  1. Nope... Didn't see what he used... I was in my office working. Damn work! Gotta say it's the dogs danglies though.... Looks a little more orange in the photo's than it is. He mixed up the colour by eye, so it matched was IS there, rather than the "original" colour. Plus he put a clear finishing 'glaze' over everything to get it to stay looking good for as long as possible. It's now dry to the tough, but he says to leave it to dry for as long as possible. Preferably 3-4 hours. Im probably going to leave it for at least 2-3 days anyway. Really pleased with the results, get what you pay for!
  2. Spot any difference? I am WELL pleased with the result!!!
  3. Leamington Spa isn't that far from them... they might come over to you. Drop em a line with some pics. Im sure they will quote you,
  4. Thats not a bad price, is that for the whole drivers seat and gear knob?? Nope... that is for "all" the damaged leather... drivers side bolsters, passenger side bolsters, gear stick, handbrake and steering wheel! He isn't treating where is doesn't need it.... but is doing everywhere else.
  5. HE HE ... cheers. I had a great drive the other day, so I am pretty confident I will be OK. The commentary isn't part of the test, but apparently some examiners ask you to do it for a couple of mins.... I can't shut up ever ANYWAY... im a bloomin' blabber mouth
  6. The guy is here... looked at it and said £150 for the lot. He is getting on with it now, so I will let you know how it goes.....
  7. Well, I very much recommend it!
  8. Cheers Chris.... HOURS of time spent.... Don't think I have the patience to spend that long with a toothbrush Plus as you can see from the photo's the leather is actually damaged in a few places, not just cracked. Will see what this guy says this morning...
  9. Current damage... I think the gear stick is beyond repair
  10. Anyone used these guys? http://www.midlandsmars.co.uk They are coming round today to look at my seats and give me an estimate on what they can do and how much it will be. The seats are just on the cusp of being what I would call "bad" ... so I want to catch them before they go. Anyone any idea how much this kind of thing costs? If it is worth it?
  11. YOU are the guy I am scared off... as it is a Police Advanced Driver who will be my examiner for my test!
  12. Yes please... PM'd
  13. Just passed my pre-test! WOO HOO!!! gotta book for the real thing now...
  14. Looks good! May need to have a search about... anyone done this?
  15. No problem... it's the actual knob im after....
  16. Is this the Alezan leather? Who ever had it... I will Pay DECENT cash for the gear stick!
  17. Hi Jim, I've said to the other lads that I'm not too keen on putting prices on the forum as I work in a very competitive market and I wouldn't want my competitors to just see my prices and just undercut me to try and get the work. My second reason is that if people are genuinely interested in having work done then I prefer to have a more personal conversation with them. Having said that, maybe more people would be more keen if they knew a rough figure... so full wrap prices on a Zed range from around £1100 - £1750 subject to the materials used and the amount of coverage (Door shuts etc). Cheers, K
  18. Talk to this guy... viewtopic.php?f=132&t=42694 Few bods on here doing it....
  19. Glad i did mine yesterday... my car/road is now covered in snow! Knew I should have put her back in the Garage last night....
  20. As many as you need.... It is all down to when you and your observer can meet up. Nothing "official" just when you and him/her recon you are ready for your "pre-test" .... I txt/email my observer and we meet up when ever we are both free. Then you do a pre-test, to see if a DIFFERENT observer things you are ready... then you do your test
  21. Looked into a wrap rather than a respray? I recon Matt black would look great (kinda "Suede effect", Ricey) But a wrap would be easier/cheaper and removable... plus you don't have to tell the DVLA
  22. Training is all on road, in your car, with an observer. Basically, they go out with you, let you drive at the highest quality you can. Then stop you and tell you how SHITE you are at driving
  23. If the windows didn't drop, it could be the windows are frozen shut. It's only happened to me once. I just left it in the garage and waited for it to warm up (which was a WEEK later!) Im sure some peeps may be able to help. Have a searchy, I remember there being a few threads on it.
  24. I decided to try to do it over Crimbo as they would be the worst conditions. so it would be harder to do. Didn't count on being SNOWED IN for two bloody weeks!
  25. These are simple, you slide the securing pin out (very good design) pop the joints onto the ball, then slide the securing pin back in and it locks onto the bar. Simple, clever, easy install.
