if I was buying mine again I’d go for one with a place for a temperature sensor. You might want to add an Oil temperature gauge.

Oh damn it! As I have one for Z, but like the look of that carbon one and was hoping I can get one as well lol but can't be arsed with trimming it and trying to make it fit lol
Dremel makes light work of it, just takes so long knowing what to take off.
See what the finished article looks like but couldn't get the angle of the gauges to my satisfaction.
No sure what i'll fix it to the pillar with yet
One I bought from Tarmac, came with little hole in it, to use a screw to screw it to the A-pillar, but I didn't fancy having a screw, so used one of them glues from Halfords, that comes in 2 tubes and you mix them together and it's solid.
Think i'll do the same.. glue

Nice! What gauge pod is that? Generic one or specific for 350z?
Generic job that i've spent hours trying to get to the correct size.. next time i'll buy one that already fits perfectly

Last job i'd completed was the samco hoses. Think they look good :

Think it's about time i started some kind of build thread...
I'll add bits as i go along but todays progress is gauges that power up
Only temperature that works so far but not a bad start...

Is annoying new houses have garages that aren't made for cars they think most people just use them for storage. Double garages are the future
-
Would be fantastic, it's the hassle of MOT road tax insurance etc.
I'd just got a new car thinking it would be fine to tow the Z, now starting to think should have done more investigation beforehand
This is what mine can tow: Unbraked Towing Weight
750 kg Braked Towing Weight
1800 kg
might be ok but on the web they're talking about extra cooling gear box cooling

Found this interesting:

Interested in this myself.. defo time to sort one. didn't think about my licence, will look on the DVLA website now
Been advised it's better to just rent one when needed, cheaper and saves storage and maintenance.

Are you trying to fit a aftermarket wide-band sensor and gauge setup? if so you can fit to the decats as the std cat monitor sensors are turned off, I have used twin wide-bands in the std cats, and it does mess with the AFR reading slightly, but not enough to make a big difference, but with decats it will read correctly.
Sorry probably should have said it's for an aftermarket gauge setup won't this only read one side of the engine? E.g. any issues on the other side i won't know about it.
Also the De-cats have the sensors set right back, not in the exaust flow. think it's to fool the orignal none up rev ECU setup
Will try and dig out a picture of them.
Look how far back the o2 sensors are:
