to not worry about it. It can be a bottemless pit for money if you get too caught up in the hype.

  5. All I can say is theres oil money in Aberdeen. It's because of that I did the golf r32 for a friend who lives in Aberdeen. Considering the amount of hours and hard work involved there would be a minimum amount I'd expect to pay. However nobody realises that so consider £300-500 to be a huge amount. Everyone knows its worth it in the end :)

  6. With summer finally here I had to give the car a clean ;) I machine polished the car over a year ago and through correct washing technique the swirls have never come back :D Having OCD probably helps lol The gloss is mainly the actual finish of the paint rather than the wax applied :)

My sisters Bora has shocking headlights that I have been wanting to fix for a long time but never had the chance. Friday was the day I finally got to do it. They were that bad that at night you could barely see a thing. I had to wet sand them down to get rid of the badly scoured surface.

Sanded with 1500 and 2500 wet and dry. Not alot of difference really lol

    Finally polished out

Here is a comparison with the lights on.

I had my neighbour asked me to do his matiz headlights after seeing these  They were bad but not like those. I didn't get pics of those though.

    Thanks for looking

  7. The car was left parked by a bush for three weeks that brushed the car in the wind scratching it. It was also not really cared for in general so it had scratches all over. This is where the main bulk of time was spent. More than 35 hours on compounding alone. The swirls were easy to remove. In person the swirls were much worse then the camera could capture in the sun.

Really bad scratches. You can see a bad spot nearer the edge as a haze.

The grainy pics is actually the metallic fleck in the blue and the iphone 4s taking them. Also there is no wax or anything in any of the pics above I will be using dodo juice bouncers 22 later tonight. Great wax. I have loads of video as I thought it was better to see the effects of detailing. I will upload them.

  8. So I have been busy doing a mates car. Taken me about 55 hours using a DA and Megs microfibre pads. I need a rotary before doing anymore lol. I am just an amatuer and did the best I could.

  9. I snapped one today so its off the the machine shop in the morning. The motor factors only stocks two nipples. 10mm and 8mm or something. The brembos are 10mm correct??

    Mark,

I have plenty new bleed nipples in stock good to go same/next day if required.

Off the top of my head, I can't remember the size mate, however the pitch is also equally important.

    Alex :)

    Alex,

The weather has been terrible lately and today and tomorrow are the only good weather this week so I dont have time to wait for a nipple yet. There is a motor factors that has them in stock so I am going to whip the caliper off and head over to check. Also getting the old one drilled/taken out professionally so hopefully everything goes to plan. If not I will let you know. After reading about seized nipples I decided to have a check today while I wait for the lines and fluid to arrive. It all started off well until I hit this one. Would not budge at all and ended up snapping pretty easily. Glad I tried this before changing the hoses first. Would be right up @*!# creek then.

    Cheers

  10. With a full tank I can do 420 miles at 80mph with cruise control on. On refil I managed about 72 litres. Not bad. Doing 60 it will do 36mpg but is really boring lol. My old pulsar got to 31 mpg one time by staying behind lorries. Made a big difference but again very boring.

Just realised it was a 45 challenge so what I said was a bit irrelevant. oops :bang:
