  2. Must admit I set myself a little oil cooler challenge. If I could get an oil cooler fitted with no leaks and do a track day I'd go forced induction! That was about 2 years ago. Still not gone forced induction :(

oil cooler working well but currently pointless.

Sent on the move, excuse any typos :)

  3. cant (although i love rockingham) since my new car needs a new rad - ergo, i'm skint for august! will get her on track in september.

have fun though, rockingham is a great track, stay away from the wall!

Don't plan on going anywhere near that wall :)

Shame pal. Hopefully see you at Cadwell. Love that track

New brake pads all round, flushed the brake fluid change the gear box oil and diff oil, she's all ready for the next track day! #Trackaddict

    :yahoo:

Then bring on more power! Superchager or Turbo still undecided. So tempted by the Syvecs ECU just can't get over the cost.

Did get a quote from Jez at Horsham, he might get a phone call from me one day all excited wanting to order the Syvecs ECU, especially if I win the lottery.

  6. I believe Ken is thinking of getting something more expensive than me, i'm still all about keeping it cheap. Also Ken has a few other commitments coming up, so might be looking for a car next year sometime, whereas I knew I wanted to get back into trackdays and would have the funds available now.

And also I am keen to take a few other people out in a car, which obviously ken didn't want to fork out half of the cost of ownership, tax and insurance for someone else to be using the car, so if I go it alone I can decide whether I want to charge my mates a usage fee for the car or not, that kinda thing.

Plus no offence to Ken but I also fancied a bit of a change, we've done nearly all the tracks in the UK in a beemer now so there isn't a lot more to do, but with my new car I can take people out who have never done track driving before, so it'll be like starting afresh again.

there is a bit of risk involved on my part that I take someone out who then crashes the car, but I trust all my friends to make a contribution to repair or replacement costs if that does happen - although in 25 trackdays we've only hit something once, and that would have likely been prevented by decent tyres which we now have, and traction control, which I can keep on when a novice is driving the car.

Any progress mate? when's the next track day :teeth: I’m looking to get something booked ASAP just fancied something different than Oulton wondering if you had anything planned.

  7. No. Or own my own garage with Mr Arizona working there when hes not working at Harrys.

Tuning companies are glacial in their response time and always booked up 3/4 months in advance.

Also, may sell the car as is with fully built bottom end supplied but unfitted. Will need circa 3000 quid spending on it to get it fitted then you're back on the road albeit with only 430bhp.

Might be interested pal if you do decide to start selling bits.

  8. I cut the lump near the transmission tunnel and re-welded ...

Might have to do the same if I find the seat position isn't right :( Not drove my car with the seats in the new position yet, felt ok so fingers crossed.
